The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

Such fantastic photos of the Nemo musical! Many thanks for posting them!

Hmmmm, I just read Rosie's post and saw the famous Piglet photo. Love it!

Being a Grandma, I thought I would comment on your contest update so I don't forget what I was going to say before reading about my favorite fish. (not that I have anything earth-shattering to say :rotfl2:) Trying to catch up on everyone - I'm so busy right now, which is good!

You got some interesting photopass pics! Glenn, you do look like your mind is somewhere else in a couple of them! :lmao: Probably trying to count how many Judy's there will be if they keep snapping pics? The kids look so cute - well all of you do! :thumbsup2

That peacock is really funny - "hey, look over here! Hey, I'm talkin' to ya, Hey now do you like my tail???" Boys do the same thing, only with loud burps, wrestling, sports, etc. etc. All the male species are the same, I think! :rotfl2:

Why are the tigers always sleeping? I think they should have midnight Maharajah tours with night vision goggles! :3dglasses

Oh, and congrats to Nosbol on winning the challenge!
Okay, now I can find out about Nemo!

Ok, so I skipped most of the pics from the last 2 posts of Nemo pictures. We still haven't gone to this show either and have vowed that next trip will be THE ONE. :thumbsup2 Anyhoo, I did look at the first few pics which was enough to say that your camera ROCKS!!! The pictures were so clear and the colors are AWESOME.

All last night we sat and discussed how to make another trip to WDW before our Cruise in June. We just can't seem to make it work. For one, it would be out of pocket (we are saving points for when we take DH's sister & her hubby when he comes home from Afghanistan), and 2...we just can't get DH and DS's schedules to work together! We ALMOST booked last night a last minute trip for the week between Christmas & New Years.....yes, THIS CHRISTMAS! Alas, I had to be responsible.....AGAIN and say "no, we shouldn't do this". Have I ever told you how much I despise being "responsible"??? The cheapest we could get the trip was about $2500 for 4 nights. We were looking for under $2000. :confused3 Oh well, that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes I guess.

BAHUMBUG!!!!!

He reads as fast as he types. ;)

It only caught up when he was clicking the pictures wondering why they did not move. :lmao: Love ya Dan.

Yes, we wouldn't tease him if we didn't like him.

:lmao: Why that would be something to be thankful for!

Especially the doughnuts.

Okay, familiar... but I can't place it. A little help?

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

You know, she's right! I never thought about it, but I guess they ARE dressed like the scenery. Judy's so smart that way! :goodvibes

She is!

I think this drindl wood be perfect for Marv !!:rotfl2:Of course he wood need to give the pretty girl a blanket to wear!!!!:worship::rotfl2:

DSCN2813.jpg

Something tells me that she wears it a lot better than he ever could.

Thanks! You're welcome.

That Piglet photo is hilarious. :rotfl2: The poor guy didn't know what hit him.

Thanks. I don't know why I looked like that in some of those. It wasn't the Judy picture thing -- the game hadn't been thought up until after the trip report started.

I know. I wish I could dispute it, but I know it's true!

Why are the tigers always sleeping? I think they should have midnight Maharajah tours with night vision goggles! :3dglasses

You're right, those tigers love to sleep. The trail with night vision goggles would be really cool!

Oh, and congrats to Nosbol on winning the challenge!
Okay, now I can find out about Nemo!

Yep, she did great...and there was quite a flurry of activity when the posts went up.

Ok, so I skipped most of the pics from the last 2 posts of Nemo pictures. First, congrats on your Saints pulling out a last-minute win today. :thumbsup2

Wow, I'm impressed at your will-power and resisting looking at all of the pictures. I think you'll like the show when you see it. Thanks for the compliment on the pictures.

BAHUMBUG!!!!!

Believe me, I know exactly how you feel. I currently do not have a trip planned either. I don't think we'll get back to WDW until 2012. We'd like to see the Grand Canyon, and may do that this summer, but it will probably depend on how the financial situation looks after we get through the end of the year and taxes and everything. The one good thing about skipping WDW in 2011 is we'll have beaucoup points in 2012.....hmmmm, a bigger suite or a longer stay? :scratchin

And how do you know it was a GUY !!!!??????Hey I have to do a lot to top that one !!:rotfl2:

I agree The gal looks better in the drindl than Marv ever wood !!!:lmao:

Oh I love the Nemo pics!:thumbsup2 You got some great shots with no flash. I need a better indoor camera for sure! I love how the puppeteers make the same expressions and body language as their characters - it helps create the story!
We will have to break down and see this one next time - we've skipped it because we thought it would be dumb, but have enjoyed similar things since then, so I think we would love this show!

While I think that the Gran Canyon is a wonderful destination for a family trip :thumbsup2 (I really want to see it myself as well!), I am very sad to hear that this TR will not be followed by a Glennbo PTR! :sad1:

I would go for the longer trip with your points, I loved my 10 day trips! :goodvibes But I can see that for a family of five a 2-bedroom-villa would have a lot appeal as well. Especially since this would enable to you to try other resorts as well (if you are at all interested in that...). Difficult decission... But you still have a few months before your booking window opens! :goodvibes

Good point, I shouldn't assume.

Don't feel like you have to top it Rosie...if you did, I'm not sure we could handle it. :rotfl2:

::yes::

Thanks Tammie. Yes, the puppeteers really act it out. That's probably an interesting gig for an actor.

We will have to break down and see this one next time - we've skipped it because we thought it would be dumb, but have enjoyed similar things since then, so I think we would love this show!

