Now that pas130 has "made up" with the GF I thought it would be okay to post a picture of the RPC seating area. I hope it isn't too traumatic for pas130 to see this!
Perfect segue and picture!

Is seating ever hard to come by at the RPC? It looks to be the roomiest CL lounge, but it's hard to tell from the photos. Does it ever get really crowded and chaotic?

I never found the RPC lounge to be too crowded. I was there during the summer and we always were able to find a nice table. I was suprised during the evening, there was always a couch to sit in. It was very relaxing and quiet.

Thank you - that sounds lovely. The DIS is doing some strange mis-sequenced posting today with strange time stamps.

WDWKOOK I haven't stayed CL at any other resorts, only in SL and RPC at the GF, but it never seemed crowded to me. For people who haven't seen it this lounge area is next to food area. Below are a few more pictures to help give perspective. We only stayed there once, a few years ago so things may have changed a bit.

When you look up at the RPC from the lobby the food and lounge is above the elevators. The picture below is to the left of the lounge area with couches I posted before.

Additionally there are tables in the hallway on either side if the main area. To put it in perspective this picture would be above the GF band. You can see the Polynesian through the window.

This picture is on the other side of the main lounge and food area.

There is also a balcony with tables and chairs outside to sit out when
the weather is nice (and in my experience it usually is!)

Do you work in RPC sales, Jungle Cruiser? If not, you should! Thank you for posting those lovely photos. They really offer a great view of the available seating. Is the lounge in more than one room?

I have read some discouraging reviews of SL being crowded and chaotic, so I wanted to make sure that RPC wasn't that way. I've been instructed by DH to "book anything I want" for our 25th anniversary next summer, so RPC is in split-stay contention for our two week annual vacation. I'm definitely booking WL/CL (our favorite) and we're going to try BWI's CL. But, I'm contemplating throwing in RPC, but three resorts in two weeks might be too many:scratchin

Three resorts in two weeks, when those resorts are WL/CL, BWI/CL and the RPC is not too much!!!:goodvibes

My dream job would be the greeter at the RPC (two problems, I live in NJ and the job doesn't exsit)! The lounge is a completely open area. The food and couches could be considered an open lobby area with part of the hallways having the additional tables and chairs. Seating can sometimes be a problem during appetizers when people don't tend to leave the tables, they like to relax and listen to the music from the lobby below! AHHHH, wish I was there now!

I found Sl to be busy in the morning. Other than that, the rest of the day was very relaxing. I never had a hard time finding a table in SL. Even in the morning I could find a place to sit.

You're the perfect enabler:worship: If it were up to me, you've got the job, but you will have to move to FL - have you considered Golden Oak?;)

For those who have stayed in a STD room RPC, did you get the room view/location you requested?

Wow, yesterday's posts are confusing! I kept trying to find a quoted post, only to realize it was out of order.:headache:

Jungle Cruiser - haha, I did say Poly/GF, didn't I?! My brain knew you posted Poly/BC, but my fingers wouldn't cooperate. It will be a nice change of pace, I'll bet, and you can visit the Grand very easily from the Poly. Kind of nice to see her from that perspective. And we have fallen in love with the BC, I think you will, too.

Love your RPC photos, I wish we had a trip planned there!:lovestruc We enjoy that balcony, too, but I think it is now a designated smoking area? Of course, it is often empty.

WDWKOOK - we have stayed in SL and RPC, and though SL is more crowded than RPC, I rarely see it "chaotic." Maybe at breakfast during a peak season, or when it is 100% booked.

RPC's lounge area is quite nice, as the others have posted, since it has so many nooks to sit in. There are various seating areas on all three floors, and in my experience, the couches and chairs on the floors above the lounge are rarely used.

lala3291 - So close!:cool1::cool1: I will try to think of anything that has been asked and not yet answered. Oh, you might check on the current policy for the cappucino machine - there is some question as to whether it is on and working for the entire day, or only certain hours? Thanks!

Here is a photo of a seating area on the fifth floor of RPC, to give an idea of the extra nooks you find:

It is located above the children's area of the lounge:

We stayed in RPC TPV last summer. Had a good view of the castle, with a plam tree in the way. It was room 4401. The palm tree was to the left of the balcony. It really didn't block the view of the castle. but it was there.

I always got my requests when I did request a room. Just requested one of the rooms that we stayed in SL in 09 for this upcoming summer vacation. It was a great room. I think someone from here also posted that they stayed in that particular room.

Thought I was going crazy when I was reading the posts. They are mixed up.

We were upgraded to the RPC TPV a few years ago, King room (don't remember the room number) but we had the same palm tree situation. We could see the castle but had to look around the top of a palm tree. Oh, how I wish that was my view now! ;)

Looks like the time stamp is working again, that was crazy last night!

AND Happy Veteren's Day to all my friends on the Board and thank you to all those who have served our country!

In the fifth floor photo it appears that there is a hallway leading from the doorway at the far end of the seating area. What type of room is located in that hall?

I thought the fifth floor rooms were only around the lobby. I have never ventured up to the fifth floor.

I recognize the fourth floor hallway as it leads to the rooms with my favorite view :)

You are all wonderful enablers! Thank you for the great RPC photos and comments.

I am resolved to (finally) book a RPC STD room today, but first I have a room request question. It seems that the STD RPC rooms have either lagoon or pool views? We would like a lagoon view (two queens/without a connecting door). Are the STD RPC lagoon views all of the Poly/CR area? Would my request simply be "lagoon view?" Are there RPC dormer (turret?) rooms? Are the marina area views all TPV rooms? Phew - thanks!

It's all good :lovestruc I am still disappointed I was being too much of a BRAT to take pictures :headache: Next time......

 pas130! No RPC booking yet, but hopefully someone will answer my room location question soon so I can book:hyper:
