The Most MAGICAL Trip Of Them All! "EVERYTHING'S PERFECT!" Oct. 2012 UPDATE 1/11

Jamaica looks so pretty! I love the colors of the buildings, it's much prettier than Aruba! Lawl. Oh mi gosh, the GF is so so so gorgeous, at all hours of the day. One of these days I'll actually either stay there, or take the time to tour around it during the day, it's so pretty.

Yum! Disney food! Om nom, everything is so good, everything looks great!

Yay for TSM in the morning, that's so great that you guys got in so much quicker than the posted time, yay! Front row on ToT & RnR, that's great! Miranda takes great ride photos! Haha, I'm also in love with that green dress! Yay.

More Disney food! I just want to eat everywhere in Epcot, the restaurants look so good, everywhere, ugh!

Great update! I'm excited to read more!

I don't think those guys moved in 2 weeks.

You guys got a TON done at HS! :)

San Angel Inn, ANOTHER of my favorites! Seriously, you're just hitting up some my fav. restaurants at Disney this trip, haha. We were seated right next to Gran Fiesta Tour/the river and it was amazing! I just adore everything about that restaurant, and the food (haha I initially typed FOOT here and just edited/fixed this, but it definitely made me laugh) is SO good.

We're going with our friends next trip and this is the one dining reservation that my husband and I are doing alone (our friends wanted to do Teppan Edo instead, but I feel like San Angel is just such a unique experience!).. I'm very much looking forward to returning!

You absolutely would have never made it to your early reservations on time relying on the CBR bus system. Truth.

Mmmm...your breakfast pictures are making me super hungry right now. I love me some breakfast.

Oh, I'm buying my AP replacement before the end of December and holding it until our July trip. You can't beat that price. No way.

You should have done your arm workouts before going to TSM. I'm been going to the gym regularly just to increase my arm strength. :lmao:

Well....seeing as though I'm old enough, I would NOT have refused tequila, no matter the time. :lmao:

Your meal looks really great. It't been a few years for me since I've been back to San Angel Inn. I adore the atmosphere.

Wow, 6 am! GFC is one of those places I always have in my head to try but never actually do. My friend had a really bad experience there (like, laughably horrendous!) but I've only heard good things recently. Your meal looks SO delicious, as does the food at San Angel! We had to cancel our reservation for that cause our plans changed, and I am still dying to eat there... for the atmosphere alone even! Luckily we kept our Via Napoli ADR, which had even better atmosphere...if you get my drift.

I have some sad news to report. Our Frogfish Friend Paul was not in his tank the last two times I went to visit him on my trip. I AM VERY CONCERNED. The first time, I thought nothing of it, that he was "on vacation" as they say or something. The second time was during EMH and so the tank lights were shut off and there were no CMs around to ask about it. And that was my last day. SO I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM. AHH I just hope he's okay.

What a yummy update. It may be 6:30 am right now but I don't care, I want those enchiladas for breakfast!

Jamaica at CBR looks awesome! I put in a request to stay there or Aruba so I hope we get one of the two. 15 days to go!

Ok, so now you have me rethinking my Coral Reef reservation. San Angel looks so yummy and I've always loved the ambiance of the Mexico pavillion. I already have Via Napoli reserved since we've never been there and we've been to Coral Reef before so maybe....:goodvibes

I swear Disney is the ONLY place where it's so easy to be up and raring to go at the crack of dawn. Ridiculous!

So when I went on my trip last month I had to call up my accounts department and get my leave sorted and the head of accounts asked me where I was going and when I told her WDW she told me that a few years ago SHE STAYED AT THE GRAND FLORIDIAN FOR A MONTH!!!! Now it's all we talk about when I have to call her :rotfl:

My arm was SO tired by the end of that game. Clearly I was out of practice! Sadly, I only scored 168,000.
Ahhh Jess I swear you are going to come back from your CP with massive guns from all your Toy Story Mania-ing!

That happened to us in RnR we had the countdown and then nothing, so we sat for ages.... aaaand then they evacuated everyone! At least we got to go through some behind the scenes bits?

That is sad that he isn't a frog fish AND that he was on vacation! Double sads.
Lionfish is pretty cute though

The view that you had in Mexico was amazing! You have such amazing trips - please shove me in your suitcase next time you go.

I keep slacking on commenting, but I am loving the updates so far! I am looking forward to trying Raglan Road some time!

Your view at San Angel Inn was amazing! How gorgeous! I could just live in that pavilion.

I'm so proud of you for not getting lost on the way to ME! How nice of AirTran to be on the correct side.

YAY FOR A PURPLE NEMO BALLOON! That sounds so perfect. And Nemo themed rooms. I love that! I LOVE NEMO!! I am so sad that I already have the DVD because it's getting re-released and I want the lithographs lol.

