joenan, thank you sooooooooooo muchHey..I may not be a veteran yet but I know better then to call a cast member who works at CRO!I got that information from the Contemporary! You can get the Mugs at The Tempo and fill them at The Tempo..They now have a fountain dispenser for soda!!!!
as well, as coffee and tea.
Denise (Mousesteps) just emailed me, and she has even more pictures for us including the Salon and Fitness Center. I will try to get them added to the first page today.Mousesteps has some pics up of the grand opening ceremony of the new Fantasia shop on the 4th floor of the Contemporary. congrats on your first trip! As far as pools, the GF has a quiet pool and the feature/lagoon pool with a waterfall, zero entry, slide, splash area for little one (pop jets) and the pool. It is very nice. The CR's pool also has a small quiet pool by the marina. The main pool has a spray feature and a great slide. It doesn't have a zero entry. It is a little more "plain", but it is a great pool too.Hi Guys! This is a great thread. I am about halfway through it. Thanks for sharing all your advice and photos!
I am planning on our first ever WDW trip. At first, we were going to stay at one of the epcot hotels (since the kids are older and I thought they would like to stay closer). Well, I had mutiny on my hands. They want to stay as close to the MK as possible, so that means at one of the monorail resorts. It looks like their favorites are GF and CR. Gosh, when did my kids get opinions? What is up with that?![]()
So, I guess I need to start narrowing it down.
One question is which pool is "better"? The CR or the GF?
The photos of the CR remind me of the "W" hotels. Is that an accurate assesment?
Thanks so much!

Great minds think alike! I asked her to double check it for us already! That's great! You and CR Fan should be commended on the excellent job you've done on starting this new thread!![]()
Maybe we can ask Denise to take some pics of the Tempo Grab & Go on her next visit to the CR? I'm interested to know if they really are selling refillable mugs as has been reported.

I have a teenager and they fell in love with the new decor along with the flat screen tv and computer.
Besides the differences others have told you about the Contemporary and Grand Floridian, here is another thing to think about. With the Contemporary you have the walkway to and from the Magic Kingdom and the Contemporary is the next stop on the Resort Monorail if you choose not use the walkway. Now even though the Magic Kingdom is the next stop on the Monorail when leaving the Grand Floridian, when taking the Monorail back there you need to go threw the Contemporary, TTC and the Polynesian before arriving. They also have a boat which does directly to there from the Magic Kingdom but I say the Monorail is faster no matter what, because it will come a lot faster if you were to just miss the boat.Hi Guys! This is a great thread.
