Sorry I haven't checked in yet today. We came down to the pool this morning and we've already been verbally attacked my two families over chairs. Apparently it's ok to save an entire row of chairs with no personal belongings on them. Then I found another set and was told I was "stealing" them. Again no personal belongings. Some of these families have umbrella tables and an additional 8 or 10 lounge chairs. And apparently that's fair. Oh and to top it off we've been down here over an hour and nobody had sat in them. I am so angry I'm about to leave. My husband is standing and they won't even offer him a seat. I wouldn't care if they would just sit in them once.

I remember reading on the the old Beach Club thread about the CM's cracking down on saving chairs at SAB. I'm sorry you're going through that, but honestly, I'd either sit down anyways or call a CM over...especially if there was a good amount of time that had passed with no one in sight.

I would go up to a CM and ask them where you should plop yourself down seeing that a few families are hogging up all the chairs and nobody is sitting in them. I'd point out the people who were confrontational and let the CM handle it. They shouldn't be allowed to save seats and not actually be using them, plus have an umbrella table to sit at . . .that's just unacceptable IMHO.

I'm really enjoying your Live Report. We were at the Beach Club last year and this report is bringing back such wonderful memories. Except the chair situation. The management needs to put out signs or something that says holding chairs is not allowed! That is ridiculous!

It's frustrating they don't have a more consistant policy about chair saving! When we were there in June 2011 a CM would come through about every hour and pickup any towels that were just laying on a chair but that hadn't been used, it's too bad they aren't all on the same page!

I can't wait to hear the chair outcome. I am generally a nice person but in a situation like that don't expect me to be nice or wait I can be a little um...loud in a way.

Last year when we went to OC, MD, our room led us out to the pool. So we had our own table & chairs right there but there was a gate. But I was able to get out at 8 & get my chair with my towel while the kids were still eating breakfast. I think I was in that chair by 8:15 since they kids wanted to go swimming. But when we headed to the beach for a few hours, I removed my stuff & let someone else sit there.

We are a family of 5 & I try to limit myself to 2 lounge chairs or a table & no lounge chairs. We pretty much are in the pool but on occasion we aren't. I don't need 5 lounge chairs for all of us since at least 3 (the kids) will be swimming the entire time.

Oooppp...sorry I went on my own tangent.

Let the battle of the chairs begin...
