The Mother of All Trip Reports! 7 Day Land/Sea Nov. 7 - 14th

Great report, very informative!

I have been on two RCCL cruises with my husband, and now have our first Disney cruise coming up in February and we are bring the kids. Your comparisons were helpful to keep my expectations in check. When comparing staterooms, I have always compared the D classes on RCCL with the Category 4 on Disney, so the category 4 will be about 100 sq ft bigger. It is a cruise ship, so I expect to be crowded!

There are a few things I have already heard are different that I'm not thrilled with; the lack of the interative TV that RCCL has (I don't remember the exact name of it) that lets you check your account on the TV in your room, book excusions, order room service etc. and no atm on board, or (casino for that matter where you could get cash and charge it to your room account!). But, I'm taking this cruise for my kids, and will have to give somethings up for them!!

One thing going for Disney, their staterooms for 5 have a balcony, and there are lots of them. RCCL ships have a few cabins in the FF category that sleep 5 but they don't have a balcony and there aren't many of them. (I can't afford the suites on either line!)

Wow!

I love trip reports like this! I love getting all the nitty gritty details provided in long reports.

I thought it was cool how you kept reminding people that these things were just your opinions and other people might see things differently. Everybody should know that but sometimes people get mad at you if you state your opinions so I thought that was cool.

I agree that the food was just average. I thought the cabins were HUGE compared to the RCCL cabin but who knows what category I had on RCCL. We had a Cat 5 on Disney.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to do this. You've made me want to stay at the Poly....never had any desire to do that up until now.

I was excited to read your report because your trip is just like my first one- Poly & 4 day cruise :)

Thanks for the great report!
