SERIOUSLY pick me up a bottle!!!! I'll get it from you on the cruise maybe? Or sometime but I MUST have more guavaberry!!!! I got it at a little stand right outside the pier. They were advertising coconut smoothies and guavaberry coladas..... LOVE it!!!


I would fly to St Maarten right now just for a guavaberry colada!


Oh Mother of Wicket..... and I would have enjoyed Orient Bay so much more if I wasnt' worried about getting back to the ship where Ally was......

I am so glad you found her! I do believe she was the one who said, "Hey! It's my Disboard kid!" when Ally came in one day. Anjelica, right? I just asked Ally and now she's not sure. But Ally LOVED her!!!!! And YES! We were "the nice people" who gave them chocolate bars..... Well, we are just plain NICE anyway! I am so glad you found her pic on here - and if she's still on the Magic next March let me know if you want us to surprise her with anything special from you!!! We'd love to do it!

Hey, the St Maarten beach chair Nazi gave us two chairs AND an umbrella AND rum punch for $15! Deal of the century! I didn't find the shopping that intrusive at all. I'm thinking you are referring to the part in the video that Jeff took, that you walk through on your way to the boardwalk. Once you get through there, and pass through the boardwalk, there is Old St Maarten that is not like that at all. I just thought it was so pretty!

Rum is Jamaica..... didn't know they had much in St Maarten. Not sure where we got it - it was right outside the pier entrance though, not over in PHillipsburg. Just a little hut that advertised Guavaberry coladas and Coconut smoothies......

I totally got choked up when I saw your reaction to not being down in the princess line! My daughter is 5, and I have already had that thought (and feeling of dread) of realizing that the years of believing she is a princess and wanting to talk with them, is just going to come to an end WAY too fast! I do love that your husband taped it...seems like something mine would do! But, looking back at that, your daughter will always know how much she means to you. Really enjoying your TR!

Shopping Jamaica was a trip. Some lady grabbed my hand & led back some street to a shack like booth where she was selling steel drums. I did want one
so the hggling was on. They are very aggresive there. One son had my camera & the locals kept trying to barter for it. Kids thought it was funny.

Not that I miss waiting in those lines! I think we must have spent about 5-6 hours total in line during our first WDW trip with Ally when she was 5.......... so, when I look at it that way.....

I just do pineapple juice, cream of coconut, and guavaberry liquor...... yum!!!!

Yes, the parking lot we were in could not accomodate a bus so I'm sure the excursions drop people off further down the beach and that is for sure why it was more crowded.

Apparently, according to our friend who is cruising with us in October (who has been reading along but hasn't posted here yet - Hi Tone ), we are now taking a little side trip to the Blue whatsit Bar to get us a couple of Guavaberry Coladas. Sounds good to me

I am an absolute glutton for punishment...... I am trying to work on a trip, but it won't be this summer. Between this memorial service in MN next week, then finishing up swim team season, then heading to Ohio for a week at the end of the month...... maybe sometime in the fall?

Hi Tone! Don't be shy.... I won't bite. Well, I might, especially if you say something really stupid. But it will only hurt for a second.......

The Blue Whatsit Bar (I like that! ) was actually the bar above Taloula Something or other...... But the views were so awesome, that despite the name, we were going no matter what.

We have only one more week of swim team after this, then the city meet on Saturday, July 16th. After that I will have a LOT more time to hopefully get this thing finished soon!

Also, we had a horrible storm whip through here a couple weeks ago, and because of the wind and hail we are getting a new roof (and the house is only 3 years old with architechtural shingles!!!!) all told $31K in damage to the house. It was crazy scary. So I've been dealing with contractors for the past couple of weeks in addition to everything else.
