The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

Oh I missed the Judy sightings again !!!! Gotta do better next time !!!:rotfl2:I enjoyed supper at WCC with catsup game and all but I agree the skillet is too much food !!!

Great update! Very weird about the ketchup, they did it at breakfast! I think my challenge with WCC would be doing it at lunch period, just too much food for lunch. I actually love resort dinners but you do have to plan the timing appropriately not to be frustrated with how much time it is. For us, by that time, we need the break and it's usually quite welcome. Sounds like the timing was good for you this round and how perfect that you were headed to Kidani as with that much in leftovers, you'd want them!

Glad you enjoyed the food so much. Seems like all the drinks are bottomless, we had bottomless cocoa and juices at breakfast and I know that cocoa (complete with whipped cream and sprinkles) filled people up.

Ooh an icon! I can't wait to see who you met!

The Judging Committee emerged at about midnight last night from their sequestered adjudicating room (which they call the "Ad-JUDY-cating Room" -- they do have a sense of humor despite being really serious most of the time) with their decision for this round's points:
That's pretty funny, but it does sound a little obscene!
Half of this round's points to Magdalene for being the first with the answer of obvious Judy's. (The "reasonable person" test. No offense Marv, it's a legal term.)
Oh, so now you can earn points for being the first to give an INCORRECT response??? Arrrrr, me thinks you need to go back and re-score some of the earlier rounds if that be the case, me hearty! pirate:
The remaining points are split between Tanya, who responded with the correct number including minute pieces of Judy's, and Marv who correctly identified where those minute pieces appeared in the pictures.
:sad2:
Following their pronouncement, the committee ran to the locker room to change and immediately left the stadium by police escort.
It's a darn good thing, them bunch of cowards!!! :badpc:

first nice to redeem yourself marv on the previous update...

and enjoyed the back and forth with you and glenn

nice update glenn, i do have to ask thought what did you think of the briscuit? i thought it was very good i really enjoyed the seasoning on the chicken...but i thought the briscuit was better

the lady did tell us that that chicken is exactly the same kind that is served at the mickey backyard BBQ at fort wilderness.

Hey Trib, I noticed you didn't pick a picture that had Glenn in it when you said that.......:rolleyes1

His pics and report on WCC makes me even more anxious to try it on our upcoming trip for sure!

(BTW, he does have a beautiful family, and a super nice one to boot! Just don't tell him I said so!!!) ;)

You might be better off -- the game is getting intense!

Interesting that you used the word "catsup"....I've wondered about that -- is that an English word that we've Americanized to "ketchup"?

Hey, I never said that it was too much food, just that I was very full. :rotfl2: Well, thinking back how there was so much that I never officially got "seconds", I guess it was too much.

Great update! Very weird about the ketchup, they did it at breakfast!

I'm beginning to think that maybe Jeffro didn't like me, since I was a tourist who took pictures of my food.

I think my challenge with WCC would be doing it at lunch period, just too much food for lunch. Sounds like the timing was good for you this round and how perfect that you were headed to Kidani as with that much in leftovers, you'd want them!

We also had Biergarten for lunch earlier in the trip, so I threw in a couple of big lunches, but light dinners afterwards. Yes, the timing for this one worked out. Good planning, I'd say!

Glad you enjoyed the food so much. Seems like all the drinks are bottomless, we had bottomless cocoa and juices at breakfast and I know that cocoa (complete with whipped cream and sprinkles) filled people up.

I didn't realize that cocoa and juices at breakfast were also. They know exactly what they're doing with the bottomless drinks. I'm kind of surprised that they don't do it at more places.

Ooh an icon! I can't wait to see who you met!

Me either. popcorn::

They have a sick sense of humor, those guys.

That's funny. They said that they got the same response after they ref'd yesterday's Pittsburgh vs. Miami football game.

Marv loves to banter.

Brisket? What brisket?

Oh, I just looked at allears.net....apparently that's included in the dinner skillet, but not lunch. Holy cow, that'd be a lot of food!

That's interesting that the chicken's the same as the backyard BBQ. Makes sense.

I stopped short of calling it a "must do" because of the time away from the parks, but if you can work it in, it's worth a try.

Hey Trib, I noticed you didn't pick a picture that had Glenn in it when you said that.......:rolleyes1

Now which picture could he have picked?! I've got a feeling that the only picture to show my newly-conditioned hair will be my self-portrait when exiting Space Mountain. I suppose I could look at the pictures coming up, couldn't I?

His pics and report on WCC makes me even more anxious to try it on our upcoming trip for sure!

Now that I see that there's a difference between lunch and dinner, which are you thinking of?

