Hi Everyone,

Has anyone ever recieved a comp upgrade to a suite at check in?

I Love this Thread! Leaving in April for our 1st visit to CSR and just want to have all the details.

We usually stay at YC Concierge, so this is a bit different.............with a son in college - we have to cut back.......

I've been having an issue with the links on my website. Click on the link that you want and a window will open. Leave that window open and then click on the same link again and they work fine.

I am staying at CSR in May and want to find out how early the bus starts running. We have 2 breakfast priority seatings set up for 8:00. One is at AK and the other at GF. Will I be able to get there on time?

Yes, you should be able to. I had two 8 AM PS's for Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace and I was there on time both times. I belive the busses begin running around 7:15, but I'm not sure. You might want to call the front desk and ask.

Buses start running about 7:00am. CSR usually has a CM at the bus stops in the early morning to ask where you are going. Not sure if this practice is still in effect but it helps speed up your trip.

Its tough to compare deluxe resorts to moderates. So as long as you have an open mind, you should be all set. CSR is a large resort and you could have long walks depending on what section you are placed in.

This may help.

Walking Distances
From El Centro moving clockwise around the lake path to:
Casitas 3 = .16 miles
Casitas 4 = .24 miles
Casitas 5 = .27 miles
Ranchos = .46 miles

From El Centro to the Dig Site, via the bridge near the Cabanas
= .35 miles

From El Centro moving counterclockwise around the lake to:
Cabanas 9B = .16 miles
Cabanas 9A/8B = .22 miles
Cabanas 8A = .31 miles

OR

Take the bus instead of walking
Theme park buses go:
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas
1 - El Centro

Downtown Disney buses, as well as Park Exit buses go:
1 - El Centro
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas

CSR buses go in this order so that guests can hop on board a theme park bus and take it to the main building. They can then hop on a DTD bus to get back to their rooms.

Which complex do you suggest is the best to stay?

Our family loves the cabana section. It depends on what you family is looking for...

cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site over the wooden bridge

cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building.

cabana 8b and 9a are inbetween the 2 above.

ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

The casitas are close to the gym, spa and have great fountains and courtyards. casita 5 is close to the Dig Site with a good walk to the main building. The lower the casita number the closer towards the main building.

I've stayed there twice and I love it, but you're nuts about it, so you must have stayed there... 1000 times!!?!

Not as many as I would like. 7 times with the 8th coming in June.

Tried FW, Cont but I always compare them to CSR and they can't.

What prompted me to create the website was these boards. When I first stumbled upon this site, CSR was always getting bashed. I had just returned from my first WDW trip in 1998. CSR has just opened a few months earlier. For the life of me I couldn't understand why CSR was gettign a bad rap. Steve H was another CSR lover who had the first CSR website. His site helped me fall in love with the resort. Steve became a moderator and then disappeared. So I took over and created a CSR site to show everyone it is truely a beautiful resort and help others fall in love with it the way I did.

When does Pepper Market close.

After we arrive and check-in it will be around 9:30, will they still be open??

Hi,

I just booked CSR for 9/30 - 10/7 - Visa 7 for 4 deal. What a deal!

I have a couple of questions. We are planning on buying some meal vouchers and would like to use them at the Pepper Market.

What items would we be able to get ? I see some items, like steak and baked potato run about $16.00. Would something like that be available using a voucher ? If so, that will be quite a savings after adding in dessert and bev. And what about the various the mexican meals ? They look like a good bargain as well.

Also we have 2 DD's that usually dont eat too much. Is splitting meals allowed here? If so is there anything we should do or say as far as the cards they give you when you enter? Should we tell the CM they will be splitting our meals, etc.

You may want to try and post this on the restaurant board. I've never used them but have read about people using them on that board.

I am thinking of requesting casita 1 or 3 for our stay which one will have the best view of the lake? Also how far is casita 5 from the dig?

The walk from Casita 5 to the Dig Site is about a casual 5 minute walk.
