I won't be able to post them here, though, until I get back. I can only seem to upload to my laptop, which isn't connected to the internet.
Just of the renovation of the Concourse Steakhouse would be fine. Since it was posted that they want Chef Mickey's Express to open on August 14th, it just so happens to be that my family and I are checking into the Contemporary on August 18th. So it would be nice to see it completed while we are there.
 
We were just there a few weeks ago with a Bay lake view. We could see the construction from our balcony. We found it fun to watch. The noise wasn't so bad and really didn't bother us at all. From the MK side you heard more noise. We were in the Atrium Club on the balcony and from there you heard all the noise of the trucks coming and going to the construction site. You heard the back up sound all day. I found that more annoying than the construction sounds that were further away. But I wouldn't worry about any of it since none of it disturbed us.
 
The room is fantastic. It's very well decorated, yet everything has a purpose. Lots of space to put stuff, decent seating. Attractive yet practical. The beds are comfy. The bathroom is very well designed for a family needing a little privacy. I do wish there was a little more drawer space.

There are a couple of glitches with the room--a plug in the bathroom doesn't work, a light is out, and some drawer seem to drift open. We don't complain because we're afraid they'll move us to a PERFECTLY working room that is NOT a MK view! :lmao:

The rooms on the Atrium Club (12th floor) and Tower Club (14th floor) are the only ones with a DVD player.

I don't remember if there is a site to calculate times, so hopefully someone else can answer that for you.

After the Resort Monorail leaves the Contemporary it goes to the TTC, Polynesian, Grand Floridian and the Magic Kingdom.

For the Resort Monorail is CR-TTC-Poly-GF-MK
Express Monorail: MK-TTC
Epcot Monorail: Epcot-TTC

If you have google earth you can find them (in 3-D) and then use the ruler tool. Or online use mapquest or google maps or something and "get directions" and there it will say the distance and estimated time. If you are using Disney Transportation, always allow more time than that

Yes, it's hot, but oddly mixed. We had a couple of rainy evenings which was nice and today, while hot without a drop of rain, was rather windy. The wind doesn't cool things down much but helps a bit with the sweating!

For transportation times, I think the Unofficial Guide has a nice chart. It's all a crap shoot, though, if you get the one bus that never. seems. to. come. Like AK on Monday night!
 
Hi Michy, What floor did you end up being put on? I am curious if the lower rooms have more or less noise than the upper rooms. Sounds like everything is going great. Have a fantastic trip!!!

I know I am not Michy however I think I can also answer this question. I say it does not make a difference in terms of noise. For example when my family and I have been on the 12th floor on the Chef Mickey's side we still heard the music from there, however it did not bother us at all. When we have been on the 6th floor we were right over the Monorail station and we never heard it going by while in our room.
 
We're on the 8th floor, which is a great location. Sometimes I hear a lot of ruckus from Chef Mickey's when I'm in the hall, but the second I close that door it's silence!
 
I saw this on another thread and thought I would ask here. Does the CR have swim vests available at the pool for kids. I was thinking of bringing my own, but if it is one less thing in my luggage. If so, does anyone know what kind they are? Also, just wanted to thank everyone again for the quick replies.

I believe I have seen kids with them before while in the pool, however I can't remember anyting else about them.

At the marina you will be given a swim vest. You have to show your room key. You are allowed to keep it during your stay. Just remember to return it or you will be charged full price for the swim vest.
