The NEW Disney's Contemporary Resort FAQ with PICTURES! (Feb 2008)

Thanks BlueSkies. Our DS has talked about staying at the CR for about 5 years now. So we figured since he will be 14 then he would appreciate it more. Just as long as we are able to sit on our balcony and watch Wishes is good for us. Looking forward to booking the reservation now.

Having 2 teenage DSs I can tell you your DS will love the CR...the gameroom ( old one was much bigger Kids still like this one ) the whole resort...Although we stay mostly at the GF now (sorry CR fans ) We still love the CR and do stay there on occasion...I think the new rooms are beautiful and DSs were sooo happy about the computer in the room!!! And the view cant be beat...It will be a great trip

We mostly stay at the GF as well. I am not too much of a CR fan (don't shoot me) but our DS is. However, I am getting very excited about staying there so my mind might be changing soon. My DH and DS will love the game room. They normally do that together. I know we are going to have a great time. Now, all I have to do is wait to book the reservation. Do I need to book the room only first this way I am guaranteed the MK view or is it okay to wait and book the package? We will be doing a split stay, first is the CR for two nights and then the YC for 8.

CoachBagFanatic If you want to book MK view I think I would do that ASAP I think that is the most popular category to book....

Funny we are going to do a split stay for the first time next trip...not sure about the BC or YC...it will be ??/GF...I have been reading the BC/YC thread lots of good info... 10 nights is a nice long trip Beware though once you settle in at th CR it will be hard to leave...that MK view wil spoil you...

My boys have been begging to stay at the CR for years, so we are finally doing it next month. I admit I'm nervous, I never get a good feeling from the lobby, but I guess we'll just have to see.

The view of the water pageant is fantastic from your balcony with a bay view. The parade usually goes right by at around 10:00 PM.

We finally stayed at the CR as part of a 4 resort stay in May. Let me tell you, it wound up being our favorite and the one we want to go back to. The transportation can't be beat. The views amazing. We stayed bay lake and just hearing the boats in the morning and the ELP at night was fantastic! Also the CR has the quietest rooms of the whole resort. You couldn't hear a thing from above, below, next door or even in from the hallway. We can't wait to go back.

thanks for the quick response! my husband figured we could do the fireworks from our balcony as we missed them last trip (too late for the small kids), so I guess any MK view room is great

You're welcome and yes any Magic Kingdom View room is going to be great.

I am not too keen on a split stay as we did this once before but it's for our DS, so I will. We have stayed at the YC in June 2007 and had a fabulous time. I am going to miss my GF that trip.

My family just got back last week from a short stay at CR. We were on the 14th floor and what a beautiful view. We had stayed MK view before, but being that high, you didn't hear a lot of the traffic you hear when you are lower. We were in 4915 with two queen beds and wht looked like a HCA shower which was so nice. The bath itself was very big. The staff was great and we had a few problems arise and they were so wonderful with helping us take care of them. Odila and Tony were exceptional!! I think it is definetely worth the extra dollars to stay concierge. If any one has any questions about the construction or anything, just ask. We just loved it there!!

They staff were great and we had a few problems arise and they were so wonderful with helping us take care of them. Odila and Tony were exceptional!! I think it is definetely worth the extra dollars to stay concierge. If any one has any questions about the construction or anything, just ask. We just loved it there!!

Thanks for your quick review and I agree that Odila is great. Last month when we stayed at on the 12th floor we saw her a few times and she happens remembers us from our previous stays up there, so it was great seeing her and talking with her.

This origanally was suppose to be a "no kids" weekend but we had to go get my daughter after the first night. We when we brought her back, Odila had balloons and a chocolate puzzle with the castle on it, waiting for Kayla in our room. Then she cancelled all of our previous ressie's and then without asking, just made a ressie at CM that night for us because that is Kayla's favorite place to eat. She really went above and beyond for my family. Because of her, we are going back on Nov. 30th for a few days because I know she will take good care of us!!

The staff on the CL are amazing. Tony was incredible this trip as was Carlos. Everyone there just goes out of their way to make sure you have a perfect, stress free experience. Bethany, Al, Odila just everyone there never ceases to amaze me. They are the reason why year after year we never even consider staying at another resort.

When I saw her I mentioned how last December we stayed Club Level at the Polynesian and even though we enjoyed it there, I told her when I went to visit the Contemporary I ended up missing staying there and she told me because the Contemporary is our home.