(BTW, he does have a beautiful family, and a super nice one to boot! Just don't tell him I said so!!!) ;)

Don't worry, Tribilín can keep a secret. :ssst:

Now that I see that there's a difference between lunch and dinner, which are you thinking of?

Not necessarily. When Mark and I went it was for dinner at 5:30 at night and there was NO KETCHUP, no straw action, no Fork, etc. It was dead in the place. It really comes down to the servers on any particular day is what I have heard.

Oops, I wasn't very clear on what I meant. The skillet has a few additional things at dinnertime that aren't included at lunch, like beef brisket and pulled pork. I can't imagine having more than what I got at lunchtime!

Oh, I see. I thought you were talking about the "lack" of the ketchup. Maybe I shouldn't skim.....

Oh, I am honored that I get half a point for being a reasonable person! I think I am, at least I hope so for my "clients"!! :scared1:

But Marv, I am impressed that you found the third Judy. :thumbsup2

I actually saw the update on my phone, hence the very brief reply without any comments which will follow now:

I am just in the process of writing our WCC dinner review - to be posted shortly on my TR! So it was fun to compare notes and I would say that we had a very similar experience. But we did not get the tourist comment - I think that was pretty funny!! :lmao:

And I am sure that "catsup" is just some weired invention to fool foreigners who try to learn English and make them feel humble... Like the word "gaol" - how was I ever supposed to have any idea that it is pronounced like "jail" and means the same (and just to make this clear, I came across this because in London I lived close to (but not in!) the Pentonville Gaol/Jail). Or the silent "P" in pneumonia.... :sad2:

Interesting that you used the word "catsup"....I've wondered about that -- is that an English word that we've Americanized to "ketchup"?
I have always been told that the difference in the two was catsup is typically more spicey/tomatoey, while ketchup is actually sweeter. Catsup is also the more commonly used word/pronunciation in the south.
That's funny. They said that they got the same response after they ref'd yesterday's Pittsburgh vs. Miami football game.
I think that same group had to hurry off to ref the Green Bay v. Minnesota game last night too with that TD call in the first half for Green Bay. :sad2:

There are any number of photopass pictures somewhere in one of your PTR/TRs I'm sure.
Now that I see that there's a difference between lunch and dinner, which are you thinking of?

What a relief on Trib being able to keep a secret! I didn't want you to know I said that...... :rolleyes1

I knew what you meant. You just have to paint some people a picture I guess! :rotfl2:

We plan to do the DDP this trip, so pretty much all of my ADRs are for dinner so we get more of our money's worth. :thumbsup2 They are early enough that we can take a break, relax and eat, and still make it back in the parks for some evening entertainment and use up some collected FP sets! :woohoo:

Glennbo!

What up brutha! I got to enjoy two episodes this time around.

So you're one of those crazy people who jog at Disney. Well, I reckon everybody has to have their vice.

That's awesome that you got James on SM! I'm glad to hear he loved it. Score 1 for reverse pschology.

I'm still pondering the tree streamers.

Love all the photos as always.

And I'm glad to hear you enjoyed WCC. The chicken was my favorite thing in the skillet so I'm happy to know I'm in good compay. (Even it's a Disney jogger.) My mom was down last May and they had terrible food and service at WCC. I hoped it was a fluke and blamed the sesonal staff turnovers with the college program. It's good to know they are back in the normal swing of it. Even if they didn't bring you ketchup. Maybe he was tryin to avoid cluttering up your "studio" with extraneous glass ware. (DED over the photo comment BTW...I've often wondered if the CM's are aware of why so many people feel compelled to capture an image of their dish.)

Looking forward to more!

OH and thanks for the link to SurfinTX's DLR report. I've been on the DIS quite a bit of late, but all of my time has been devoted to the DLR planning boards. NOT that I'm announcing anything. But if I were, which I'm not, it would probaly come in a couple of months. Which is not an announcement BTW or a pre-announcement. In any official capcity. But I will be reading his TR with a newfound interest.

I'm beginning to think that maybe Jeffro didn't like me, since I was a tourist who took pictures of my food.

I don't like you, either. You just watch yourself. I have the death sentence in 12 systems. :darth:

Whoops, sorry about that. I do like you, Glenn. I just kinda had a knee-jerk reaction there when I read that sentence.

That's funny. They said that they got the same response after they ref'd yesterday's Pittsburgh vs. Miami football game.

Hmm. Were they the same refs in the Pittsburgh/Seattle Super Bowl? I'm starting to see a pattern here.

Oops, I wasn't very clear on what I meant. The skillet has a few additional things at dinnertime that aren't included at lunch, like beef brisket and pulled pork. I can't imagine having more than what I got at lunchtime!

