The nerve of SOME people...

The original auction listing by the OP was revised and the "Sold Out" was taken off the description. But another poster besides the OP said that it did originally say "Sold Out" in the description. This is misleading since in fact the date listed in NOT sold out.

I do not agree with people trying to sell an item (tickets) to make a huge profit on them. If the item was listed at the original price of the tickets and then goes up from there, that is different and it is the bidders choice to pay that amount. But when a person lists 4 tickets for MNNSSHP at $850 as a Starting price, then that is blatant scalping - 4 adult tickets at should be approx. $136.12; 2 adults & 2 kids tickets should be approx $123.34.

As I posted earlier - One auction had the following statement at the bottom (must be required) "Florida Residents: Florida state law restricts the resale price of a ticket for this venue (event location). If you are a resident of Florida, your maximum bid cannot exceed $650.00" - But the starting price was already over that amount, so obviously Florida residents could not bid on this item.

If I am reading the posts right, most are mad that someone would try to deceive people by saying something is sold out, when it isn't or by overpricing the tickets to make a large profit off of them.

The seller might have THOUGHT all MNSSHP's were sold out and they might have thought they were holding onto a hot commodity because of the prices that people were getting on ebay. Perhaps the emails from people like you made them realize that only the 31st was sold out. Kind of like thinking you have a hot baseball card only to find out your particular card is the run of the mill one.

I wonder some times if people (ie "partners in crime") "co-operate" to sell items at an inflated price so that people on ebay will think "if people are paying that much, I guess I will have to also, and for someone to pay that much it really must be worth it"....or maybe they "fake" sell them at a higher price so that people who buy the next batch from the same seller think they are getting a really good deal?? The only reason I thought this up was from surfing ebay and trying to reason out some of the outrageous (to my mind) prices people will pay for things. I have no idea if what I am saying is even possible on ebay, it was just my thought

Deliberate fraud in order to sell anything is wrong.

Risking your own time, efforts and money in order to buy something with the hopes of reselling it to make a profit is an admirable enterprise. This is the premise behind many of the companies that provide our paychecks - I'm not sure why anyone would slam an honest ticket reseller.
