The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

The Judging Committee emerged at about midnight last night from their sequestered adjudicating room (which they call the "Ad-JUDY-cating Room" -- they do have a sense of humor despite being really serious most of the time) with their decision for this round's points:

Half of this round's points to Magdalene for being the first with the answer of obvious Judy's. (The "reasonable person" test. No offense Marv, it's a legal term.)

The remaining points are split between Tanya, who responded with the correct number including minute pieces of Judy's, and Marv who correctly identified where those minute pieces appeared in the pictures.

You are correct Marv, the committee could not determine the owner of the arm that appears in the cornbread picture and was ruled it "inconclusive".

Following their pronouncement, the committee ran to the locker room to change and immediately left the stadium by police escort.

I feel almost guiltiy accepting points.....even after seeing Marv's description of where the 4th Judy is - I just don't see it:confused3. Now - if you are paying off points in that cornbread (especially if it's fresh and warm with butter) - I will fight for every crumb :thumbsup2

Brisket? What brisket?

Oh, I just looked at allears.net....apparently that's included in the dinner skillet, but not lunch. Holy cow, that'd be a lot of food!

That's interesting that the chicken's the same as the backyard BBQ. Makes sense.

Oops, I wasn't very clear on what I meant. The skillet has a few additional things at dinnertime that aren't included at lunch, like beef brisket and pulled pork. I can't imagine having more than what I got at lunchtime!

huh, didnt realize that they have different menus at the meals...i would rank the meat in this order...

brisket
chicken
pulled pork (with extra of the BBQ sauce pored over top)
then the ribs (wasnt really a fan of them thought they were kinda fatty)

The brisket was Tracy's favorite as well.

I liked it, but after eating at Rudy's and the Salt Lick, it's hard to find a brisket that compares.

Pulled pork was new to me. They don't offer that particular brand of BBQ in these parts. It was good though and I think it'd be perfect as a sandwich.

I just rechecked my TR and my ranking was:
Chicken
Pulled Pork
Ribs
Brisket

Tracy' was:
Brisket
Ribs
Chicken
Pulled Pork

You might be better off -- the game is getting intense!

Interesting that you used the word "catsup"....I've wondered about that -- is that an English word that we've Americanized to "ketchup"?
.

Marv loves to banter.

Glen to be honest I don't remember about "catsup" but I do still tend to use english termonology automatically at times so it must be !!!:rotfl2:

Is that what you call what Matv does !!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I was just thinking that I hadn't seen you around lately. Glad you're still checking-in.
It's been crazy lately. DS is now in Cub Scouts, Tae Kwon Do and is also taking Hip-Hop lessons. :rolleyes1 He's having fun with it. I do have good news today....DS made Honor Roll!!! His first report card with "real" grades. Anyhoo...I'm thinking late Sunday afternoons or evenings is my Dis time. The last couple of times I've been able to post has been during those times on that day. Can't wait for the week off during Thanksgiving!! I'm going to be all over these boards! :thumbsup2

Yes, it was worded a little strangely, but I definitely knew what he was talking about!

:rotfl2:Yes, I remember the feeling. Me no likey!!

I think (and other people have posted this also) that BTMRR is a great transitional rollercoaster. It's a little thrilling, but not real scary. So, if you can get your son on it, which may be another matter altogether, he'll probably love it and be on his way to trying more thrill rides.

That's what I was thinking! I will do everything in my power to get him on it next trip. The fact that he has brought it up all by himself in conversation is a good first step. We have until June to work on him and watch you tube videos. :thumbsup2

It's a lot of fun to meet people in person that you've talked with on the DIS. I have one more DISmeet coming up on this trip, and those people were really great too. ;)

Yes it is! You did?? Really?? Oh I'd love to hear all about this. ;)
Yeah, no big ketchup hoopla. What're you going to do?

True. Honestly, I don't even know what they do. I just know you end up with a LOT of ketchup.

:yay:

:yay:

As long as you've worked up an appetite, I recommend it.

Well, the pics looked good for sure!

Are we ranking meats?? Wow!! That just happens to be my second favorite pastime - right after shopping in fabric stores.

Pulled pork outranks ANY meat. Period!!
Brisket is good, but Ribs, well, ok, anything with a tangy sauce on it, outranks that. Chicken comes in dead last.

Brisket would be my first choice ., followed by chicken, then pulled pork ribs last as I am not a huge fan of ribs !!

/
That would really be funny if it wasn't so believeable! :rotfl2:

Especially for "gaol".

Yeah, almost as bad as those clowns who just look at the pictures and never read the in-between stuff! :sad2:

Yeah, who does that?!

