Buzz & Dizzybell - I am right behind both of you. :hyper: We have an 8am flight on Saturday morning. We'll land in Orlando around 5pm & look forward to dinner at PM. :teeth:

Have a great time you guys! I wish I was going back already!! Can't wait to read your reports when you get back!!!

My husband and I have reservations at CSR for October 14-17. Right now I have reserved a Water view room. My question is should I change to a standard view and ask about an upgrade when we get there? The water view would be nice, but not totally necessary. We are going for my husband's 50th birthday and I plan on metioning it every chance I get.

Plus, how do I get that counter to show up?

The mods don't have patios or balconies so you can't see much from your room. There are walkways in front of the windows and it is hard to have an unobstructed view of the water. I would switch to standard and hope for a water view.

cranneberry - I agree with epcot fan. We just got back from CSR and we had a "standard" view. Although, technically our room overlooked the gardens (if looking straight ahead), we only had to turn our heads slightly to get a great view of the lake from the 4th floor. However, we had a standard view in December, and had a 1st floor view of the parking lot, so it is hit & miss.

Just got back from my honeymoon...and first time to CSR! Great weather and it was beautiful...

Some recommendations...if you plan to eat in Epcot at nighttime, call the front desk and make reservations. We found out quickly that if you don't, you won't get dinner until 9:00 or later. We ate in Mexico, Germany, Italy (fantastic!), and Japan (great!)...and France for dessert. Yum!

The only thing I was unahppy about at CSR...was the view with my room. We paid for water view...and we had the view of a nice palm tree. It's not like I would have just left my windows open...otherwise, Casitas 5 was great! :)

And if you are a drinker, like my husband...He discovered that alcohol is cheaper if you buy it at Panchito's...instead of Tienda..For some reason, bottles were $2.50 at Panchito's and $4.50 at La Tienda...and it's only a couple stores down! :) Save some money! :)

Glad you like CSR. Unless you stay at a resort with a balcony, waterview is not worth the extra money.

Just back from a recent trip where we used A Baby's Best Friend to rent a frige. We rented a frige for our 8 day stay. $54.00 for the 8 days! They delivered it to CSR and left it in the luggage area. It is tag with your name and comes on a small hand cart. When you check in, just tell bell services that you have a frige and they will deliver it to your room along with you luggage. It is well packed. When you trip is done, just return it to the same spot. The frige worked great. We were able to freeze water bottles over night for our trips to the parks. That was great since the heat was a killer. They have other stuff as well.

I was wondering Buzz, if you are going to make a report of your recent stay at CSR, I've been looking and waiting for it, we will be staying at CSR over Christmas and New Years. When you get the time, I and hopefully everyone else would like to hear about it, where you ate and what you did, etc, etc. Just a thought. thanks Blue

I did post a separate thread. We had a great time! It was our first time staying in the ranchos section. We stayed in rancho 6b. It was a great location. We were on the back side of the building in room 6556. It was right across from the quiet pool, laundry and we had a short walk to bus stop #3 and the Dig Site. We had about a 7 minute walk to the main building. We got picked up a few times by the CM's driving the carts.

The only problem was that this was our first trip to FL in the summer and boy was it HOT!

We had 3 or 4 great meals at the Pepper Market. Ribeye and the we burrito were very good.

The Dig Site was never overly crowded as expected. We were able to get a table even when we got there in the afternoon.

Housekeeping and the CM's at CSR was great.

Everything was excellent!

Hello I have been wondering about CSR... I hope you can give me some info.

Going in Sept 11-15 after our cruise, would this be a good place for DS3? Or is it a place for adults... more or less? Im looking for a cool place to have fun in the water, sand, parks, etc. I was looking at WL since they had some Sept. specials. But I know there are specials for this resort as well.

If I decide on CSR what area/section would do you recommend? Im not sure where the kid's section are, as well as the pools.

This is going to be my first stay at CSR and I'm really excited (we're going to be there 2nd week of December) :bounce: I've today received a letter from my UK travel agent saying that Disney have notified them that they are going to commence renovations to the outsides of the Ranchos and Cabanas and they will do their utmost to ensure people are not put near to the areas being renovated. Do you think this is anything to worry about?

I would guess that you wouldn't have serious problems with the renovations based on the following assumptions: they will probably work only during the day, and you will likely be somewhere else during most of the day! :)

Last Oct I believe they were working on some buildings next to ours and we didn't notice a thing. But I believe they were working on the interior, so that may have made a difference.

Have fun. We loved it. The Dig Site is great and the theming of the resort gave me a feeling of relaxation, even though I knew I HAD TO CATCH THE BUS!

Hhhmmm... I have requested a room in the cabanas section, I wonder if the rennovations will affect what room we get.

We left CSR on 07/02/04 and they were on cabana 8a. If they are heading towards the ranchos, the cabanas are done. All they were doing was painting anyway. Nothing loud.

Thinking of staying at CS have DH, DD19, DS17 & myself in January 2005. I heard the CS does not allow a rollaway. Does anyone have any info or suggestions?