Oh, you should see it at least once. I think you'd like it.

While I think that the Gran Canyon is a wonderful destination for a family trip :thumbsup2 (I really want to see it myself as well!), I am very sad to hear that this TR will not be followed by a Glennbo PTR! :sad1:

Time will tell regarding that possible trip. Yes, unfortunately there are no plans for a PTR following this.

I think I'm leaning toward a longer trip too, but as you point out I've got plenty of time to decide on that!

The Grand Canyon would be well worth the trip! My wife and I honeymooned there, and then re-created the trip for our 10th anniversary a couple of years ago. If you need any tips on places to stay, sightseeing spots to check out, etc., just let me know. You can stay inside the park itself at a reasonable rate, but I'd recommend making the reservations now if you haven't done so already (They charge your credit card for the room right away, but I believe you can cancel with no penalty, if I recall correctly).

I wanna see it !!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
Admit it Rosie, you want to experience my spoon dance firsthand!!! ;)
I think I sense a dare. Bring on the TR theme pictures. :cool1:
Pat, do you REALLY think I can be swayed by a dare???
Well if Rosie got a picture I'd probably have to look....or more like peek through my fingers, covering my eyes.
That reminds me of something one of my girlfriend's mom would always say. When we kissed, she would cover one eye and say "I'm a Christian....I'll risk one eye!" :rotfl:
Here's an adoring fan for you Marv!
Well, I guess everybody has to start somewhere....... :rolleyes1
C'mon Marv. Either a spoon dance or a dirndl.
Spoon dance maybe, dirndl.......no way in Helsinki!
He reads as fast as he types. ;)
And apparently as accurately!!! :rotfl2:
I think this drindl wood be perfect for Marv !!:rotfl2:Of course he wood need to give the pretty girl a blanket to wear!!!!:worship::rotfl2:

Okay, so maybe if she takes it off and hands it to me......... :rolleyes1
Yes, we wouldn't tease him if we didn't like him.
Oh yes we would....but thankfully we don't have to!!! :)
Something tells me that she wears it a lot better than he ever could.
Well, it does look a little small for me..... ;)
I agree The gal looks better in the drindl than Marv ever wood !!!:lmao:
She looks a lot better in it than a LOT of people wood!!! :goodvibes

Yes, "almost" was an important word there. So many pictures, it's almost a video.
especially with marv around you have to be carefull and read each word of the posts.

I agree but the price I could get for tickets to that wood be astronomical !!!:rotfl2:

Glen I went to Grand Canyon years ago and it is beautiful !!If Disney was in Arizona I'd move !!!! Love that state !!!

My family visited the Grand Canyon 3 years ago and it was absolutely breathtaking. I was looking out at it from the visitors centre, and it just looked like a large panoramic photo on the wall, but it was REAL!!!

The west side of the canyon has a see through bridge you can walk out on. Getting there is tough cause most of the road is unpaved. We even lost a tire on our way back, but it's definitely worth it.

Oh, how beautiful!! :cloud9: And a compliment to the photographer as well! :thumbsup2

Thanks Magdalene! Once again, the photographer was my wife. :thumbsup2 We stood at this one spot and took a picture every few minutes as the sun set, so we could watch the shadows creep up the face of the cliffs.

The pictures really don't do the Canyon justice.

Beautiful picture!

Thanks for the offer of some tips, I'll take you up on it. PM sent. :)

Pat, do you REALLY think I can be swayed by a dare???

I don't know about Pat, but I think there's a chance it'd work.

That reminds me of something one of my girlfriend's mom would always say. When we kissed, she would cover one eye and say "I'm a Christian....I'll risk one eye!" :rotfl:

I wonder she watched TV?

Well, I guess everybody has to start somewhere....... :rolleyes1

That's a good start.

Spoon dance maybe, dirndl.......no way in Helsinki!

We're probably all better off.

Okay, so maybe if she takes it off and hands it to me......... :rolleyes1

But only risk one eye!

Well, it does look a little small for me..... ;)

Agreed!

especially with marv around you have to be carefull and read each word of the posts.

There's no slack offered around here.

Oh, how beautiful!! :cloud9: And a compliment to the photographer as well! :thumbsup2

Okay, the idea has Rosie's seal of approval.

And Yuki's seal of approval.

I was there when I was about 5, but don't remember too much about it.

Thanks Magdalene! Once again, the photographer was my wife. :thumbsup2 We stood at this one spot and took a picture every few minutes as the sun set, so we could watch the shadows creep up the face of the cliffs.

The pictures really don't do the Canyon justice.

I thought that maybe your wife took the picture. She's a very good photographer.

Finally back to the Land of the Posting. Great to be greeted with pictures of the Grandest of Canyons. It IS so pretty!! I used to work and go to school about an hour away from there, so would visit often to watch thunderstorms over the canyon walls. It's also VERY nice with snow around it! :thumbsup2

Yes Glen the much coverted Rosie Seal of Approval goes to The Grand Canyon!!!:cloud9:

Also Marv Spoon Dancing gets the Seal!!!!:rotfl2:

Beautiful picture!

Thanks for the offer of some tips, I'll take you up on it. PM sent. :)

Hopefully there was something useful in that info dump I sent. :faint:

I thought that maybe your wife took the picture. She's a very good photographer.

I don't know whether to be proud of my wife or insulted that you don't think I could take a good picture like that. :rotfl2:

Anyway, thanks. I will pass on your compliments to the photographer.
