Thank you KC mike for that picture, I LOVE that foundtain, what I wouldn't give to have that in my yard!

I know what you mean. It would probably only cost us a few grand or so? No play on words there either.:thumbsup2

Thank you very much. I don't know exactly why but I enjoy the B&W's just as much as the colors as well. Is it going to be a family vacation or any big celebration next June? Have fun planning!!

My husband has become handicapped due to some incidents during his time overseas. There are other families who have it way worse so I'm not complaining at all, but he is getting out of the army early next year. We are celebrating that as well as this being our first wdw trip as a family. its a first trip for myself, our kids and my mom so we are all REALLY excited. Army life has been difficult (again not complaining), but we could really use some family time as we enter back into civilian life.

WDW certainly will be a wonderful place for some well deserved family time for all of you!

Thank you to your husband for his service and to your family for your sacrifices while he has served. :flower3:

If anyone with an annual pass is playing around on the website could you do me a HUGE favor and see if anything has opened up from December 2 -4 at the grand with the AP rate. I plan on buying an ap when we arrive but right now I have the 11/27-12/2 with the 40 % off and then rack rate the second and third. If anyone would mind checking I would really appreicate it. ALso if you wouln't mind checking if both dates aren't available is just December 2nd.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate your time!

Thank you so much! You appreciation is appreciated! :goodvibes We are staying TPV after doing half our trip at ASMo. I was hoping to send DH to the spa for a massage, so I was pretty bummed when the announcement came out about the spa closing. How is the spa at Saratoga? DH walks with a cane now, is it a long walk getting around the GF property?

We are here and it's wonderful! We are in, as per our request a first floor room in Sugar Loaf. We got in yesterday afternoon a couple of hours before it started to pour, basically all night. We awoke to blue skies this morning and walked around. Everything looks wonderful and honestly, until you walk past the waterfall pool towards the Polynesian you wouldn't know there was construction. There is no noise and I have taken pictures from the walkway to the Polynesian of the walls up. It is, really a non issue at this point. Also, this was the week that rumors flew around that the dredging in the Seven Seas Lagoon' specifically around the wedding chapel was to take place. There was no sign of it today and I even saw a bride on her way into the chapel on her father's arm.

So, I am going to try to take pictures of Twilight Refreshers. We are here long enougth I should be able to. I am also going to try to get a list of the two hot and two cold appetizers that change daily!

If anyone has any questions I will see if I can get answers. Off to EPCOT!

Yay!!!! You made it!!! Enjoy your stay. I'm so happy for you!!!:goodvibes

Grand Floridian related or kind of....I wanted to share this, because it's adorable. So a well known fact here is my DD is a HUGE GF fan :lovestruc Today is her 7th birthday, and we are "playing hooky" (one of her requests) her first present today was the H20 Sea Marine Shampoo/conditioner set. She is SO happy! She said it's the best present, because now she can always smell like the Grand Floridian and it makes her "super happy"

I LOVE it!!!:thumbsup2

Not AP but I switched poly ressie to GF for Dec 2-5 and my pin rate came down from $351 to around $330 per night. With tax

If anyone in SL was kept up by a screaming baby last night I sincerely apologize. My DD fell ill yesterday and was up all night crying. It was so loud that I was surprised no one came up to our room to see what was wrong.

So that was YOU?! I knocked on your door, but I guess you didn't hear me:rotfl:

I'm glad that everyone is on the mend now and Lily's fever has passed.

CR Fan - thanks for the info regarding discount availability in December!:thumbsup2

Jungle Cruiser - Glad you've made it safely, and your request was met!:goodvibes Thanks for the info regarding the construction, good to know it isn't intrusive.

Looking forward to your photos!:flower3:

SallyNeko21 - Welcome!:goodvibes

Congrats on booking your first trip to the GF next summer, and what a wonderful thing to be celebrating. I'm sure you and your family could use some quality time together in a happy place.

I've been to the GF spa and SSR spa, and I think SSR is a bit better overall. The GF spa is great, don't get me wrong, but I think SSR's spa is a bit larger and newer.

The GF is not a very spread out resort, so I think your DH will do well with walking within the grounds. I have a pinned ankle, and sometimes find WDW a challenge - but rarely do so at the resort.:thumbsup2

pas130 - Happy Birthday to your DD!! What a cute story, I hope she enjoys the rest of her day as much.:cloud9:

Yesterday I was having a snack, tea I believe, in SL and I saw a woman with 2 children that fit the description of disneydreamin247. I took a chance and asked if she was on DIS and said I was Jungle Cruiser. It was in fact disneydreamin247 and her family. It turns out our rooms are both on the same short hallway in SL. I told her this afternoon when we were chatting we couldn't hear her daughter crying....poor little thing, she was asleep in her mother's arms. Small world!

Just got back from Twilight Refreshers. Tonight's hot appetizers were lamb meat balls in marinaria sauce and vegetable spring rolls. The cold appetizers were rice and artichoke tarts and Asian chicken slaw in little thin fried dough holders.

We came back to the room a little bit earlier last night and saw they now set up the movie screen at the end of the pool facing the main building. It is a great set up, families were watching from the chaises on the pool deck, as well as from in the pool!

Off to meet friends EPCOT!

I'm glad that everyone is on the mend now and Lily's fever has passed.

I can't wait to get home and get some antibiotics for this sinus infection that's quickly progressing into bronchitis. I'm also glad little Lily is feeling better. We had a much better day so hopefully we will have a restful night as well.

I was so excited to meet a real live DISer! It was lovely meeting you. I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip.

Jungle Cruiser - I like the sound of the new location for the movies. Convenient, and more likely we would remember - we usually forgot about it, when it was on the beach!

Cute about running into disneydreamin!:goodvibes

disneydreamin247 - Sorry to hear you and your little one have been under the weather. Can your doctor call in a prescription to Walgreens? We do that when we are out of town - you can go to the local Walgreens, have them look up the prescription from your hometown, and get what you need. I've even gotten a partial prescription filled, just enough for the trip, when I couldn't use my insurance. I hope you are all feeling better soon.
