Good morning :)

We had a successful night at Epcot EMHs last night. :thumbsup2 Pretty much everything was a walk-on except Soarin'. It was much more enjoyable temperature wise as well, a nice cool breeze was blowing. We did MS, SSE, LwtL, Figment, and then had to go back to the resort because we were exhausted. Soarin' was a 95 minute wait at 11:00 PM so we didn't do it. It's so nice to walk back thru the International Gateway and be almost to your bed. :goodvibes Luckily we had asked a CM for some bottled water earlier in the day because they haven't had water out at night in the lounge. Only soda. Plus we still had some Evian left from a big bottle they gave us. Water is precious around here right now... and the CM did tell us they were almost out of Dasani bottles so hopefully they stocked up. With this heat I'm sure everyone is requesting a ton of it.

Oh, forgot to post last nights hot apps were a puff pastry and crab rangoon. I can't believe I still haven't eaten anything down there, normally I like to try everything but we have been snacking on all this candy we have in the room which has totally ruined my appetite for appetizers.

For anyone who follows my Twitter you already know that while we were dining at Nine Dragons last night the bathrooms all flooded and closed down. Which resulted in me having to put my poncho back on and walk to Norway to use the bathroom during dinner. Not fun! But our meal was very good, between the 5 of us we had the sesame chicken, the peppery shrimp, the nine dragons fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken. Everything was delicious! I wouldn't recommend eating here if you are on DDP since our entrees were only about $18 each, but if you are paying cash I thought it was well worth the money. We had the shrimp toast and egg roll appetizers too, both were very good. We actually haven't had one bad meal here yet this trip! :) Oh, I think I forgot to say that yesterday's lunch was the Cantina San Angel, which we took on a tray down inside La Cava to have margaritas. YUM YUM YUMMMMMMMMM :thumbsup2

Ok, lets see, what else am I forgetting to report .... I feel I've been a bit behind on reporting in because we've had to dodge rain showers and use less down time. I've got another 50 or so pictures from yesterday uploading now. You can still use that link I posted earlier to take you to my photobucket album.

Today we are headed back to MK, then dinner tonight is Via Napoli followed by the delivery of DS's surprise birthday cake!!!! :cool1:

I can't believe we only have 3 days left!!!! Trips always go way too fast.

Wow those are some crazy long wait times, not sure I would ever wait that long for SE. I'm sure the air conditioning at Inovations feels great! Can't wait to get to BCV to check out SAB. I promise not to save a chair that I may or may not sit in.......

So glad to hear this!

That's just crazy! Line must have been out to the parking lot! :rotfl:

It was crazy! I had never seen such long lines, I heard someone say that yesterday was the last day of summer vacation for all the local school corporations in this area. So I'm wondering if maybe a lot of locals were here.

Epcot yesterday (Tuesday 8/7):

Lovin your report! I could never get tired of looking at Epcot photos . . .we just LOVE it there . . .

We do too! Especially my husband. I think that's why we've been staying at the monorail resorts less and less. Its a combination of the kids getting older and our love of Epcot. :) Not that I didn't love our Poly and GF stays over the last year, I could never say a bad thing about those 2 resorts, but there is something special about the Epcot resorts. :thumbsup2

Sounds like you're having a great trip! It's crazy how fast the time goes when you're there. Thanks for the pics of Epcot, I just happened to be listing to the future world music loop when I looked at them...perfect! I even got that "feeling" in my stomach that I always get when we're walking into the parks.

2 Weeks until we check into the BC! I wish time would go as fast as it does when you're there but I'm sure it won't.

Loving your live report, as always! Is the internal Disney Resort channel still running promos w/ that fun, spunky girl ... Stacey (i think?) ... throughout the day? I love those little shows w/ her :) Also, have you seen any resort refill mugs -- are they still red w/ the celebration design?

Yep, Stacy is still on tv with her top 7 must see attractions. :)

Mugs are new as of last winter. Hot pink is my favorite. And there is also a turquoise , I'm sure someone on the mug thread has pics.

Today is pretty much a bust for us as far as riding rides. MK is packed, every ride line is insane. Even less popular ones like Stitch and Philharmagic are out the doors and wrapped for miles. The boys are doing Socerers and we are just shopping and walking around.

Enjoying your reports and following along intently in anticipation of our arrival in one week!!

First -- EEWW - only in the happiest place on earth does this not ruin dinner!!:lmao:

Wait!! I can bring my lunch from the CS Cantina and sit in La Cava with it?? party:

Boooo!! To the crowds you're coming across these past 2 days!! You seem to be making the best of it. I was looking at the crowd calendar at Undercover this morning and Epcot was neutral (good) yesterday and MK was neutral today -- sounds like all of the discount codes Disney put out is filling up the parks exactly the way the wanted. Makes me a little nervous for next week (a couple of days the crowds are rated worse than yesterday and today)

Sounds like our plan is late to bed, early to rise, and swim/drink in between (although I'm disappointed in the chair issues at SAB you're encountering)

I highly recommend rope drop. Or better yet a early morning ADR at crystal palace to finish eating before MK opens. Luckily we don't really care about hitting all the rides, we just relax and wander around. ;)

I think an early morning ADR might be the perfect way to walk around a nearly empty rope drop... Now, if I could only get my family out of bed and into the park in time!

We've got club level at the BC this time around so I'm not planning any breakfasts... Maybe I should reconsider!

Coincidentally, today I was finally able to get a spot for an early morning ADR at Crystal Palace during our stay. It's not as early as I would like (8:25), but I'm going to keep trying for an earlier time. I love being able to walk down Main Street when it's empty. We're planning on getting there at 8:00, so we have plenty of time for pics and hopefully if we check in a little early we can get seated then.

I think I'm at the point where a lot of people are starting to cancel CP ADRs since they are credit card guaranteed, plus have the added $10/person penalty for a no-show.

We're also booked CL, but I told my husband it's not vacation without a hot breakfast, so we would be doing that at least once - so I picked Crystal Palace for now.

Been at SAB this afternoon. Beautiful day , apparently we just missed Dick Vitale. He is staying at the yacht club and came down to the pool and went down the slide. Sorry we missed him!!! I talked to a couple of CM's about the renovations. All the kids activities and music have already been moved down to the kiddie pool and will stay there until the construction is done. She said approximately mid December. she said the new hurricane Hannah's will have more seating, a huge bar, bar stools, flat screen TVs, etc. she said she saw the drawings and it looks incredible!!!

Hi Erika!
Just wanted to say that your report is awesome...following everyone who is there now, getting so excited! LOVE your EPCOT pics.

Did the CM tell you when HH will be closing? We check in August 19...hoping it's open! But the new HH sounds fantastic, and just what they need.

Have a great time:)

She didn't say. But I'm guessing since they already moved the kid activities it's in the near future.

I think the rooms are getting pretty close to needing a refurbishment as well. Not the new bedding of course but we have had maintenance here 4 times in 3 days for the bathroom. Our toilet was leaking around the base, they fixed it once then two days later had to fix it again, the handle fell off our shower, the sink was leaking around the faucet. I also heard a lady telling a CM down the hall they had water leaking from their a/c. I think they call these things a "hard" refurb vs bedding and carpet being a "soft" refurb. But I'm not really sure how that works.
