I am thinking of requesting casita 1 or 3 for our stay which one will have the best view of the lake? Also how far is casita 5 from the dig?

Casita 5 is about .20 miles

Casita 3 would have better views if you are on the lake side.

Check out the map on my website below

I was thinking of requesting Cabanas for the convenience of being near the dig site, where I am sure my boys would spend much of their time. However, with bus stop 1 being last for the theme park buses, might that be a problem? Won't they fill up before getting all the way around the resort?

Would Casitas 5 be a better choice because it's closer to bus stop 2?

Or am I making a big deal out of nothing? lol (I've been known to do that on occasion.)

I never had an issue with park buses from bus stop #1. Never have I had to stand going to a park. Only returning from DtD and Fantasmic! But I've never been to WDW during June, July and August.

We would be going the first week of June. I've never been then, so not sure how crowded it will be either.

One More Time!!!

We were suppose to stay at CSR in December, but due to some air conditioning problems, we got moved to YC after only 24 hours. Well, DH has to be in Orlando on business this June & he decided to take the whole family. :hyper: I never dreamed we'd be back at WDW again so soon. Anyway, we'll be trying CSR again!! I am really looking forward to it!!

tanner - I'd say that Casitas 1 or 3 would be great for lakeview, I've stayed at both and both were excellent :) Have a great time whichever you choose.

motaei - that's great that you get to go back!! If you have any questions just ask!

I'm so pumped!! :) Because im headed off to CSR in 53 days woohoo! I'm booked under standard view right now but I'm hoping i'll be able to get upgraded to waterview. A piece of advice, just ask, it never hurts to do it and you never know when you could get bumped up to waterview. I'll be staying in the casitas and I'll write up a full trip report as well as a dining and a resort report :)

Well, we are gearing up! We head out in two days!! I can't believe it's here! It's been a long cold winter here in the Hudson Valley Region of New York and I can't wait to be kissed by the Florida sun:sunny: :sunny:

It is our first time at CSR so if you have any really last minute tips, tricks or hints please pass them on...
We requested Casitas because they loooked so lovely::yes:: hoping we chose well!

Thanks Tink! I don't think I will have too many this time around. I asked them all before December. :p When we were bumped to YC, I was so lost, as I knew NOTHING about the resort. I am so ready for CSR. :bounce:

I love CSR great resort i first stayed there in 2002 and we will be staying there for are October trip. My husband would rather stay at CSR than AKL he loves the pool at CSR. This will be his 3rd trip since he met me and we will probably go every year. I love WDW Last year on are Honeymoon we tried ASM because we went To Universal RPR also. We went for two weeks and he said never again. He just Loves CSR. KElly

I was wanting to know if there is a charge to use the fitness club to lift weights and such. I was told by Disney when I made my reservation that is was complimentary. I haven't seen that on any of the sights though.
Thanks:wave2:

Has anyone been to CSR in Sept?? We are going 8-15th. How busy was it? We stayed at AKL lasy year during this time and it was very empty. I was wondering ..because if it is empty...I thought we may have a better chance of getting our room request.

Also.... we have it noted on our reservation...that we would like to stay in cabanas 9b. How far is the quiet pool from this location?

Thanks in advance.

Just booked 2 nights at the end of June, got a great, IMO, AP rate. Does anyone know which buildings, particulary in the Ranchos section are non smoking. I don't want to get stuck requesting a smoking building.

dansyr: We stayed last year at CSR Sept 19th. We loved the resort! We also requested building 9B for 2 rooms. I faxed the request 4 days prior and mentioned it again at check-in. We were lucky and got just what we wanted. It was a perfect location, not too far from anything. Have a great trip!

Do all three sections have a quiet pool? How deep are these pools? Thanks!:wave2:

Yes, all 3 sections have a quiet pool

casita 4
rancho 7b
cabana 9a

I think they are 3 feet deep in one end and 5 in the other

Loved the resort....we were in room 8142, Cabanas 8A. We were steps from the Dig Site and had a wonderful view of the lagoon surrounding the cabanas. We boarded buses at stop 4 and the buses were never crowded, except for our trip back from Magic Kingdom. We only had one disapointment....we thought the lake would be bigger! The way everyone talked on here and other boards we thought it would be huge! My boys (14 & 10)wanted to rent a mouseboat and decided they wouldn't be able to drive too fast, so we chose to go over to WL and use the ones there so they could open it up on Bay Lake! By the way, CSR doesn't have the new Sea Racyers yet ...they still have the old mouseboats. They did have the Sea Racyers at WL and the boys said they went alot faster than the mouseboats! Really have no complaints about the resort. It was very nice and the CM's were very helpful and friendly. Had a great CM at the Pepper Market. The boys loved the variety of food you could get there.

My family spent 13 days here in early December. We had a great time as the parks were not too full. I will try another resort on my next stay. In my opinion the food at the food court was just okay and the grounds are nice. The room was okay but the service wasn't great.[we tipped housekeeping $5 per day] They did a quick straightening but the kids got no surprises with any towel animals or arranging of their Disney toys. We stayed in Cabanas 9B so we had a short walk to the pool, El Centro and the bus. My 8 and 9 year olds definitely loved the pool and the slide. I would not choose this hotel again just for the pool. I'm looking forward to my next trip and trying a different resort. Our trip before this was in 2000 at POFQ. I would like to stay there again or try something new. Any suggestions?