Yeah, break time, then back in the parks for some riding in the dark, which also brings a whole new perspective than we normally get. Plus all of the Christmas decorations will be lit up. :thumbsup2

It's gonna be great!

If you knew how much these points are worth, you probably wouldn't feel so guilty. :rolleyes1

Man, you're making me wish I'd been able to try that brisket. Mmmmm.

The brisket was Tracy's favorite as well.

:rotfl2: You and Tracy are almost exactly the opposite!

I'm surprised that pulled pork was new to you, but I guess beef is the thing in Texas.

We have a stand that opened up last year, well it's really just a trailer by the side of the road that's there a few days a week, called "Belly Rubbin' Barbecue" and it's pretty good. Of course, they don't have a lot of competition around these parts.

Is that what you call what Matv does !!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Well, that's the nice term.

It's been crazy lately. DS is now in Cub Scouts, Tae Kwon Do and is also taking Hip-Hop lessons. He's having fun with it. I do have good news today....DS made Honor Roll!!! His first report card with "real" grades.

I didn't even know you could take Hip-Hop lessons! Good for him and :yay: for the honor roll. (And good for you too, I know you're super-involved.)

Anyhoo...I'm thinking late Sunday afternoons or evenings is my Dis time. The last couple of times I've been able to post has been during those times on that day. Can't wait for the week off during Thanksgiving!! I'm going to be all over these boards!

Squeeze in here whenever you can, but I'll look for you on Sundays and over Thanksgiving.

Yes, it was worded a little strangely, but I definitely knew what he was talking about!

Yes, I remember the feeling. Me no likey!!

It was kinda gross, wasn't it. But it made for some really enjoyable pool time.

That's what I was thinking! I will do everything in my power to get him on it next trip. The fact that he has brought it up all by himself in conversation is a good first step. We have until June to work on him and watch you tube videos.

I have a feeling he's going to be all over it. I'd recommend not playing it up toooo much or he may think it's something he should be afraid of.

Yes it is! You did?? Really?? Oh I'd love to hear all about this.

You're just going to have to wait....this happened back in June, and it's still only October. It's not "late" until next June. :rotfl:

Yeah, no big ketchup hoopla. What're you going to do?

True. Honestly, I don't even know what they do. I just know you end up with a LOT of ketchup.

Well, the pics looked good for sure!

From what I've read they yell to the whole restaurant that you need ketchup and then someone from every table brings their ketchup bottle to you, so you end up with like 30-something ketchup bottles.

Are we ranking meats?? Wow!! That just happens to be my second favorite pastime - right after shopping in fabric stores.

You have tried some different ones (horse comes to mind), so you might be an authority.

Pulled pork outranks ANY meat. Period!!
Brisket is good, but Ribs, well, ok, anything with a tangy sauce on it, outranks that. Chicken comes in dead last.

I could go along with that ranking. And I would agree with putting chicken on the bottom, in most cases....but that's why I was so shocked by the chicken at WCC -- it was guuud. I flew past the ribs, but unfortunately I couldn't compare it to their pulled pork and brisket, being the lunch hour.

Brisket would be my first choice ., followed by chicken, then pulled pork ribs last as I am not a huge fan of ribs !!

We had some ribs this past weekend from that Belly Rubbin' place I mentioned to Great Biscuit, and the meat literally fell off the bone. So, like everything, it probably depends on who made them.

I would always go for ribs. Pulled pork comes after cause it's more portable. I've only had Asian brisket, never BBQ brisket.

I LOVED the cornbread at WCC. I think I had 3 baskets. I was very happy that they let us pack up the food we couldn't finish! I thought we weren't allowed to cause the skillet was all-you-can-eat.

Are we ranking meats?? Wow!! That just happens to be my second favorite pastime - right after shopping in fabric stores.
Dang skippy! Tomorrow we'll be ranking restaurants that produce the best post-dinner belches. And of course if you start down the road of gaseous rankings, well you can't stop till you reach the next exit.

Pulled pork outranks ANY meat. Period!!
Brisket is good, but Ribs, well, ok, anything with a tangy sauce on it, outranks that. Chicken comes in dead last.
In any other circumstance I would tend to agree. Chicken is typically last on my list. But at WCC, the combo of spices and super juicy meat catapolted it to the top.

Around here, BBQ and brisket are used inter-changebly. The two main staples of Texas BBQ are brisket and smoked sausage. Nobody has pulled pork that I've ever seen.

Belly rubbin BBQ. Now you just KNOW that's gonna be good!

I have! Goat, sheep, you name it... Camel I still have yet to sample...

It's the sauce that makes the meat- except with pork, which is just plain ole a better kind of flesh. Maybe cuz it's greasier?? And goes better with beans. Which is the other obvious pairing.

