The *NEW* Coronado Springs FAQ Thread

Whooo hoo! I just booked CSR for the 2 nights before our DCL cruise. We hired Happy Limo to take us to the port. I was looking at the map of the resort and wondering if it was possible for the limo to drive around the resort and pick us up closer to our room? I like the rancheros, but looks like quite a hike to be hauling our luggage, 3 boys and their grandparents.

DH is going to CS the end of June for a very large convention (WARNING FELLOW DISers!!!) I am not a big fan of Florida in the summer. I find the temperature and humidity unbearable. So I have to decide whether to go with him or not. Anybody have recommendations on where to stay there. We just got back from Disney and I did check out Coronado. I thought that the first couple cabanas or perhaps the closest casitas would be good choices for us if we attend. I am more concerned about being close to the buses and restaurants than I am the the convention center. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks. :D

Our family is booked in 3 rooms this coming April. The thread was fabulous. I am saying hi to all of you. I read every page. Took me several sittings. Thanks to all.

Have a great trip! Check out my CSR website for pics, links and plenty of info.

Is it correct that non of the CS restaurants participate in the Dining Plan? I was just looking at the list on the allears.net website and was surprised that none were listed.

hi all changed my stay from the Poly to CSR for 7 nites in July need to know if the dig site pool is zero-depth entry have two small children 4 and 2yrs.

No it is not zero deth entry, not sure what the depth is at the low end, think the deepest is about 5 ft. Go over to Buzz2001 or Epcotfan site it might say how deep it is at it's lowest point. I do remember useing a ladder to enter the pool.

The pool is 4ft deep but has a 5ft deep area by the bar side of the pool. The pool has steps along the side by the temple that kids like to play on and a kiddle pool. Pictures are available on my website below

Walking Distances
From El Centro moving clockwise around the lake path to:
Casitas 3 = .16 miles
Casitas 4 = .24 miles
Casitas 5 = .27 miles
Ranchos = .46 miles

From El Centro to the Dig Site, via the bridge near the Cabanas
= .35 miles

From El Centro moving counterclockwise around the lake to:
Cabanas 9B = .16 miles
Cabanas 9A/8B = .22 miles
Cabanas 8A = .31 miles

OR

Take the bus instead of walking
Theme park buses go:
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas
1 - El Centro

Downtown Disney buses, as well as Park Exit buses go:
1 - El Centro
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas

CSR buses go in this order so that guests can hop on board a theme park bus and take it to the main building. They can then hop on a DTD bus to get back to their rooms.

After reading bits and pieces of this thread (wow, a ton of info) I think we would be VERY happy at CSR. I know my son will love the dig site. My question is which section to stay in. I understand that the 3 sections have different theming. Are the rooms in each section different in layout and decoration? Is there somewhere to see pictures of the rooms in each section. I don't really care about distance from this or that as we would be there for atleast 5 days. I want the "feel" of the room/section to fit us. If there are pics on the thread, I missed them. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks so much!

Hi there,
This might seem a silly question but are there ice stations available within the hotel?
Just thinking of keeping DD's milk cold (lactose free) in a cooler box. :flower:
Thanks
