Okay, you've lost me with "LS"....I assume it's analogous to Bell Services? We used it last year and it worked fine, although as you pointed out, you probably won't get your luggage for a while. We went to the parks and took our swimsuits with us so that we were sure we could go to the pool at the resort we were checking into in the afternoon.

I did the same thing, but added 3 days!![]()

Can you have it noted on the reservation that it's a surprise? Maybe that'll keep them from saying something...even so, if they do, just play dumb on where you're going?
Good idea! I'll have to mention that. Maybe they'll suggest something too when I say it's a surprise.
Then the night before she needs to pack up, set out some Poly themed items so when she wakes up, she'll be confused...then you can let her know![]()
Glen, you used LS for luggage transfer before? How long did it take? Were you without your luggage all day? Did you check-in at your next resort in the morning or did you go to a park first? Sorry to bombard you with questions
in the morning, then went to the parks. Probably about mid-afternoon we went and checked-in at our new resort. Our stuff didn't arrive until probably about 3 or 4 pm. We took our swimsuits with us in a backpack when we went to the parks to ensure that we could hit the pool as soon as we got to the new resort. I just remembered -- we put that backpack in a locker at the park so we didn't have to schlep it all over the place. A locker fee could be a lot cheaper and easier than taking a cab. Other than segregating our swimsuits and stuff we wanted to have and carrying the backpack it was a very easy process and I'd do it again without hesitation.Yes, we were pretty much without our luggage all day. BS![]()
Good point about the lockers. Do you know how much they are? Perhaps I'll bring a backpack or small bag this time to use for essentials when we're switching resorts. Thanks for the info!
Man, you've got a lotta questions Jenbear! (Just kidding, I'm glad to help.)
I forgot the wealth of information that's available right here on the DIS
Sorry to be such a nuisanceI forgot the wealth of information that's available right here on the DIS
I found out that a small locker costs about $10 which includes a $5 refundable deposit for the key. With that in mind, we'll go with using BS to transfer our luggage and rent a locker.![]()
To be completely honest, the procedure itself was rather painless. The dentist froze me up good
That was nearly enough to make me lose my lunch (thankfully I hadn't eaten right before) Afterwards, I was fine..........until the freezing started to wear off. Holy alarm bells! I was in PAIN. I couldn't fill my prescription pain meds fast enough! When I finally did get some pills in me, it took nearly an hour and a half for them to kick in. Ugh. It was very painful. I was restricted to a liquid diet for the rest of the day. That was extremely hard since I love food. Soup and meal replacement drinks only get you so far....
I'm off again tomorrow so I'm going to try to get some more days planned out.
3 days!??! Well someone likes to splurge![]()
Sorry folks! Forgot that I'm not on the fridge swap thread. LS = Luggage Services, you're right. The acronym for Bell Services would be intrepreted much differently

I was soooooooooo happy to see this conversation!! I was totally wondering about how LS worked out for people!! I have to do it twice! Thanks for the reminder to take my swimsuit out, too.
As do I! You'll definitely hear all about it upon my return
Jen- So sorry to hear about your tooth! Glad you got all doped up though, and that the pain meds are working. To bad it had to take so long thought! Yikes!!
Thank you for the kind words, Liesa. I felt really miserable last night. Thankfully I didn't wake up to my face looking like a chipmunk. That was my biggest worry.
Hope that time you need to plan out your remaining 8 days comes along!

Me too! Hopefully I can get some planning done today - that is if I can get my laundry done![]()

The more important thing is how do you FEEL!? Still on those pain meds?? Or is it a little better? I'd take chipmunk face syndrome over pain anyday!
I'd also take laundry over toilets anyday too.![]()
I'd have to agree with you on that one! I feel okay. Not great but okay. I just took my first pain pill of the day a couple minutes ago. The pain seems to increase whenever I do physical activity i.e. laundry, making my bed, lifting things, etc. Thanks for asking Liesa
Be sure to drink plenty of fluids when on pain meds. This will help with some of the unpleasant side effects. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