The brisket and pulled pork were both very good. I focused a little more on the negative in my TR, but for the most part it was good stuff. Maybe adding the extra food causes them to lose focus on the ribs? :confused3

I have always been told that the difference in the two was catsup is typically more spicey/tomatoey, while ketchup is actually sweeter. Catsup is also the more commonly used word/pronunciation in the south.

Ever see that Simpsons episode where they tour the Duff Brewery, and they show the 3 valves for Duff, Duff Lite and Duff Dry coming from the same vat? I'm picturing the same thing here. :rotfl2:

Oh, I am honored that I get half a point for being a reasonable person! I think I am, at least I hope so for my "clients"!! :scared1:

Not just half a point, but half of ALL of the points for this round. So that's saying something. ::yes:: Good job, your honor.

I actually saw the update on my phone, hence the very brief reply without any comments which will follow now:

Wow, lots of WCC reviews going up recently -- tingurl, Captain Oblivious, mine, and yours soon.

And I am sure that "catsup" is just some weired invention to fool foreigners who try to learn English and make them feel humble... FauntleroyFan07's ancestors were heavily involved in the spelling of some of our words.

Could be...I have no idea.

I think that same group had to hurry off to ref the Green Bay v. Minnesota game last night too with that TD call in the first half for Green Bay. :sad2:

No, no...that was a touchdown all the way! That that extremely talented tight end from Penn State made. :rolleyes1

I knew what you meant. You just have to paint some people a picture I guess! :rotfl2:

Skimmers! Sheesh.

We plan to do the DDP this trip, so pretty much all of my ADRs are for dinner so we get more of our money's worth. :thumbsup2 They are early enough that we can take a break, relax and eat, and still make it back in the parks for some evening entertainment and use up some collected FP sets! :woohoo:

Oh yeah, being on the dining plan brings a whole different element to it. Dinner's probably the way to go, in that case.

Glennbo!

What up brutha! I got to enjoy two episodes this time around.

Biscuit!

So you're one of those crazy people who jog at Disney. Well, I reckon everybody has to have their vice.

Well, I'm not making it a habit....just wanted to try out that path. I'm done now, and it probably won't happen again.

That's awesome that you got James on SM! I'm glad to hear he loved it. Score 1 for reverse pschology.

I'm still pondering the tree streamers.

Love all the photos as always.

I knew he'd love it if we could just get him on. We still have a few tricks up our sleeves, or should I say, a few more trial-and-error ideas to test.

Kathy (ie. KatMark) said that the tree streamers were from an early-morning show at the castle.

Thank you sir.

And I'm glad to hear you enjoyed WCC. The chicken was my favorite thing in the skillet so I'm happy to know I'm in good compay. (Even it's a Disney jogger.) I thought that chicken was great. I didn't realize that it was your favorite item from the skillet or I would've gone in with big expectations.

I've heard a couple of less-than-favorable reports on WCC, so "inconsistent" is maybe the term to use. We enjoyed our meal though, that's all I can say.

Looking forward to more!

Great!

Very cryptic, but I like what I'm reading between the lines. Let me know when/if a pre-announcement comes out.

I don't like you, either. You just watch yourself. I have the death sentence in 12 systems. :darth:

I'll be careful.

Whoops, sorry about that. I do like you, Glenn. I just kinda had a knee-jerk reaction there when I read that sentence.

Completely understandable.

Hmm. Were they the same refs in the Pittsburgh/Seattle Super Bowl? I'm starting to see a pattern here.

Ooo, can't speak to that one.

The brisket and pulled pork were both very good. I focused a little more on the negative in my TR, but for the most part it was good stuff. Maybe adding the extra food causes them to lose focus on the ribs? :confused3

Yeah, maybe the rib guy got a little sidetracked. Our ribs were good. I just didn't expect the chicken to be so good.

Ever see that Simpsons episode where they tour the Duff Brewery, and they show the 3 valves for Duff, Duff Lite and Duff Dry coming from the same vat? I'm picturing the same thing here. :rotfl2:

No, but that sounds hilarious. I wouldn't doubt it for a second.

I always thought people called it ketchup instead of catsup because of how the word sounded  how strange!
I've known it as catsup all my life!

great update! I never made it to that lodge. Maybe next time. The food looks really good. I could never drink a milk shake and then have to eat and I would be upset if it was all you can eat.

Your lunch looked so fun at WCC- antics or no. Good food makes up for almost anything.

Yes, resort lunches take forever- especially when park time is beckoning you back.

Well you are in the south. Deep south.

We enjoyed it.

Yes, they can take a while. Fortunately, the park wasn't beckoning us on this particular afternoon.

Yeah, break time, then back in the parks for some riding in the dark, which also brings a whole new perspective than we normally get. Plus all of the Christmas decorations will be lit up. :thumbsup2
