The method for getting a PIN worked for me and many others!!! YMMV

Tomorrow will be one week since I created two itineraries, one stating I needed accommodations and one saying I'll be staying offsite. Still nothing. I fear I may be among the blacklisted... :sad2: If nothing materializes by Friday maybe I'll try deleting them and/or starting over.

I am helping two WDW first-timers plan their trips. Neither has booked yet, and yesterday I had them create their Disney accounts and itineraries using "the method." I hope I didn't get their hopes up too much. :rolleyes1 But given they've never been in Disney's system, it's GOT to work for at least one of them! Right?! C'mon pixie dust!

Have you done anything since a week ago? After I created my itineraries, I played and futzed with them every day, and eventually triggered a PIN.

Thank you all who have made suggestions. On Monday night I cleared out my itinerary from last year and made 2 new ones. One for next month and one for sept stating I was staying off-site and for both and rec'd a PIN for 20/30/40 today. It's greatly appreciated :worship:

I totally agree with MousePrincess ......... 'Thank You' to all who have made the suggestions on how to get a PIN number!

My family and I have been vacationing at WDW once or twice a year every year since 1973 and last year we were fortunate to visit four times. Most every trip we have always stayed on property at a Disney Resort Hotel or at Disney's Fort Wilderness Camping Resort. During all of those trips I can't ever remember receiving a PIN number! During many of our Disney trips we have been lucky enough to be able to get the 'AAA' discount applied to our room rate or campsite rate which has been 10%, 15% or the largest discount of 20%.

I have emailed Disney and also called Disney several times and ask 'How' can we be put on the list to receive PIN numbers! With all of our visits and also all of my emails and phone calls it never helped!

After reading this thread last night on the 'Disboards' I did the things that are listed and this morning I updated some of that information. Sure enough, this afternoon around 4:00pm I received our first PIN number ever in over 37+ years of vacation at Walt Disney World!

Thank You .... Thank You .... Thank You!!!

It does work!!!

It took exactly one week to receive one of mine. I got another in another account I created and that one came in 1 day??? Dont give up!

(Also, I only got them in my yahoo accounts. I got ZERO in my 4 comcast accounts!)

I know this is a silly question, but Im not sure how to cancel a saved vacation package? I am trying to get a pin and I have read here that if you delete your saved package, it may up your chances of getting a pin. So can anyone explain to me how to delete it? I know silly question, Im sure its right in front of me and Im just skipping over it. lol

whats the shortest it took to recieve the email? What has been the longest? Just so I know what i'm working with here ;)

Hello julluvsdisney ......... I keyed in my information last night and made a few changes this morning and I received my PIN number at around 4:00pm this afternoon.

Thanks, I really appreciate the information on how to receive a PIN!

"Good Luck" to everyone that are still waiting for their email PIN!

I'll try that, thanks!

Now that's weird about the Comcast vs. Yahoo! I just today created a Yahoo account for myself - my usual email is Verizon. Made up some new itineraries using the new email profile. I'll be sure to update if I have any luck!

Congrats to everyone for whom this has worked! :woohoo:

Yeah I'm stupid. So in one itinerary I put in that we did need accomodations and in the other I put in that we did not need accomodations and there was a drop down menu where I chose 'staying offsite'. However, I don't get a popup nor do I see the Day Planner where you can edit accomodations. Is it necessary to do that or should I just leave my itineraries where they are? Is it in the plan which park you'll be at every day section thingy where I edit accomodations?? And then I should have put I need accomodations for both and then choose offsite in the Day Planner? On Saturday I thought I understood this, but now I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing :rotfl:

I actually don't think that there is any set formula, I have 6 accounts now, all different things I have tried, except waiting, it is not my ' forte'....!!! I think if you keep playing around with it, you'll figure it out, the idea is that the online activity on my dis vac, is what seems to be triggering it. Iam going to create one last account at work with the friends we travel with and see what may come. I was going berserk today... Last few days, so I logged out of everything all day long and took a big break!!!!
Tomorrow is another day...... Hoping and praying for some Disney love!
Good luck to you, keep me posted!

Thanks for the advice. I'm trying to leave a few days in between each attempt because I'm sure I heard somewhere on one of these threads that staying off the Disney site for a few days helped...somewhere I read a lot of things :lmao:

I just have limited internet connectivity in this country and the Disney site takes up a lot of bandwidth, of course. Next I'm sure I'll be creating new emails but I can't decide yet whether I should use an old address so that they really might not know it's me or just use the same address for a new email. :surfweb:

Thanks again

I created an itinerary yesterday, and lo and behold. I got a promo email from disney today. I entered other - non disney hotel in the accomodations. Unfortunatley it's not for the timeframe of my itinerary........

I took the advice floating around the board and created itineraries stated that I would NOT be staying at a Dsiney resort and I got the 20/30/40 all year PIN! Now I can book for my F&W trip for October and stay deluxe!

I know it was because of the itineraries because the email started with the following verbiage:

We’re delighted you’ve been making plans online with My Disney Vacation! Since you’re still looking for accommodations, we invite you to explore total Disney magic with a Disney Resort stay at a great rate. It’s a wonderful way for you and your little one to experience our wonderland of nonstop Disney enchantment 24 hours a day—plus the benefits of staying at a select Walt Disney World® Resort hotel! Start exploring now.

Iam so excited. :cheer2::cheer2: All these years & never a pin to be had. It was in my e-mail when I checked it at work today. I confess, I let out a VERY loud squeal :rotfl: My husband thought something terrible happened.

We were booked for a bounceback @ GF, but business hasn't been that great this year, so we decided to head back to CBR. We love it there, & hey, it's still a great Disney vacation, but have wanted to try a monorail resort for a couple of years. Now with the pin we're going to book Poly.:banana: THANKS!!!!!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I just got my first pin code using this method. Signed up with a new email, made an itinerary, said I was staying off of Disney property, and got the 20/30/40 pin in 3 days via email! Very exciting. I'm planning a trip with a group of friends for once we take step 1 of the med school boards this summer, so I hope this helps out. Thanks for posting this!

That's so funny...before reading this, I created a Yahoo account yesterday and created an itinerary in DH's name. I will keep you all posted if and when I get a PIN code in my Yahoo e-mail ;)

okay saved an iteniary with a non disney hotel. Plus I have a few offers saved for 2 different Disney hotels. Should I delete the saved Disney hotels? How many days do you think it usually takes to send the PIN?

Did you get anything yet?

Did you get anything yet?

Did you get anything yet? I'm still waiting. I broke down today and created a new Disney account with my never-used gmail email. I then got an email from Disney to the gmail account saying the usual 'Welcome' and it said to update my profile to receive special offers...Should I put in my address?? Or just put in the things that they have to know, you think? Sigh, another day, another headache :rotfl:

Just keep on trying .... :goodvibespixiedust:

Haha I'm impatient too. ;) I just keep thinking, look at all these people who got pins, surely surely I will get one too, especially if I create five million email accounts and mess on the Disney site daily :lmao: I think we should all get one for even knowing and obsessing about this...

Did you try creating one of your 4,126, 201 accounts with a US address? I would try that and if you get a pin, call and say you moved! Your name and DOB will still match.

Seriously? Has anyone done this and had it work? I would be feeling queasy if I got a PIN using a US address and then calling to actually book with that PIN. I'm not good with confrontation
