pas130, congratulations on your reservation score!!!!:cool1:

scampagna6, my experience at the GF, Y&BC and CR is that it is fine to leave your car where they direct you while you chekc in but the valet desk will hold the keys. No big deal to me. I tip $1 when I return after checking in which should be much less than 20 minutes in my experience. Welcome to the FAQ!:grouphug:

CRFan and everyone else, I am anxious to hear the early reports of the changes to monorail service. I haven't read anywhere that there will be a bus from the TTC to the GF or CR for those who return from Epcot after the MK has closed. Let's say MK closes at 7 so MK monorail (Express anyway) ceases operation at 8pm. Epcot is open until 9pm (9:30 during Candlelight Processional nights) so the Epcot monorail must be working until 10pm. If a GF or CR fan returns at 9pm, will there be buses at the TTC. No mention of that so far so I still hold out hope that the resort monorail will operate until at least ten.

Hi to everyone!

KCmike - I am drooling over those pictures.

We are now 5 days away from our trip to GF, but my FIL is now unresponsive after the emergency brain surgery on Monday.

So, I guess I am going to live my vacation through all these great pictures. Keep them coming!

:rotfl: I should do that! Yes, I will email them now. Starting with..Hi I'm the crazy lady with the 5 kids who changed from your resort 2x or 3x...........:lmao:

It's nice to know I'm not the only crazy one with a ton of kids at GF. Next time we'll be bringing 6.

Mommygina, i am so sorry to hear about your FIL. keeping you in my thoughts.

MommyGina...I am so sorry about your FIL. You and your family are in my thoughts. I hope his condition has improved since you posted this information.
Take care

So excited my sister and I are staying at the RPC for a girls trip . I have emailed IPO office and they have made some ADR's for us. My question is should I have received a Itinerary planning sheet or packet to fill out so they at least know when we arrive? (flights not in package). I did receive a packet asking names, ages, adr's events, any special occasions, when would arrive, ect... from the IPO when we stayed club level at the Poly and Yacht club. Don't they still do this?

BCV23 - I think you are right - in most of the threads I've read, the majority of posters assume the monorails will run 1 hour past park closing for whichever park is later. You might still have to grab a cab from dining, shopping, drinking around the monorail past 10:00, but at least most will get TO their reservations.

I hope so we actually have been looking for SL but would take RPC

Sorry - I misunderstood. Good luck, I hope you are able to snag the SL CL room.:thumbsup2

Oh, MommyGina, I am SO sorry. We went through the same kind of thing with my father earlier this year, and it is so painful. Best of luck to you and your family, and I hope your FIL pulls through.

Welcome!:goodvibes Very exciting that you and your sister will be vacationing at the GF, in RPC!:dance3:

Do you mean the packets they used to send in the mail? Or an email, with a form attached? I have not received either in quite some time, but I've read of others who have gotten the email forms lately. If you would like to fill out that kind of info, you can call and ask for the forms, or email. I'm sure they will send them to you right away. Phone is 407-824-1775.

Thank you for the info BCV23 :flower3:
It is not a big deal to me either if Valet holds the keys and I will tip them for doing so also :) They would definately be making the whole check in and getting out to my ADR much easier! I did not want them to have to Valet park the car just to bring it back a few minutes later...they'd probably think I was nuts:rotfl:

Thank You k&a&c'smom those were the packets I was talking about. It has been a while since we stayed club level and I was not sure if they still did them are not. Since I have my adr's I think I am set. I am thinking I might surprise my sister with a spa visit for her first trip.

In the link I posted from the transportation board it said when coming back from Epcot after the Monorail closed over there, the Contemporary is sharing a bus with the TTC. It also said the Polynesian and Grand Floridian are sharing the other bus from there.

Only 72 days until our GF stay! DS is so excited to get in that pool. He makes me show him pictures of the waterfall everyday. :rotfl:

I didn't get one this year from ipo either when we were at the Yacht club.

For my families upcoming Club Level stays next month at the Boardwalk Inn and Beach Club we were e-mailed the planning sheet to fill out what mode of transportation we are arriving in, the time we expected to be there, if we have any requests and etc.

You're welcome. LOL about nuts. :rotfl:

I'm sure the valet agrees that my dollar tip is no big deal. :lmao: On the other hand, they only hold the keys in case it's necessary to move the car. I'm usually doing this first thing in the morning on a day in which we're resort switching so that's unlikely.

Thanks, I had read that. I'm talking about using the resort monorail while the Epcot monorail is still operating but the MK express has stopped. Often in the winter months, the MK closes before Epcot.

MommyGina, I'm so sorry about your FIL. I hope there has been improvement overnight. :grouphug:

Well during the winter months the Magic Kingdom only closes before Epcot when they have Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. On regular nights during that time they generally stay open until 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM, not including nights when it's PM Extra Magic Hours.

That is the case when it's getting close to Christmas but in our experience that is not so in early Dec or for most of January...at least to the best of my memory. :rotfl:

edited to add that I just looked at this year's calendar. It appears that there are a bazillion parties in December now. So you're right about that month. Looking at November and January, there are a few days in November on which the MK closes at 8pm with no party listed. Most non-EMH in January, the MK closes at 8pm.

Oh I am so sorry! What a horrible time your family is having:hug: First losing your mom, now your FIL is critically ill....Lots of prayers coming your way!

k&a&c'smom and bcv23 Thanks! I'm sooooooooooooooooo excited!
