Magical

The Disney Dining Experience card (now called Tables in Wonderland, stupid name) is a discount card offered to AP holders and Florida residents. You pay a yearly fee (currently $60 for AP holders), and you get 20% off food and beverages, even alcohol.

HTH! :sunny:

I'm going to get one of these for our summer trip :thumbsup2

Thanks to everyone for easing my fears about possibly booking one of the deluxe king RPC rooms! I've finished reading all 118 pages (whew!) and am armed with knowledge to take back to the boyfriend. Now to just plow through the YC/BC thread, list pros and cons of both, take the lists BACK to the Boyfriend and see what he says!

Thanks again :flower3:

good luck!

channing,

the standard RPC rooms that have castle views, where are they located? are the down that hall off the lobby past where there tabels and kids area stuff is in the lounge? We are not sure what to request for may, b/c we LOVE being off the lobby, but having a castle view again would be nice, too

I just wanted to ask one more time. Does anyone by chance have a pic of the view from a Boca Chica GV room. Thanks in advance.:flower3:

Thank you for your response...it sounds like a great addition, unfortunately I'm not an AP holder.

Magical:)

Not Chan- but I know the answer. :) They are down that long side hall. When the hall turns at the back elevator (the service elevator beside Gaspies) the rest of the rooms at the end are the castle view rooms. The view is out over the length of the marina and strait on to the castle.

It is nice to be right above the lobby, but the castle view is beautiful too. It would be hard to decide which is better.

I have some in a scrapbook. I'll see if I can remove one and scan it and post it in a little while. We did love this view :thumbsup2

IWISH and johnnyr Sorry while I dont have pics to post from Boca Chica GV ...I can describe the view to you!!:) Mostly it is a view of the courtyard pool and looking towards the main building...it is very pretty...and especially so at night with everything all lit up...This is my favorite choice when booking a GV room...HTH...

IWISHFORDISNEY ~ I'm sorry but the photo I have is not really of any use because it is just of my daughter on the balcony, with the railing behind her (b/c she was still so little!) and only the towers and cupolas of the main building in the back ground...

But I was able to find one pic online that is taken from Boca Chica and shows what a 1st floor, GV view of the pool area and Main Bldg. looks like. This would be from the Narcoossee's/Conch Key end of Boca Chica vs. Big Pine Key end. This view is even better at night :wizard: And our view was better b/c we were on a higher floor and centered over the pool. Anyway, hope this helps a little bit.

I finally decided to request Conch Key, and am hoping for a great view! Gonna search this thread for views from either side.

...Sounds good! I know Cinderumbrella *Kristin* stayed in Conch..that's her favorite...she has view pics from both sides. I kinda never thought I'd like Conch...but I think I would now after walking around and checking it out and now knowing that one side of Sago is really eh.;) Conch looks like it has some very pretty garden views. :) Good choice!

Liz...I have some pics of the Boca Chica views....I have to find them and get them into photobucket...I will post them in a bit.

Happy day,
Channing

I have a weird quest...... nahh im just fooling yay but i have a question about royal palm club. If you dont get a room viewing the magic kingdom does that mean you get a room so when u walk out you can see the lobby? If so is the rooms overlooking the lobby loud?

Alex- MK view rooms will never face the lobby. Lobby view rooms would face the courtyard, the beach or even the monorail.

MK view rooms are down a long corridor well away from the lobby.

No idea about noise, never heard a thing- except our group being loud right outside our door. (SOMEONE locked us out! LOL)

Melissa I sure miss that old room decor...dont get me wrong the new rooms are beautiful but I liked all of the colors and patterns of the old...:confused3

It seems everyone really has enjoyed Narcoosees ...or Narcoopsees as Mr.Fols called it...;) We try to eat here every trip...I think that the view really makes it even that much better...

I also miss the old decor... but at least the new one is nice too.

Im laughing so hard...I've read this board for so long but had to register and comment about Narcoopsees. I wonder if that is a typo or not.... My son used to call it NarPOOPsies when he was little. We would laugh and laugh and laugh until it was time to change his diaper...oh those were fund times back in the day.

The view is so beautiful from Narcoossee's, isn't it?

In the good old days, we had lunch at Narcoossee's every trip. We still miss that.:sad2:

It is a great view and I also miss the lunch back in the good old days. As the sands slowly slip through the hourglass of our lives Im happy that we were able to spend so mucn time at Disney. Im sure you agree its nice to have those memories.

I think we should all start a Narcoossee's fan thread :goodvibes

Im there!!!!!!

It is nice to be right above the lobby, but the castle view is beautiful too. It would be hard to decide which is better.

I so agree. you cant go wrong with either one. I never noticed any noise from a room above the lobby. It was great to to open the door when the music would surround you...

What does everyone think of Sugar Loaf? Any thought and/or information is appreciated

Like I've written here before, we stayed in the SL building a few years ago and enjoyed it. The "lounge" area is the little lobby of the building, so it's very convenient to grab something or ask a question when going to/from your room. The food servings are the same as RPC, but you're not in the main building. The SL building is very close to the main building and the quiet pool.

What I didn't like: we really missed the views of the lagoon, EWP, fireworks and castle that we had the few times we stayed in the Boca Chica building.

The CMs in SL were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They really added to our stay. SL was very quiet when we were there.

I'm sure that the RPC lounge in the main building is much bigger (you can see that in the photos) and it would be nice to be overlooking the lobby, but we really enjoyed SL the one time we stayed there.:)

thanks to all who posted replies about all the great Basin white products! I'm excited to send a gift basket to my freshman daughter who is away at college! She will be thrilled to see that it came from the GF! :goodvibes

Our favorite lodge building is Conch Key! We have had garden views overlooking both the marina and the main pool, and both were wonderful. We traveled with another family who paid $100 more per night for their theme park view room, and although it was nice, I think our "garden view" was just as nice and a much better value. It is a short walk to the boat dock, and if you exit the marina side, you are a stone's throw from Gaspies.

Finally, we love, love, love Narcoosees! so many happy memories there and usually our arrival night pick! We also love Citricos, it has a more "special occasion" feel to it.

Sigh! wishing I was there right now!

MattDisney - We've enjoyed our stays in SL as well, the CMs are very nice and the location of the building is convenient.

grannyminnie - Conch Key is our favorite non-CL building! We like the location, being near Narcoossee's, the boat launch, the quiet pool and you can head out the back door to the marina and Gasparilla's!
