I read on another thread when checking-in online you needed to use the same credit that was made when the reservation was made, so I am just wondering is that true?

Curious about this as well.........our check card numbers were compromised last month, so our bank issued new cards with new numbers! Our reservation was made with the old numbers. Does anyone else have any info on this?

When checking in online you have the option of changing your credit card info. Mine was pre-filled with the card my AAA TA had on file.

As to the pool, will the construction fence stay up? Any more info on these unscheduled closings?

I expect the fence will be up until the whole project is complete as the areas contained therein are a mess.
The "unscheduled maintenance" to which I referred is their delicate way of notifying everyone to get out of the pool for an "accident". Now that the pool is open again, it will be open...

an itinerary to fill out and send back B4 your visit? In years past we have received an Email from Concierge asking for info and if we needed any ADR's, etc.
This trip we didn't receive anything. Are they still sending the form? Thx!

What type of fabric is on the daybed? It looks kind of shiny in one of the pictures.

I'm guessing it's some kind of cotton or cotton/poly blend. There is a bit of sheen to some of the stitching, but the material definitely isn't "satiny" in any way. HTH a bit!

The past few vacations my family and I have stayed on the Atrium Club floor we have not got any e-mails from the Contemporary IPO. However any requests we have are always done by the Cast Members working on the Atrium Club floor and we don't make any ADR's before we arrive at WDW, so it's not a big deal for us. Anyway your not the only one who has not got an e-mail from them.

We booked our August trip in February and received the email from IPO about a week later. It was the same sheet we receive every year from them. I would suggest you might want to give them a call and let them know if you have any special requests so when the time comes there won't be any issues.

This will be our first time at the Contemporary and we are considering bringing a laptop. I had read that the safes at the Poly can hold a 17" laptop and that's what we have. Any info will will be appreciated. Staying in the garden wing if that makes a difference.

I don't think a laptop would fit in the safe and it makes no difference if your room is in the Tower or Garden Wing since they are both the same safes. Also the safes at the Polynesian are exactly the same as the ones at the Contemporary.

Here, finally, are pictures of the pool, taken Saturday morning, March 21. You can see that the barrier fence is still up around most of the area, and that the landscaping is not finished. The separate whirlpool is still not functioning as well.

My 15.5" laptop fit just fine in the safe at the Poly ... can't remember if we ever put it in the safe at the CR this last trip, but if the safes are indeed the same, I don't see a problem.
