Buzz- thank you so much for your website and maintaining this wonderful thread.... I just read the WHOLE thing! My kids are wondering what the heck Mommy has been doing all morning! :rolleyes1 Thanks!

1. Fell in love with your pics of the Christmas decorations...just lovely. Do you know when they put them up? Our last day is 11/12 which is the 1st night for the Christmas party. Since the parks will be decorated, I'm sure hoping they are up! They begin to go up around that time to be done by Thanksgiving. You may get lucky!

2. I had to take a waterview based on availability, but my parents got a standard b/c they are staying 1 day LONGER... which was crazy b/c my dates were included in their vacation, but it is fine. Here's my question... we asked for connecting rooms....will this be at all possible due to the waterview? Yes it's possible but not guaranteed. I've gotten standard before and received a free upgrade to waterview. Plus Disney includes quiet pools and fountains (or any body of water) in waterview.

3. Read that the slide is for solo riders only. My daughter will be a month shy of 3 in Nov and is tiny. I'm sure she would LOVE to use it... will she have to go alone? I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that but would love to have her on my lap. Is that policy even for the little, little ones? My wife would take little ones down and the life guard will say that you can not. But at least your DD could get the first time under her belt with you. They have life vests available and you can stand at the bottom. It is around 3ft.

Here are some pix of the towel animals that our Mousekeeper Jessica left us last week at CSR. They were really fun! I especially liked the toothbrush holder.

And here is one that was left especially for DH!!! Jessica had seen him a couple days when he'd go back to the room between conference sessions. ;)

This was one of our first ones but it got messed up when we moved it, so she fixed it the next day! ;)

I hope everyone gets some nice towel animals on their trips too! :cloud9:

Aww... the towel animals are so cute! And the one for your husband is so funny..I sure hope they make us towel animals like they did every day at CBR. We always look forward to them when we get back to the room.

Wow, Amy! Very elaborate designs! How lovely!
We got so many because we had two rooms. At least one animal per room almost every day.
We left a "mousekeeping" tip envelope in each room each day. I'm not sure if this is why we got the animals or they just do them for everyone. I didn't see any other animals in other rooms though. (Jessica had put one in our window...so I added the rest.)
BTW, we were in Casitas 3353 and 3354. If anyone would like to see the "view" (or should I say NO view or TREE view) from our room, I'd be happy to post pix. Just let me know.

Wow! How much did you tip to get all those towel animals?

When I stayed at the Pop Century we left 2-3 dollars and didnt get anything, but when we left $5 or $6 dollars....we got these:

There are only 124 king rooms at CSR and many of them have some sort of handicapped accessible bathroom or feature. They are spread out among the three villages and can be standard rooms.

Thanks for the info! I just called back and made my request for a king in the cabanas. :cloud9:

This is a really great thread! Thanks for keeping it up and providing all this great info!:flower3:

One other quick question ... We booked our stay with the AP rate and we have our voucher. We will probably be getting in late on the first day (like 9p or 10p), will they accept the voucher for our AP or will they want to charge us rack rate since we only have the voucher? The only bad thing so far I can find for moving to the west coast is the later flights if you need to go east! LOL Unless you are willing to leave in the middle of the night! I am not sure I can talk DH into that one ...:rolleyes1

DH would be thrilled to be able to get a king bed. If they are available in the standard rooms, I will request one, I do understand that everything is only a request though and I will prepare him for that :)

I was also thinking of requesting the Cabanas, should I request a specific building also? Does one section of CS have more king beds than the others? I am sure I will have a couple more questions, so thanks in advance for helping me out!!:goodvibes

Hi, Just so you know, like Buzz2001 said, some of the king rooms have some handicapped accessible features. We stayed in king room at CSR Cabana 8A building room #8510 last week. It had a complete handicapped accessible bathroom. That did not work out for us and we requested a room change which ended up being a king in Casitas. Just wanted to let you know about the HA king rooms. I have posted photos of our rooms in my resort report if you care to take a look: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1549481
Have a magical time!

Thanks for the info. We'll see what we get when we get there, hopefully we'll get a standard king room and not an HA king room. I wouldn't want to have an HA room if there is someone who needed it. It's just DH and I, so we should be ok in the HA room if we end up there. Besides, we'll be at WDW and it's my birthday!!

Your thread has some great info in it too! Thanks!!:goodvibes

We left $5 per envelope per room. I felt it was the right amount since there were 3 of us per room. DH is rather ummm, how do I say it.....hmmmm...well, he's a tightwad! :lmao: He wasn't really pleased that I insisted on leaving Mousekeeping Envelopes each day...and in each room, but I felt the need.
The first day I left the envelopes on the counters by the sinks and they were still there when we got back. :confused3 The room had been made up but it didn't seem to really have been cleaned. (I think it was Jessica's day off) The next day, I put the envelopes on the bed resting against the pillows. NO WAY she could miss them there. That's when we got the first towel animals...swans and butterfly, I think.:woohoo:
There was another day when we didn't get anything special...maybe another day off for Jessica. Oh well, we loved the ones we got!

I've just made up all our Mousekeeping envelopes for our trip in dec. They have messages and Disney stickers on them so i hope our Mousekeeper appreciates them as much as we will appreciate their hard work.:)

Hi again, I just thought of another question. I booked a HA room and most are kings. I was wondering though, since I didn't book a king, I'm not expecting it. If we get doubles, could they be pushed together or are they bolted to the floor like Pop Century's?

Hi guys!

We are leaving in a couple of weeks for Coronado Springs! It's our first time. I was wondering if someone could tell me if they have shampoo, a separate conditioner and lotion? Just trying to figure out what I need to pack. Also, how do you overide the air conditioner? I hope it's not too hot that week, but you never know! Lastly, we asked for a crib for our 1 year old. I'm assuming that they'll have sheets for it? Also, do we need to ask for fridge or do all of the rooms have them? Any other ideas of things we need to bring or anything else?

Thanks for all your help!
Lisa

Hello! We just returned in June from a wonderful stay at CSR!
-We were given shampoo, a seperate conditioner and lotion.
-Although we have used the trick to override the AC at other resorts, we never needed to do so at CSR. It was comfy 24/7.
-For the crib sheets, I would bring my own for a baby, even if they were supplied. Maybe I'm wierd but that's just me.
-The rooms come standard with a frig.
-Other things we bring? If you like wine, a corkscrew. If you drink coffee, your own ground coffee-with a measuring spoon! And if you have long or thick hair and want to dry it? Bring your own dryer. :upsidedow

We just had to switch our ressies from POFQ to CSR to get an AP discount. The last time we stayed at CSR was in 1998. I'm sure alot has changed since then. We loved the resort and thought it was simply gorgeous especially at night. One of our favorite things to do was to get our meals at the PM and take it outdoors to eat by the lake. Can we still do this or have they placed something else there now? I'll be so disappointed if we have to eat inside. We're really excited about returning to CSR.

And Buzz, your website is awesome. I wish every resort had someone willing to make such a dedication. It truly is amazing.

Thanks! CSR has added some great tables outside. You can see them on this thread.
