The "New" Ask Yavn and QA_SuzyQT Question Thread

and another daily question:

Will vmk.com ever have some more downloads? I would love some new screenshots and icons

A little early, but I was wondering if you were going to have some items for a variety of faiths during the December holidays?

Would you ever make like splash mountain a "ride" we could actually go on, and like have us go down the big 50 ft mountain and get our characters wet, and actually make us go on Space Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain and rides like that??

Thanks!!

will there ever be a way to play pirates 1 and 2

jungle cruise seems to be a game almost everyone can play. But the pay off is so little and the same no matter how well you do. Is there any talk about maybe scaling the credits for how well you do?
This is something I've thought about for a long time. So many people get on pretty early and 10 minutes later there are top 10 scores in the 60's, which most people can't get.

So it shuts most people out of the higher credits, and they are stuck with the old 20 credits. :( And this is from someone who can get the top scores.

It's never too early to ask about holiday stuff. Remember they have to get the idea, do the programming, and testing (and anything else in between) before they release anything. It does take time. :)
I am also wondering about this. There are so many people playing that celebrate not just Christmas, but Chaunkah and Kwanzaa as well. :)

When will first place in fireworks not be penalized by half the credits?

Hey kids -- play hard until the end and then just sit there!! Laugh when you cheat people who do their very best all the way through the game out of credits!
I agree.

Actually, I've also wondered why they give the same amount of credits for placing in 3rd and 4th levels. :confused3
And if you don't reach at least 3rd level, you get zip.

Which I've actually experienced several times recently due to the really good players shutting out those that try to play but aren't great.

There should be maybe a token amount for those that try to play and get kicked after round 1. Maybe 10 or 20 credits.

And maybe 25-50 for level 2.
Level 3, keep at 150.
Level 4, increase to 200 - 250.
Level 5 can stay the same at 300.

And those that reach over 240k should keep getting what they're getting, But those that actually come out the winner should get more. Even if it's only 50 credits more, people will at least finish playing the game to see how high they can get and try to get more credits.

Make it worth people's while to at least try to play to get good. ;)

I agree with you cteddiegirl :) I am one who don't do very well on the games being the grandma that I am :goodvibes ..but I certainly can do Jungle and I like it. But it don't give out much credits. So I agree it would be ncie if they thought of all the players...the older ones and the younger children! :)

Again I agree with you cteddiegirl :thumbsup2 It really isn't much fun to play for hours practing to get better at reaching that third level just to get nothing. You are right it certainly would be nice to help players who are new or just learning get some credits too! :)

I dont know if this has been asked in this thread yet or not but i saw it in another thread and think it is an excellent question. Is VMK going to open up more than 1 host room at a ti9me? With the end of the DC it is next to impossible to get in a host room theses days

will there ever be a way to play pirate 1 and 2

Will there ever be a default option for our charaters clothes?(ex: you make a certain combo of clothes and hair, then push a button that says "set as default" and when you change, you can hit a Default button that instantly changes you back)

Another question:
Will Pirate walls be buyables?

Hi Yavn and Suzy. :)

In the future, do you think that you could bring newer magic pins? I like the idea of single use, but I don't like the expiration factor. :(

Why was the decision made to remove the selection box when placeing items or selling items back?

What I mean is you now have to click each and every item you want to place or sell instead of having the box move one place to the right with each click. It now makes room design a little more work and less fun. You can't quickly place similar items or dispose of all those Pirate items as quickly.

I live in Ireland and going to wdw or dlr is a near inpossibility for a couple of years, disneyland paris, however, is much nearer and avalible.
Will you ever be able to get the cards over there for the quests? like there is not that much need to promote it, but if you have them filled out you can get the cards?
just wondering,
master gracy

My question is why is it so hard to earn credits yet everything is so expensive and thrown at us so suddenly? Will you consider making these sources of credits give more or at least more ways to earn credits? Instead you just lower the amount of credits given like in the music game and haunted mansion. It will definately bring down the amount of mules. Also have you thought of making restaurants like in Habbo Hotel that I played before. Someone goes up to a counter with a computer person behind it and says a food item they want and the computer gives the item to the person. Or at least more food. All we can put in our mouths is water and chocolate coins. What about some new dance moves instead of the old way that the characters dance. How about the opportunity to choose a dance you want to do. And what exactly is the prize in the Halloween quest in DLR?

May we please, please, please have santa mickey ears during the holidays this year? Pretty please...... :cloud9: :santa: :earsboy: :earseek:

Keep up the good work VMK!

11/2/06

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for the santa mickey ears!

Yay!

This may have been asked but I didn't see it answered so here goes:

Will people booking trips to WDW ever be able to get the stitch hat, or a different character one? I just booked a trip and wish I could get something for VMK by doing so.

I really dislike this change too macntosh. It sure slows up room design, trading, and especially selling (like lots of Yeti cars). But I think I have a guess as to why they did it... it's to help prevent people from accidentally having an item selected and placing it in a room or, worse, into a trade window without realizing it. I know in the past I myself would find an object I didn't mean to be put into trade or placed in a room... and sometimes if an object gets put incorrectly into a room it could be behind something and appear to be "lost".

I myself did accidentally sell 1 of a matching set of Big Thunder Teleporters and some other "mystery item" (to this day I have no idea what it was... some piece of furniture, all I know is by the time I caught myself I already had the screen telling I'd earned 100 credits). I've also nearly sold, traded, and room dropped numerous other items, but managed to correct those.

So again, I think this change was done on purpose by VMK (ie it's not a "bug") and I think it's meant to keep selections deliberate on the part of the user instead of automatically having VMK select the next item. I doubt they'll change it back... now it would be nice if there was some "advance" mode we could turn on/off - especially when we're building rooms.

Now as for my question to Yavn:
Since the big changes last week there are some strange dictionary issues. One is that non-friend character names for people in the same room blink red as though forbidden, but if forced-entered through the name appears in our talk bubble (as opposed to censored with ###). Also, writing messages seems so much more difficult now that you don't allow double-spacing after the end of a sentence. Will this be corrected soon?

Thanks for taking the time to read/answer our questions.

Will the Downloads section of the website ever be updated with more things

My question was answered in round one, so here's another:

Will it be possible to make a "turn off all access" to our rooms? I'm not anti-social, and I'm not mean, but it would be nice, when I am entering codes or arranging furniture and the like to not have people come in. When they come to my rooms, I want to be nice and talk or answer questions, but I really want to do whatever it is that I am doing in my room, too!

I can still answer messages, and if there's something important I can turn the feature off and open my room back to friends.

Just a thought.

This seems odd but...

With Pirates Can We Have A Room Where We Just Play Level 2 (And Level 1 And 3) Like Instead of North And Stuff We Have Three Level 1,2 ,and three.
The reason for this is when we are playing 1 level we dont need to go to 5 rooms
