The method for getting a PIN worked for me and many others!!! YMMV

I tried what this post suggests on Saturday and I got a pin yesterday at noon! 40% off my stay in November. I called and saved $1100!! I hope this works for everyone else that is doing it.:cool1:

I tried this using my email account, my dh's and even created one for my Dad!! :confused3

Waiting, waiting, just keep on waiting!! :surfweb::rotfl:

I also took the advice and created itineraries stating that I would be staying off property. Just received the 20-30-40 pin code in my e-mail, it took a few days but it finally arrived. Also, received a free counter service dining pin code in the mail about a week ago. Fingers crossed that this is the start of receiving pin codes regularly.

Not sure if this was based on geographic location but I am in NYC.

worked for me too. Just got my pin at 12: 00 Have not got pin in years. I cancelled all my saved trips and did an itenerary for November saying staying at non-disney hotel. I am an AP holder and currently have 2 trips booked for June and Sept. have one discounted with AP one not. WOuld like to go back right before thanksgiving.

I just got the 20 30 40 pin.....

WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

It looks like Wilderness Lodge Bunk Beds here we come !!!!!:cool1:

Thanks to all that provided the information about how to do this.:worship: I assume you will need to stay on your toes as it will change.....

Thanks again !!!

Go DIS Go!!! In the two years I've been one these boards, I've never seen this many pins given out... WDW must really need the money!

OK...I am knew to this board and I was skimming through and probably missed this, but where do you go to fill this itinerary out to try to get a pin? I was just on the Disney Official site and could not find it. Help? and Thanks!

It worked for me! It took about four days. But I got the 20/30/40 pin!!!! When I did the math...it is better than free dining. We are staying at the wilderness lodge 9/26-10/2!!!!!!!!!!! This is our first time staying deluxe!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to all that are receiving PIN codes using this method :thumbsup2 I received my first PIN in October 2009 and were are using it for our upcoming trip in May...I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for a bounce back offer when we get there in May ;)

I think I'm the only one who has not received this pin yet.:sad2:

But PIN or no PIN, we are staying at Wilderness Lodge 9/25 - 10/2. See ya there!:wave2:

No, you're not the only one who hasn't received a PIN. I think there are several of us actually.
We travel exclusively to WDW every year and this Fall will be our 11th visit and we have never received a PIN. We usually stay 11 to 20 days per visit because it's a 6 & 1/2 hour flight, so there's no sense in just a 5 to 7 day trip.
So 11- 15 days in a moderate at rack rate can really add up. Not sure why we keep doing it to ourselves, but hey, we love WDW and it's our vacation of choice, so we'll keep going back :)

Thank you all who have made suggestions. On Monday night I cleared out my itinerary from last year and made 2 new ones. One for next month and one for sept stating I was staying off-site and for both and rec'd a PIN for 20/30/40 today. It's greatly appreciated :worship:

I got one too. I haven't posted on these boards for many years now but like the last time we went to Disney, again they have proved to be invaluable.

I didn't read everyone of the posts on this thread so this might have already been said but I think I went a step further than just creating an itinerary and canceling it. I went beyond as if I were ready to book the resort then didn't. I just xxed out of it. An exit survey popped up however I didn't submit it. Within a couple of hours they sent a pin.

Children (0-17 years):
Do you need accommodations?
Yes No
Do you need park tickets?
Yes No

Once you create the itinerary a screen will pop up that asks about your interests, fill it out or don't, doesn't matter, continue or save and it will open another screen that says Disney's Day Planner ( etc ) scroll down to bottom and select EDIT ACCOMODAtIONS, ther is a 'nice little window' where you could put, I am staying off site and renting a car b/c it is cheaper!!! ( Thanks ZAMBONIMAN! :thumbsup2 ) , do this, log out and wait a week ( if you can!):surfweb:

Good Luck! I am still waiting too!
:laundy:

Yeah I'm stupid. So in one itinerary I put in that we did need accomodations and in the other I put in that we did not need accomodations and there was a drop down menu where I chose 'staying offsite'. However, I don't get a popup nor do I see the Day Planner where you can edit accomodations. Is it necessary to do that or should I just leave my itineraries where they are? Is it in the plan which park you'll be at every day section thingy where I edit accomodations?? And then I should have put I need accomodations for both and then choose offsite in the Day Planner? On Saturday I thought I understood this, but now I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing :rotfl:

Same here. 12 visits. Mods and Deluxe. Ap holder for past 7 years, but I didn't buy one this year and do not plan to. Average stay is 8 nights. No pin. Never a pin. Ever. I swear I am blacklisted. I try everything that is suggested and have been for years. I even created a new account for my 21 year old dd the other day and oddly it asked "what is your parent's email address? " Huh? She's 21! Oh, sure, they wanted to see if miss blacklist is trying to crack the code again. I outsmarted them though and used a new email address. Sheesh, lol. Did it help? No. Still no pin.

Disney is making me feel "not special." ;)

I'm going to try something else. It might work since I won't be able to use it. I always travel with DD and grandson. Hubby never goes to Disney and has no desire to. If I create an account in his name, he will get a code. If he does, I'll report back. If he doesn't, then, like DD21, he inheirited the good fortune of being blacklisted by Disney. :upsidedow

It worked for me. I had an itinerary where I put in I was staying onsite. Last night I deleted it, saved a new one that said I was staying offsite. Today I got the 20/30/40 pin.

However, my mom never gets on Disney's site and she got the Free QSDP pin emailed to her yesterday so who knows!

The advice from a few threads worked for me and I received a 20/30/40 pin. Now which resort is the question: Poly, Contemporary or rent DVC points.

Tomorrow will be one week since I created two itineraries, one stating I needed accommodations and one saying I'll be staying offsite. Still nothing. I fear I may be among the blacklisted... :sad2: If nothing materializes by Friday maybe I'll try deleting them and/or starting over.

I am helping two WDW first-timers plan their trips. Neither has booked yet, and yesterday I had them create their Disney accounts and itineraries using "the method." I hope I didn't get their hopes up too much. :rolleyes1 But given they've never been in Disney's system, it's GOT to work for at least one of them! Right?! C'mon pixie dust!
