Dormer rooms are on the 4th and 5th floors of all the lodge buildings. There are some traditional style rooms on the 4th floor as well. The first, second, and third floors have all the traditional style rooms. The dormer rooms have two queen beds, but the traditional style rooms have a daybed in addition to the two queens.
To request a specific building and/or view, all you have to do is call whomever you made the reservations with (travel agent, central reservations, Disney travel) and tell them your preferences. They will note these on the reservation, but they cannot be guarenteed until check-in.
I really like the Alice theme. I have stayed in both Conch Key and Big Pine Key as well. Big Pine Key is very close to the main building and both pools. Conch Key is very close to Narcossees, the marina, and the boat dock. Conch Key is also a smaller building (the smallest of the "regular" lodge buildings, Big Pine Key is the largest). Any of the buildings are nice.
