The Murphy's are LIVE from the Beach Club!! August 4-11 Come join us!!! :)

WOW! Just have to say that after looking at all of those photos it makes me feel like I'm there, and I'm getting that excited-in-my-belly feeling about my trip if that even makes sense, LOL! Thanks for sharing! And it looks like you had a great day weather-wise, yay:yay:

Thank you Erika, I appreciate your thoughts and honesty. I am seriously wondering if I made a bad decision on staying CL there at the Beach Club next month. Between your and some other posters thoughts on the lounge offerings and the problems with the rooms. :scared:

Changing to Poly CL would have been an extra $223 a night for us, so that's about $1500 for the week. I didn't think it was worth the switch. Plus we spend a lot of time at Epcot, almost all our dinners have been there, so BC is a good location for us. They are coming this morning to completely remove our toilet. Last night at 9:30, while we were in the middle of having my son's birthday party, they wanted to do the work and I sent them away. I hope my report doesn't ruin your opinion on the BC CL, you have to take the good with the bad when it comes to any of the WDW resorts. We've had our fair share of issues pretty much everywhere on property. And as far as CL goes I still think the continental breakfast just steps from your room has value, and we've gotten a ton of soda and water this week. Plus the staff has been great, IPO was fantastic, so I still think club is a good choice. However if you are thinking you could replace dinner (which you use to be able to do easily at most of these lounges) I think you will be very disappointed.

Do they have any other colors?! I already have those! Lol!

I have only seen black, turquoise, and hot pink. Unless you count all the old red and blue ones from previous years! There are still plenty of people using old expired mugs.

Too funny! We're staying CL so I probably won't even buy a mug... I have a hot pink, turquoise, and a black already!

Hmm.. Reusable mugs? LOL! Kidding!!!!

Well the kids are jumping for joy this morning, they finally have cinnamon rolls in the lounge. :lmao: They have been turning their noses up all week because they don't like anything with fruit or nuts in it. ;)

I forgot to report on dinner last night. We had Via Napoli. It was very delicious as usual. The kids split a pizza and we still had 3 slices left. I had chicken parmigiana, DH had the candlestick pasta with sausage, mom had spaghetti and meatballs, we had the calamari app, and the mozzarella caprese, everything was prepared well and tasty. We didn't have dessert because I knew we had a birthday cake waiting for us.

The cake was on a tray on the end of the bed when we walked in. They included a card as well as plates and forks:

I ordered the 6 inch which was plenty big enough for the 5 of us with still a couple of pieces leftover.

Chocolate cake with traditional butter cream chocolate frosting. It was delicious!!!! :cloud9:

That stinks that you have had issues. We had a problem with a hot water heater at POR during one of our stays. It was 55 degrees and raining and all we wanted to do after running around all day was take a warm shower, but that wasn't happening. It was a full day before it was fixed and up and running. While it sucked, it was something that could happen anywhere, you just always think it won't happen at Disney. We didn't get upset and they were so wonderful about trying to make it right. That is where Disney wins us over and over again. They just do it right, even when something bad happens.

oooo DS loves cinnamon rolls! Do you think it's just a Thursday thing? Have the lounge crowds gotten any better?

Could be. Not sure. Yes the crowds in the lounge seem better than last weekend. Still quite crowded though. Never a table available.

Omg just had the BEST food at Yak & Yeti!!!!!! Yummmmmmmmmmm

So as you know our toilet has been broken the whole week. We've had various people come to fix it, yesterday they were supposed to finish the work but the guy didn't show up until 9:30 PM and we were right in the middle of eating birthday cake. So he said he would come back this morning. We spent the whole day at AK, came back to the resort around 2:00 PM... and guess what? Nobody came to fix it this morning. The smell of sewer gas hit me like a freight train. So I call Neil down at the desk and get him involved... he calls back of house and they find another vacant room down the hall where we can shower (imagine a whole day at AK in 99 degree heat, a shower was an immediate must) meanwhile maintenance is going to come back and fix the toilet. However that didn't work either because maintenance came back and then decided a plumber needed to be called. How come nobody knew that earlier this week when the other 2 maintenance men came?? Anyway, the 3rd guy left, the kids and I shower down the hall... and can I say how MISERABLE it is to pack up all the toiletries and clean clothes and schlep them down the hall when you are hot, sweaty, and exhausted??? Now it is 5:45 PM, we are all showered and the plumber is supposedly coming at 7:00 PM while we are at our Cape May dinner. I sure hope he shows up. DH did go down and talk about the inconvenience to make sure the CMs were aware this has been going on for several days and we got a small credit (will cover dinner anyway) for our trouble. I know things like this can happen, I just wish it could have been resolved in a more timely manner. Hopefully tonight we will come back to a functioning toilet and no more sewer smell.

I have TONS of pics from AK today! Will post them soon...... OH and if you follow my Twitter you can go see my son with Dick Vitale!