I'm definitely a tourist at Disney! :cool1:

We've eaten at WCC twice and we really like it there. Can't believe Jeffro just brought you guys the ketchup. :confused3

Pulled pork was new to me. They don't offer that particular brand of BBQ in these parts. It was good though and I think it'd be perfect as a sandwich.
pulled pork with a really good homemade BBQ sauce is awesome.

we just made some with some new jim bean sauce flavors i mixed with my own stuff realy really good.

Man, you're making me wish I'd been able to try that brisket. Mmmmm.
sounds like you might have to schedule another trip there at dinner time.
:thumbsup2

I would always go for ribs. Pulled pork comes after cause it's more portable. I've only had Asian brisket, never BBQ brisket.

This is the first time I've seen "portability" as a judging criterion, but I can go with it. For example, I've driven while eating a Taco Bell taco, and while there was no adverse outcome in that instance, I don't recommend it and don't think I'd attempt it again.

I LOVED the cornbread at WCC. I think I had 3 baskets. I was very happy that they let us pack up the food we couldn't finish! I thought we weren't allowed to cause the skillet was all-you-can-eat.

You're right, it was good and I probably didn't stress that enough in my TR write-up. However, my favorite bread at Disney is still the bread they serve at Kona Cafe.

Dang skippy! Tomorrow we'll be ranking restaurants that produce the best post-dinner belches. And of course if you start down the road of gaseous rankings, well you can't stop till you reach the next exit.

That would be the logical conclusion. Have we ever talked about these things before?

In any other circumstance I would tend to agree. Chicken is typically last on my list. But at WCC, the combo of spices and super juicy meat catapolted it to the top.

I am in such agreement with you, it isn't even funny. I'm going to have to go back and look at your WCC review, I don't remember it but wow, we are eye to eye.

Around here, BBQ and brisket are used inter-changebly. The two main staples of Texas BBQ are brisket and smoked sausage. Nobody has pulled pork that I've ever seen.

Good to know.

Belly rubbin BBQ. Now you just KNOW that's gonna be good!

It sets the expectations right up front: This is something you're going to want to get fat on.

I have! Goat, sheep, you name it... Camel I still have yet to sample...

But who knows what meat ends up on a shashlik skewer?

It's the sauce that makes the meat- except with pork, which is just plain ole a better kind of flesh. Maybe cuz it's greasier?? And goes better with beans. Which is the other obvious pairing.

I don't know why pork is sooo good, it just is. As Emeril says, "Pork fat rules!"

I'm definitely a tourist at Disney! :cool1:

We've eaten at WCC twice and we really like it there. Can't believe Jeffro just brought you guys the ketchup. :confused3

I'm glad you're with me on that one Carissa.

I about fell over when he walked back with a bottle of ketchup and just put it on the table. Of course I was the only one, because nobody else knew what to expect.

Morning Glen !!!

Afternoon Rosie! It's been quite a day so far, I just got a break to get on here. And this afternoon going to be something else too.

pulled pork with a really good homemade BBQ sauce is awesome.

I must agree.

we just made some with some new jim bean sauce flavors i mixed with my own stuff realy really good.

So, you're a chili and a BBQ sauce expert. Impressive.

sounds like you might have to schedule another trip there at dinner time.
:thumbsup2

That's what I'm starting to think. That's a lot of food though. I wish we could split one skillet.

Hi Glen !!! I have been having the same sorta day !1Had to go to the main office to pick up checks for the Albany trip and then to the bank to catch them !!Wade thru a pile of mail and am resting for a few at home if you call making supper and doing dishes and laundry resting:confused3:lmao:

That's what I'm starting to think. That's a lot of food though. I wish we could split one skillet.
actually i only ate the meats and a little potatoes i didnt like the beans, they were not cooked enough to hard, and the corn wasnt good since im used to good homegrown sweet corn fresh picked from our friends the farmers. ( i know spoiled huh)

thats why i had enough room to put down all those meats.

and ask for seconds
:thumbsup2

Not necessarily. You use enough of the Jim Beam, you don't know (or care) what the sauce tastes like!!! :rotfl:

well the jim bean sauce doesnt have any booze in unless you add it yourself.
:rolleyes1

why didnt i think of that.
:headache:

That would be the logical conclusion. Have we ever talked about these things before?
Knowing this group, it's likely.

But just in case:

My top pick for high-volume belching would be Coit's Rootbeer in Oklahoma City. That place can bring out the thunder like none ever I've ever encountered. My top pick for potent belching would be White Castle. Those onions linger brother.

I am in such agreement with you, it isn't even funny. I'm going to have to go back and look at your WCC review, I don't remember it but wow, we are eye to eye.
Link in siggie - it was Episode 69 part II.
