Question for CR club level experts:

We are staying Atrium Club level July 3-6--my birthday trip! I requested MK view and told the CM we were checking in on my B day. However, no where on the confirmation does it state MK view. The confirmation says "standard room Atrium Club level". Should I be worried that I won't get a MK view? I would think that it would state MK view somewhere on the confirmation.

Any thoughts??

Thankx

I had this problem myself..I choose to just book a MK view room to guarantee the view..because Atrium level does NOT guarantee a MK view. So when I check in I will see if they have a Concierge level room with a MK view and if they do I will pay for the upgrade upon check-in...you put a request in but that does not mean you will get it..

In the Atrium Club room views are by request only, so it is just the luck of the draw whether you get the MK view or the Bay Lake view. If the view is the MOST important thing to you, then you might be better of booking a Theme Park view room in the Tower instead of booking concierge level. We stayed on the Atrium Club in Sept 2006 and lucked out with the MK view. For our trip in April, we are skipping concierge and just went with the guaranteed view as that is what we really want. HTH!

Every time my family and I have stayed on the Atrium Club floor we have been lucky enough to get the Magic Kingdom view and got it without requesting it when making the reservations. However for our upcoming stays there this August and December if we got the Bay Lake view it won't be so bad, because we can still see the Magic Kingdom from the lounge.

Thankx CR Resort Fan, triplefigs and joenan88 for the replies.
Not sure what I'll do. The view is really important but I'm looking forward to treating myself to club level also. The CM that made the reservation said that she could "guarantee" the view because it will be my birthday trip--I know how that goes.

Thanks for this great thread.

We're thinking of staying at the CR before our cruise in September. It'll be dd 14, ds 10, dd 4 and ds 4 with me. We stayed at CR back in 2002 in the north garden wing. The big kids loved it, and have been begging to go back since. Hoping for a good rate.
Any idea of how much of a discount you can get with AP rates in September?

If you do decide to try the Atrium Club and end up with the Bay Lake view try to remember this. Yes you may not be able to look at the Magic Kingdom anytime you want from your room, however like I said before you can look at it anytime from the lounge. I realize it's the same thing, however it's better then not having the view at all.

We are 29 days away, I'm so excited!

I have a grocery question.

We will be arriving at CR around 11pm. Tempo Grab n Go will be closed, is there any place else open that late at CR that sells milk? We are staying in the wing and I really don't want to have to walk back to the tower just for milk the next morning.

The Tempo Grab & Go is open until 11:00 PM. Besides them the only other place in the Contemporary that would sell milk is the Sundries store, however they also close at 11:00 PM.

Thanks for your fast response! We are using a towncar service so I guess I should just plan on a grocery stop.

Be sure to call the Towncar service and schedule a grocery trip in advance.....last year we decided (last minute) to ask the driver when he picked us up and unfortunately he didn't have enough time that day...I don't know what we were thinking...must've been in a DISNEY cloud - heehee!! LOL :thumbsup2

Have a magical time!!!

OK - DH said now he wants to be on the monorail. Best rate fo us woulde be the CR Garden Wing.

Could someone either PM me or post information about the Garden Rooms in the Wings at the CR ?

Thank you so much !

I just want to double check (and triple, and quadruple...) about the computers at the CR. We are staying in the Garden Wing in April.

Our room will have a computer, right?

We can access our e-mail (web based) and other "non offensive" sites, right?

Will I be able to upload my photos each day from my digital camera to a Jazz drive that I'll bring with me? (I'll bring the necessary USB cords)

I thought I saw pictures of the USB ports in the old CR thread, but I didn't feel like reading through all the pages and the "Search" feature doesn't always work for me.

Thanks! I am in awe of the knowledge this board has provided me! What am I going to do after our trip is over?!?!

Yes your room will have a computer, yes you can access your e-mail and non offensive sites. However even though there is nothing wrong with them Youtube and Wikipedia had filters on them for whatever reason. So just a warning if you go to a site that it could be blocked, even though you know there is nothing bad about it. Finally I think you can upload photos on the USB ports however I am not 100% sure about that, so hopefully someone can confirm it.

Yes, you can upload. The picture of the USB is listed in the 1st post. Also, you can connect your own laptop to the internet port and then no sites are blocked.
