I'd love to check out AKL and maybe eat at Boma's when we stay at CSR in April '05. How tough is it to get from CSR to there without a car? They're so close geographically, but I'm worried we'd have to go to TTC or something, which is more trouble than its worth. Anybody know any shortcuts? Maybe to AK first?
:moped:

Either you can take a cab or go to AK and switch to a AKL bus. Even Blizzard Beach is a possibility depending on the time you need to get to AKL

Wow I'm surprised. You would think that they would have some type of entertainment in the lounges for the convention crowds.

When I was there there was a big convention going on and they had there own entertainment for the people in the hall, as big as the convention was we didn't notice it being crowed at all either.

We are making a quick 2 night stop at WDW before our DCL Cruise. The plan is to take the 3 nephews to MK for a day. Any feedback about the transportation from CSR to MK? Dad would like to stay at WL (where their parents were married), but the prices can't be justified for this trip. The boys will be 4,4 & 1....will the dig site be good for them?

TIA!

Transportation is great from CSR to MK. It is about a 10-12 minute ride.

Theme park buses go:
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas
1 - El Centro

Downtown Disney buses, as well as Park Exit buses go:
1 - El Centro
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas

CSR buses go in this order so that guests can hop on board a theme park bus and take it to the main building. They can then hop on a DTD bus to get back to their rooms.

I love this thread, so much information.

Me, DH, DS4 and DS2 are going to POR in August for 6 nights. We are thinking of splitting the stay 3 nights at POR and 3 nights at CSR since we'd love to try both.

My question is this. Once we check out of POR, is their a quick way to go over to CSR? And do we have to take our bags or does a CM ship them over? TIA.

Does anyone know which section the King Bed Rooms are located and if they are all water views. I would really like a king room, since I am travelling on my own, but also want a water view in the Casistas.

I am thinking of making my second visit to this great resort. Last time I had a first floor room, overlooking the lake in Casistas 3. I could not have asked for a better roome location.

One question I forgot to ask is what is the construction over in the Casitas area? Are they adding suites there? We'd noticed it when we were there, and were wondering..... (They were adding 'up', not 'out')
Kim

King beds are offered in every section.

The construction at CSR is to add onto the convention center. They are not adding rooms.

Buzz & dcg0317-
Thanks for the info! I think we will book CSR....just waiting for a quote from our TA to see if it beats Disney. It was kind of a toss up between ASM or CSR, until I took a look at Buzz's website. We have never stayed at a moderate, so I didn't imagine it competed with the deluxe so well.

Sleuth-

I would take the bus to either Epcot or MGM & transfer to CSR from there. I would call bell services at POR the night before & arrange a pickup time & let them know you want your luggage sent to your new resort. We split our stay last April between POFQ & CSR & everything went smoothly. The only bad thing is we went to CSR first & ended up being somewhat disappointed at POFQ. Not that we didn't like it there---but we loved it at CSR!!! We will be there again this April!

Actually Buzz, we saw the convention center addons as well. The area I'm talking about, though was on top if existing Casitas buildings. About half way down the Casitas area. It wasn't part of the convention center construction.
Kim

Maybe they are working on the rooftops?? I haven't heard anything about additions at CSR but then again, that doesn't mean it can't happen.

Hi there,
I'm pretty certain that someone will have already asked this question, and had it answered but, here goes :D
Are there fridges in the rooms?
DD is only able to drink Lactose reduced milk and loves one first thing in a morning and last thing at night
Are there fridges in the rooms or will I have to dash off to Publix every day to top up? :cool1:
Thanks.

I've read that they are in the process in putting refrigerators in ALL rooms (some already have them). If you request one they will have one for you and not charge you. Also, Disney should reconsider having Lactose milk in stock - I've read on this board how people need this milk and my girlfriend (whose family traveled with us last summer) was pregnant and was craving cereal (trix) - they had cereal but no lactose milk (or at least not at Pop Century)! I had to hear about this our whole stay onsite - we stayed off site for a week so we finally got her some lactose milk!
