The Most Expensive Free Trip Ever - TR Link is Up! Pg. 164

I guess I could've gone with "honey", but that just isn't the same as "turkey".
i did not even think of that one, and you dont want to go with cupcake, cause then they might think you are making fun of them.

:sad2:

OK, done with 2 more installments on the $5 TR. Sorry it's taking me sooooo long to just hurry up and finish up, but you know how life is. I spent 2 hours on the phone with WKU for Andrew tonight, and it sucked the life out of me. Housing this, financial aide that... Blech!!

No problem. I'm enjoying seeing your comments every couple of days.

So, what can I say about the fireworks? You take really great pictures! Obviously you have a bit more than a P&S, right? I "practiced" at NYE here and came up with ka-ka. Maroo can take ours.

I got tired of the ka-ka and bought a Canon XSi. I got it a couple of months before the trip. Can you imagine if I'd had it for the Europe trip? Hoo-mama!

I haven't seen Spectro yet, but am looking forward to it. Normally, I'm not a parad-y type of gal, but this one somehow reminds me of the Mn. St. Electrical, whose music still bring tears to my eyes. WAH! Why did they take my beloved MSEP away?!!

but somehow I don't think the MSEP had funky disco balls on every float?? :confused3

I'm not big into parades either. I never saw the Main St. Electrical. I think the Animal Kingdom parade is my favorite.

DHS day: Yes, those would be Brazilians, and although I haven't gotten to the worst of what you may say, I have a bad feeling about this....

OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually I think we managed to avoid them pretty well somehow. Just a little delay at the fastpass machines, which you may have read?

Sorry, but I'm votin for Judy's Goofy, although you all did very well.

Now you've lost all credibility.

Tell James with a little practice he too could work for Disney!

Poor guy was very disappointed with his.

Now it's 1:49 and I"m calling it quits for the night. :goodvibes

G'night!

You NEVER saw MSEP?? :scared1: Ahhhh, such memories.....

Am I wrong?? But didn't they bring it back to California Adventure Park?? Jordan?? Anyone know??

YEP! But it's limited in the showings. Holidays and "special events"

which I really hope is during the F&W but don't know yet.

It was at DCA, but not sure if it will be back before summer. Even then, it may not be at DCA if World of Color is a hit. We'll see.

Thank you west-coasters for fielding this question, 'cause I have no idea! :confused3

Just checking in enjoying your post.:surfweb:

:welcome: mickeymouse108!

Glad you're checking in, and thanks for saying "hi"!

I see your signature says you'll be going to the World in 2010...what month? I guess it'll be your first stay at POR? We love it there.

Edited -- Ooops. Now I see that your signature indicates you've stayed at POR before. Guess you like it too.

Subbing. I just finished your June/July TR from last Summer. We were there for much of the time you were (at SSR) and MAN, was it hot!!

I haven't started reading tris report. It may take a bit to get caught up. I look forward to it!

Kanga -- :welcome: If you read my June/July TR, then you are my kind of DISer! Yes, it definitely was hot at the World last summer, but that made for some fun times at the pool.

Anyway, I'm glad you made it over to this thread. Take as much time as you need to get caught up. Chime in anytime.

Yup! Hot and crowded, but it's Disney and a hot, crowded day at WDW beats a perfect day at home! We also own at Kidani and stayed there for the first time over Thanksgiving. Definitely not too hot, but Veeeeery crowded. I'm changing my strategy this year. I picked two weeks that touringplans.com shows with light crowds and I'm pullin the kids out of school. I know I won't be able to do that when they're older, but I can now, so I will!! We're going the first week of May (Pop with AP discount) and the last week of October (AKV-concierge level...first time CL at WDW. I can't wait!)

Either or both weeks could be hot, but hopefully not July hot, and neither should be especially crowded. Plus...Flower and Garden and Food and Wine and MNSSHP!! Yippee!!

Congrats to your wife on her hard work and having the payoff be so much fun for the family. I also have a DS business, which I don't work too hard at this point because my kids are little, but when I do work it, I love the result! I paid for Christmas/Hanukkah this year!

Your family is lovely. I especially love Marlene's name as it was my late mother's name!

Thanks for the warm welcome and I look forward to hearing more.

Hmmmm... Somehow I seemed to have missed that you were from PA. We are too. We live kind of between York and Gettysburg, just north of the MD border.

Well Howdy, Kidani neighbor! I'd love to be able to go during the non-peak times, but can't pull my kids out of school. They miss so much and it's very difficult to get caught up again. We did it for a cruise in 2008 and my oldest daughter said she never wanted to do that again (miss a week of school, not not go on a cruise).

That'd be awesome to get all of those special events in.

Thank you, and good for you for helping out Santa and the Hanukkah bunny! The extra cash definitely helps out!

Thank you. We were looking for a nice yet not-real-common name. We tried to do the same for Lauren, but being new parents we didn't realize that everybody else had picked that name too. There are dozens of other Laurens in her school. Ooops. Oh well. James is named after his grandfathers (first name - my dad; middle name - Judy's dad).

Thanks for the warm welcome and I look forward to hearing more.

I'm glad you feel welcome here.

We're not too awful far from you, down in the corner near Delaware and Maryland. In a previous life, before kids, Judy worked in York.