Alright, it's official. I'm booking an ADR for Raglan Road on my next trip. I need to eat there, without a doubt.

I really just enjoy being in the presence of Disney merch also. Hence, why working at the Disney Store is so awesomely wonderful.

Goodness, GFC is a restaurant I've always wanted to try, but it seems to always get bumped off the list. I have no idea why. I may have to prioritize differently next time!

Hooray for TSM! And ToT...my absolute, absolute favorite EVER EVER EVER in the whole wide world!

That's hilarious that you were all bracing and prepared for yourself to launch off on RnRC and you stayed. :rotfl: That cracks me up just visualizing that! Also, I love your pic of the RnRC guitar and ToT! Good eye!

my boyfriend's friend's favorite restaurant in San Angel Inn. I love the atmosphere. I think I may have to go there too. (If you haven't noticed, I feel like I may have to go to every restaurant. Not my fault that Disney makes everything perfect.)

Can't wait for more!

Wow, you guys got A TON done that morning!

I NEED to try San Angel Inn. Alicia RAVES about it and after seeing the food and hearing about THE CHIPS, I need to make an ADR. My mom thinks the food doesn’t sound good, but I think we need to give it a try!

And the Dulce de Leche looks delicious!

Yeah we did!
That's exactly why I tried San Angel! I have been meaning to anyway, but Alicia's love for that restaurant convinced me to get a reservation! I thought the food was WONDERFUL, if that helps. :thumbsup2
Oh it was!

That view...EPIC. I'm not kidding...it is just epic!

I know!!

To be honest, I think that all of the Grand Floridian Cafe is underrated. The food there is INCREDIBLE. I had the best mashed potatoes OF MY LIFE there. No exaggeration. They were really that good.

That score is so low for you after reading your last trip report! I hope that you had another chance to get a higher score!

This trip report really sounds like you had the MOST. AMAZING. TIME. EVER!

(Pardon all of my hyperbole and capital letters and exclamation points. I'm not sorry at all... I'm just feeling the excitement that this time tomorrow I will be on my way to the Magic Kingdom!!!)

Oh, it definitely is. Those pancakes were AMAZING!! I seriously need to get there for dinner or lunch or something very soon!

I know hahaha. I didn't on this trip, but during my DCP I'm sure that I will!

We really did!

Hahaha it's okay - all my trip reports are composed of are hyperboles and capital letters! :rotfl: Oh yay have a magical trip!!

Great Update!! Can't wait to see more!!

Debbie:thumbsup2

Thank you!

Joining in! I was hunting around for other October TRs and found yours. You look awesome in that Belle costume! When you said you were in the DCP I thought maybe that was your job, you look a lot like her! :goodvibes Anyways, subsribing now & looking forward to more!

Welcome, welcome! Why thank you so much! Aww I wish it was my job... that would be incredible! But concierge is gonna be pretty unbelievable too! :thumbsup2 Awesome, thanks for being here!

Yeah the Jamaica section was nice! I NEED to stay at Grand Floridian again soon. Oh my goodness. I'm so in love with it.

I know... it's all amazing food!

YAY TOY STORY! We had a really productive morning! And HAHA yeah she does. She lives at Disney so she has lots of time to think of cool poses. :lmao:

Thank you!

Yeah we do!

All of the restaurants we went to on this trip were new to me so I found a bunch of new favorites! Ah that's such a great spot! I really love it too!

Yeah I like San Angel better than Teppan Edo. The atmosphere is unbeatable!

You absolutely would have never made it to your early reservations on time relying on the CBR bus system. Truth.

Oh yeah. Thank goodness for Miranda and her car!
Good, good! That's a very smart idea.
Bahaha I know, right!? Unfortunately arm workouts are my LEAST favorite so I never do them. :rotfl:
Hahaha once I'm 21
It was! We had a great experience.

Wow, 6 am! GFC is one of those places I always have in my head to try but never actually do. Yeah I have cancelled 2 GFC reservations there in the past and I'm so glad I finally made it there to eat! The food was wonderful - that must have been a fluke experience. :confused3
Aww I'm so sorry you didn't make it to San Angel. Maybe we will have to go there when you come visit! But ahh Via Napoli is a tad bit better anyway. :thumbsup2

HE WASN'T!? OH NO! I hope he returns soon. I will look for him when I go down for New Year's. I hope he's okay too!!

just caught up.....:goodvibes

Awesome! I'm glad you're here!

What a yummy update. It may be 6:30 am right now but I don't care, I want those enchiladas for breakfast!

All caught up and looking foward to the next installment!

Thank you!

Oh goodness. You're dealing with two of the best restaurant atmospheres in Epcot. You really can't go wrong. The food at both places is really good and you'll enjoy yourself no matter what!

