The *New* Grand Floridian Resort and Spa FAQ thread (NOV 2008)

We'll be there February 10-17. I'm laughing because this started as an "economy trip" for the girls to compete in Twirlmania. We went from CBR to WL to the Poly to the GF! It will be me, DH, 2 dds and ds and my in-laws. Our paths keep crossing - we've got to finally meet up! We just booked gv for Feb., hoping to get a nice marina view in Conch Key or Sago Cay. My kids love being close to Gasparilla's.

Have a great time! It must be really nice to be relaxing in the club lounge and listening to the Christmas music and enjoying the tree, Gingerbread House, etc. from a luxurious distance

Looks like we may be returning to the GF right after Christmas

Oh, my gosh, I think I'm gonna explode w/happiness .... we kept dorking around with our Christmas reservation because we're mixing cash and DVC points, and today I finally got RPC FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's only 3 nights, but I get to wake up there Christmas morning.

We're splitting the stay w/the Contemporary ('cuz dh wants to watch the fireworks from the club lounge, LOL) and then the Poly after the Grand.

Just had to share my excitement ...

Ellen is the talented lady that makes and decorates the little houses the GF sells. She does a demo daily - well she used to...you'll have to check and see if she still does....about 1 pm in front of the house.

Thank you both! And BCV, my dh said that exact thing about the 3 resorts. I'm not crazy about moving twice, but I was so happy to get the 3 nights at RPC, it'll be worth it.
