The Monsters Inc teleporters in use (Monster Hotel)

alyuel has a room open called Monster hotel. Its not a new room, its just the teleporters set up. While its neat to see, its not really worth the wait, so here's the photo of it.

That is too cute but I can see this getting out of control! and for a CM to create a Hotel I think is bad judgement.


But on another note you can also make beds out of Mal's thrones....

Believe it or not my older sister(24 years old)went on a 'vacation' this New Year's,and when she came back she saw the teleporters and said they reminded her of the hotel.

It's a pretty cool room,but to me it looks just a little busy.Still cute though

Well, now we see why the taken thing isn't against VMK values...you have to have a place to take your new friend....and a HOTEL is just the perfect place I swear sometimes VMK really makes me wonder.

Treasure chests with the huntsman hamper also make very nice beds. Everyone is welcome to take a peak at Princess Aurora's "Boo Door" or EngineerTiger's "Captain's Quarters" in the enchanted Blue Castle kingdom to see what nice bedrooms can be designed using existing furniture.

As to the hotel thing, I have seen several guests trying to recreate some of the Disney resort hotels, lo these many months of VMK. Before everyone gets too harsh, keep in mind that to a Disney park fan, those themed hotels are very much a part of the magic of the entire vacation (and did someone hint that there was an "Animal Kingdom Lodge" room due out sometime-oooooo). To a lot of the children who play VMK, the hotel is more the "cool place with the pool where Mickey or Stitch woke us up on the phone" than something inappropriate. Also, any child's dollhouse will have a "boo door"...er..."boudoir" or bedroom. Our rooms in VMK are really just virtual doll's houses, after all.

I see where you are coming from, BevGray, but the problem isn't the kids who think it is fun to build a virtual Contemporary...it's from the kids who take things too far. It also seems like a big contradiction on the part of the staff of VMK. One person says that taken is a not allowed, one person does....we're told couches shouldn't be used to make beds, then staff creates a hotel...It just seems like there could be more consensus. I also find it weird that "dictionary dancing" can get you banned, but other (more offensive things) won't.

I so agree, never the same thing is said twice in the VMK even when it is being said by the same person!

So excited! I waited in queue of 69 people, got in the room with the vmk host (forgot name of host sorry), and won the first round of barrel races. Then my vmk connection crashed when I was waiting for the final round! Nooooooooo! But then I waited in queue of 50-some odd characters, got in again, and the nicest host in the world let me go into the next final round cuz she remembered me. AND I WON THE FINAL ROUND! Yay! I have Monsters Inc Teleporter Pink now! All mine, not trading, not ever! Yay!

I put them on display in my holiday-themed room because those queues just to see the stinkers are insane. Got bored fast of staying in my room and everyone asking if they were for trade (room description, room title, and my character sig said Doors not for Trade), so I left and traded other stuff in the multitude of "Rare/Beta/Inferno/Costumes/Hats for Trade" rooms. Sorry, branching off, main point, the Monsters Inc Teleporter Pink is real and working and winnable as of this moment. Can't wait to get the Gold Door Teleporter (doesn't rhyme like Pinky tho).

Hi, I was in HOST_Annie's room tonight, the game was called Hit the Floor, Lose the Door and I won! I'm pretty sure I won the pink door teleporters (vs. purple) because that is the color the host games were to be awarding but I'm not so sure now after seeing the screenshot of the Monster Hotel. I will have to check in the morning. I'll try to spend some time in my room Wonder Briar if anyone wants to stop by and see the door (oohh,ahhh).

It was my first time to play a host game ever and I won the first time. woot!

I think HOST_Hula also had a game out there called Boo's Clues.

Host_Hula was that nice host that let me in the final round. I just had to see the name to remember it. Thank you, mizmouse! She was hosting Sulley's Barrel Race (or similar name) today in the afternoon, pacific time. It was my first time playing a host game and I won too. Yay for both of us!

PS: You can't say Clue in vmk so I don't know if Hula was hosting another game earlier in the day or not. I know another vmk staffer visited Hula's room during my stay in there, but I don't remember his name either. Sorry, I'm useless, lol.

You are very welcome! I think I picked up the Host_Hula game Boo's Clues off another thread (one that was moved to wishes and trades, I think), I didn't actually find/play that game. Maybe it was called something else & someone can correct me.

I need to get one of my rooms into the Dis Network, so much to do, so little time.

Thanks for the name of the barrel game, I will look out for it!