And definitely keep Via Napoli. That's one of my top favorites!!

I swear Disney is the ONLY place where it's so easy to be up and raring to go at the crack of dawn. Ridiculous!

Lionfish is pretty cute though

I know!
OH MY GOODNESS A MONTH!?!?! How did she afford that?! How lucky.
Bahaha I wouldn't be surprised.
Ooh that would be cool to see behind the scenes of RnR!
I know. How sad.
He was awesome!

The view that you had in Mexico was amazing! You have such amazing trips - please shove me in your suitcase next time you go.

I know! Aww thank you so much!! Haha I wish I could!

I keep slacking on commenting, but I am loving the updates so far! I am looking forward to trying Raglan Road some time!

Your view at San Angel Inn was amazing! How gorgeous! I could just live in that pavilion.

That's totally fine! I'm glad you're here! Ah Raglan Road is amazing.
It was! I know, me too.

I'm so proud of you for not getting lost on the way to ME! How nice of AirTran to be on the correct side.

I know! AirTran wins!
Oh darn, really? I already have it too. lol
GOOD! You're going to love Raglan Road. It's DELICIOUS.
Yeah I have tried to go there twice in the past, but I finally made it a priority to go to GFC on this trip. I'm so glad, too!
Haha thank you!
Yeah, you might want to. Going to every Disney restaurant should be on everyone's bucket list. :lmao:

The Mexico Pavillion is my FAVORITE! The details inside are amazing and it's always a nice break from the heat outside!

Chapter 4: Rain, Rain, Go Away. I Have the Halloween Party Today!
October 5th, 2012

We arrived back at Caribbean Beach after a tediously long bus wait. We went to the check-in building to get our pre-ordered Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets! TONIGHT WAS THE NIGHT!

Then we decided we wanted to check out the gift shop. The weird thing about this resort is that the lobby and the gift shop/food court/gift shop are NOT in the same area. We had to take the internal shuttles to Old Port Royale.

dsc0897t.jpg

We went into the gift shop and Mom got Minnie Ears for the Halloween Party and I got some tan Mickey shoes that I've been dying to get for so long! We also got a poncho because it was STORMING outside. I didn't want my costume to get ruined if the rain wouldn't let up.

I traded for some pins and we checked out. We looked outside and the rain looked like a sheet. It was POURING rain. We were pretty much stranded at Old Port Royale. And I was NOT happy about it. I had to get ready for the Halloween Party and there was only so much time left!!

dsc0901z.jpg

To pass some time, we looked at the food court. It's really cute in there! It has such a unique and interesting layout compared to other Disney resorts.

dsc0900if.jpg

After a while of waiting, we just caved and bought an umbrella. Thank God.

We took the internal shuttle back to Jamaica. It was about 5 o'clock once we got back. LOOK HOW MUCH IT WAS RAINING:

img4995g.jpg

Alright back to the room. IT WAS TIME TO GET SERIOUS! I needed to become a princess.

dsc0902v.jpg

I straightened my hair, redid my make-up, did my fancy Belle hairstyle, and put on my dress.

dsc0903wb.jpg

I looked in the mirror and Belle stared back at me. I was a little freaked out at first!! I actually looked like her! It was so crazy and it was a dream come true!

dsc0904j.jpg

I was really happy because we were doing okay on time. Time to take a few pictures!

The Back:

dsc0908s.jpg

We ran out the door to catch the bus to the party!

dsc0909w.jpg

Thank goodness the rain was letting up at this point!

dsc0910q.jpg

However, the stupid bus was taking FOREVER. We literally waited 25 minutes for a bus to show up.

FINALLY a Magic Kingdom bus showed up and it was packed to the brim. Mom and I slipped on the bus but no one else at our stop even bothered to get on. We just squeezed in and it was time to go to the party!

We didn't leave the resort until 6:40 pm. GAHH.

There was a little girl on the bus in a superhero costume and her Mom was like, "Look! It's Belle!" The little girl's face just LIT up. It was beyond precious. She kept waving to me and smiling. My night as a princess was just beginning.

This group of kids in the back of the bus were arguing over what character I was. (I think a lot of people get confused between Belle and Alice because the dress is so similar. But I mean... Look at my hair, people!) They finally asked me what character I was and I told them Belle. The little girl was like "HAH, I WAS RIGHT!" Hahaha I'm so proud of her.

We arrived at Magic Kingdom and all of the Cast Members addressed me as Belle. IT WAS SO PERFECT.

MICKEY'S NOT SO SCARY WE ARE REUNITED AT LAST!!!

dsc0913lv.jpg

I love the themed balloons! (:

We pretty much took pictures ALL the way down Main Street. Our first location: in front of Town Square Theatre!
