Denise,
I forgot to ask if I see a room is available on April 25th, does it matter what type it is or are you looking for a specific one?

MK view is what we have booked, but anything would work. It would be much easier to already be at the CR vs another resort.

Thanks Denise for sending me to this thread. Thanks for all the info and pictures. Looking forward to seeing updates on all posters visits.

So, my first question on the post -- the Sandybar by the pool. What do they serve?

Welcome!!:yay:

THESE PICTURES WERE COPIED FROM THE LAST CR THREAD. THEY ARE FROM laura001. IF YOU WANT MORE PICTURES, PLEASE PM HER. These are not Triplefigs pictures.

Thought I would share a few pics from our recent quickie trip to The Contemporary. We had a great time and loved the resort! :thumbsup2 We only saw one splashing of "poop" at the adult pool, other than that, it was clean. The worst problem was not the ducks, it was the very noisy crows!

I have other pics if anyone wants them, just PM me, I'll send them :)

We stayed in the Garden Wing, had a Garden Deluxe King.

I had the exact same room last year. Loved it! :goodvibes We booked the same room for our upcoming trip.

Hi, triplefigs...wishing you a happy and healthy trip, and I will be listening to hear those delighted kid noises in New York! Great idea to surprise them!

Everytime I read this thread I get so excited for our upcoming trip  We booked it a year out and now are down to only 70 Days until we pack up and hit the road :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: Triplefigs got me thinking we are driving straight through and will be there a day early and spending the night in Orlando any suggestions for a decent place to stay for one night off property? We are staying at the Contemporary but since we will be getting there so late I thought instead of spending all that extra money for just one night maybe stay somewhere off property to basically get a good nights rest until we hit Disney in the morning. Thanks for any help :)

Do anyone happen to know the computer situation at CR. I *thought* I read somewhere it was free access. (But I have been reading so much these days that maybe it is in my mind). Or is there a charge to use the internet in your room.

Also, if we happen to use the computer in the room (assuming internet access) has anyone been able to successfully load their pictures to a snapfish or costco. I am not bringing a laptop, but just wanted that extra insurance of having my pictures uploaded.

My second question is... Do people really decorate their doors or window in their room?

louey - We've done the same thing in the past and stayed over at the Marriott Village at either Counrtyard or Fairfield Inn for around $100 w/ AAA discount. Both are nice and clean and at Fairfiled Inn you'll get a continental breakfast that's pretty good. :goodvibes

Staying here in Jan. 2009...

Should I call reservations and tell them I will be celebrating a college graduation on this trip?

Can I see the water parade anywhere from the resort or is it from specific room views?

How long of a walk is it from the garden wing to the 4th floor where everything is? Are Garden Wing Garden View rooms pretty quiet? I am kind of a light sleeper.

I have been looking on expo tv and youtube and been looking for video reviews and can't seem to find any. Anyone know where I can find some?

Everytime my family and I have stayed at the Contemporary since they installed the computers in the rooms, internet access has been 100% free.

The only thing I can't answer is loading pictures because I forget how others did with that and because that is something we have not tried.

My suggestion would be to try a Hampton Inn. My family and I always stay in them when we drive to WDW along Interstate 75, plus they also have a continental breakfast each morning and they serve some great items during that time.

You can always have it noted on your reservation, however it does not mean they will do anything. So if you want it to be a celebration trip it's always best to make arrangements yourself.

You can see the water parade from the Magic Kingdom view rooms when it goes in 7 Seas Lagoon and the Bay Lake view rooms when it goes threw Bay Lake. I also think that there are some rooms where they can be seen in the South Garden Wing, however not sure which ones.

I have done the walk and it was no more then 5 minutes, however since my family and I have not stayed in the Garden Wing before I can't comment on how quiet it maybe. One thing I can say is you won't hear any noises from the 4th floor that you would if you stayed in the Tower.

On the Contemporary page from wdwinfo.com they recently did a Contemporary stay and posted a Youtube video from of the Resort, so here is the link to their page and if you just scroll down you will see the video. http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/Resorts/contemp.htm

The Sand bar menu looks great is that part of the dining plan? Thanks.
