I am honeymooning in CSR and am arriving in 9 days :)....My FI saw the pictures of the room decor and made a comment about how he didn't like how "bright" it was....I'm not sure which section the picture is of....

Which section has the most appealing decor?...We will have a waterview room. I really want to make him happy and have a great view...Thanks a bunch! Are there any websites with pictures of the rooms?

Tink, did you have to pay extra for the "birthday touch" for your parents? My parents are accompanying me in October to CSR, and we're going over my mom's birthday weekend. I'd be willing to pay any amount to have such a wonderful reception!

Hey all...my first time posting, but I love reading all the tidbits on this site!

We have ressies for CS for Sept 27-Oct 4. My sister is a nurse and the neonatal nurses convention just happens to be at CS this year, so originally it was my sister, mom, myself and my little boy (will be 20 months when we go), staying in one room. Well, we started to get worried about DS having naps or sleeping at night with all of us in the room with him (started having nightmares about the 3 of us standing outside in the hallway with the mosquitos while DS fell asleep!), so we looked into getting a second room. Well now it turns out my hubby and my father have decided to come too, so I called to book a second package on the 5+2 and they were SOLD OUT!! Luckily I had a great CM at CRO who tried everything to get it, but in the end told me to keep calling back every day for the next 11 days until the promo is over and maybe there might be a cancellation, and to call early in the am as they put the room inventory back into the computer at night. Well, lucky us, I called first thing the next day and sure enough, there was a cancellation and they altered our second reservation to the 5+2!!

Anyways, on to my question....they have linked our 2 reservations together, and have put down that we would like interconnecting rooms, Cabanas 9B and non-smoking (also the crib and the fridge in the original res). We paid to have water-view rooms. I'm wondering what are the odds of getting this? We've never stayed at CS, so I don't know if they even have interconnecting rooms in 9B. It is important for us to be as close together as possible, so we can put DS to bed and all pile in the other room to chat, watch TV etc, so he can go to sleep in peace (I'm bringing the baby monitor to listen in on him). I guess it wouldn't be too bad if the rooms are a few away from eachother, but definitely not across the resort from eachother!!

My dad would also like to REALLY know how far we are from the pool (Dig site and quiet pool) as they are only used to CBR (Jamaica and Aruba) and having the pool almost outside their door!

And my sister would like to know if anyone has attended a conference here, and how the food is for conference attendees?

Am I missing anything else? Any tips for travelling with a little one? This is his first trip longer that about 3 hours (we're flying from Buffalo), and he's an angel as far as sleeping in his own room but isn't used to sleeping in his stroller (we're trying to mall train him for that...not working so good...). Thank god the cribs are the pack n' play playpens which he is used to sleeping in at my moms!

Thanks for all the tips and advice!!

9b is pretty much all watervew beacuse of the small lake in the back of the building and Lago Dorado in the front so if you get 9b you should have a wateview room.

You are just a short walk to Dig Site from 9b over the wooden bridge and the quiet pool is located next door at cabana 9a.

Hi Tracey

Welcome to the DIS! This is a great source of information! We will be staying at CSR for the first time in August, so I really can help you with your questions. I was wondering when you are planning to go though, since you said CSR was "sold out".

I should have been more specific...they were sold out for the 5+2 package...still have rooms left, but not at the discounted rate. I was lucky when I called back though that they had a cancellation for the promotional rate and we could change our second ressie to that deal...saved us over $400 US (which is about $560 CDN)!!

I'll look forward to reading your trip report when you get back!!!

Hi again!!

I already have the 7/5 deal, but my plans might change and I may need 2 rooms, that is why I was asking WHEN you were planning to go.

sorry, should have read a little closer...night shift...a little off. We're going 09/27-10/04. Sounds like you have a similar problem, adding a room after the fact. The deal is only on until June 28, so if you're going to add the room at the deal price, you need to do it soon. When I called, they could only give me the room at the regular rate, no matter how they tried to trick the computer. Their advice was to call back everyday and see if they could modify the ressie to the 5+2, and to call early (between 7am and 8am EST) as inventory is put back into the computers at night (holds and cancellations from previous day).

Let me tell you, I sure did a little happy dance when I called back and got the 5+2 on the second room!!

Hi Tracey

Ok, thanks for the info... I forgot that you have to book the 7/5 deal by 6/28. Hhmmm.... I wonder if I can modify my ressie after that date.

Hi Everyone!

I am sure this question is answered somewhere here, but I am now in panic mode since we leave in 4 days & the search is down.

What time do the busses run for the EMH days? Specifically to MK?

Thanks in advance!!!!

I'm pretty sure buses start running around 7:00am for character breakfasts (MK included).

Hey Cindy... have a great trip! Give us a full report when you return.

Buzz - Thanks for the reply. Do they run pretty regular after that? Or is there a big lag between then & when the buses run for the "regular" opening time?

Mercy - Thanks! I look forward to giving a complete report. :sunny:

When they start, they are running pretty regular from then on but if you want to make absolutely sure, go to the transportation board and ask the same question of Chip 'n Dale Express. He's a bus driver at WDW.

I am looking for a fax number for special requests...I am honeymooning there and will arrive this Sunday....:) Anyone have an idea of how to mention our special occasion without sounding pushy? :)

Hi Dannie! Welcome to the boards! The fax number for CSR is (407) 939-1001. However, if your requests are already on your reservation, it should be just as good as a fax. If not, then go ahead and fax them. If you do fax them, keep it short & to the point. The CMs have a lot faxes to go through & they should not have to wade through a lot of flowery talk when a short, polite request will work much better. Have a wonderful honeymoon!!

Well... I just got up a few minutes ago. DS#1 came into bedroom to say goodbye on his way to work.... he will not be joining us this trip. DH, DS#2 and myself will be heading to CSR once again. DS#2 .... this will be his third time this year to CSR. He was there in August... then November and again today. He will be flying down with friends in August again this year but was unable to get CSR so he will be staying in PO. Pepper Market here we come! Looking forward to our breakfast and friendly welcome. Walking past our fountain on our way out the door every morning for a day filled with "magic". For over thirty years we have been coming to Disney each year and every time we go it is like our first time. A time when Space Mountain didn't even exist! Our boys didn't exist and we were two young people living an adventure to a land filled with dreams. Thank you Mr. Disney for all the joy you have given us over the years::yes::

See you in the parks!

Pray we all have a safe and healthy vacation and we pray for you all!
