The MAY freaks! Celebrating 1 year of marriage! PTR STARTED!!

 That'll be DBf's calorie intake for the whole day. I'll be sure to tell him that after he eats it!

There is no such thing as 3000 calories at Disney. Now, if you ate Tonga Toast in the real world it would be that much, but at Disney, everything is calorie free. It's another example of Disney magic. :rotfl:

Itinerary
Things that I want to do-
-Photopass shoot at Animal Kingdom Lodge.
-I also heard about the photo sessions they do in the park now. I would LOVE to do that in the MK. I'm going to look into it.

Great itinerary. We're there May 4-16 and aren't in the same park or restaurant as you any day of that entire time! :lmao: I hope you have a great trip.

I wanted to ask where you heard about the two things above. Since we're there for almost 2 weeks and aren't going next year (first time since 2005! :( ), we're looking to do things that are more memorable. I'd love to hear the details or have you point me to the place where I can do some research on my own. Thanks again!

OK so I found out that Tonga Toast does not really have 3000 calories....that was a fib lol. I don't really know but I do know that it is not 3000.

No the calories do not count, you are so right.

OMG really? LOL! That is so funny. Well if you do run into me please say hello!

You can do photo sessions at most of the Deluxe resorts now. We did it at the POLY and were very happy with our pictures.

If you want to do it I would call the resort and book it on a day when you have time. We were able to make an appointment anytime we wanted so I don't think they book up like crazy.

The in park sessions I have to look into more...and I have to do that soon. I heard it was $200 a session.

So I took some pictures earlier today of my little cousins.I'm going to be taking them with us, my aunt and uncle(their parents) , and my mom and dad in January 2011. It will be my Aunt's and the kids first time going.

I love how the camera captures the emotions of the person you are photographing. Does that make sense? I don't know how to describe it.

Anyway here is my little cousin Giavonna. The girl is will be 3 months May 6th... look at these cheeks lol.

She was getting a bath when I came over.

Hey guys I'm off to the 5k for ALD today! I'll post pictures when I get back.

Here is some info on what ALD is...

Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD), also known as 'Addison-Schilder Disease' or Siemerling-Creutzfeldt Disease, is a rare, inherited disorder that leads to progressive brain damage, failure of the adrenal glands and eventually death. ALD is one disease in a group of inherited disorders called leukodystrophies. Adrenoleukodystrophy progressively damages the myelin, and eventually destroying it. A complex fatty neural tissue that insulates many nerves of the central and peripheral nervous systems. Without myelin, nerves are unable to conduct an impulse, leading to increasing disability as myelin destruction increases and intensifies.

An essential protein, called a transporter protein, is missing in sufferers. This protein is needed to carry an enzyme which is used to break down very long-chain fatty acids found in the normal diet. Lack of this protein can give rise to a build-up of very long-chain fatty acids, (VLCFA) in the body which can damage the brain and the adrenal gland.

Patients with X-linked ALD are all male, but about one in five women carrying the disease develop a milder form in adult life, called adrenomyeloneuropathy. There are several different types of the disease which can be inherited, but the most common form is an X-linked condition.

Although this disorder affects the growth and/or development of myelin, leukodystrophies are different from demyelinating disorders such as multiple sclerosis where myelin is formed normally but is lost by immunologic dysfunction or for other reasons.

Hi Lynn! I have enjoyed ALL of your TRs! You take great pictures and your new camera is awesome. I know...since I teach first grade in sunny Florida, you can have my job when I retire and then in the summers work at Disney and be Ariel!! Perfect for you!!! I actually did work at Disney while I was in college on Main Street in all the shops. My best friend and I had such a wonderful time and I often say I should have just stayed there! :rotfl: Have a wonderful trip and I know you will enjoy each and every second. If you need any help or advice with your college classes, please don't hesitate to ask. (You could intern with me if you lived here!!)

Your cousins are so cute! I am sure they are going to have a blast when you guys go in 2011. That seems so far away right now...but it's really not!!

Yeah I know it does seem like it, but it's not lol.

Your camera takes great pictures! I am looking into getting one too. Well, my next birthday, which isn't soon, is the big 3-0, so I have already started hinting that the Canon Rebel is what I would like! :rotfl: Your Disney trips will be better for you if you move to the south. Otherwise, May trips will be a fond memory! ;)

This was such an awesome event. For those of you who want to know what ALD is here is the link...

It really is a sad disease.

Today was a nice day, not as nice as yesterday but still nice enough for a good run. It was a little chilly in the morning and very breezy. Yeah that was not fun running against wind.

We got there around 9 and the race started at 10. I went and picked up my shirt and my number, number 81 lol. Tim kept calling me T.O as in Terrel Owens haha. After that I sat in the car and ate my banana with peanut butter for some energy.
003.jpg

Tim was making fun of me because I forgot a knife so I was dipping my banana into the peanut butter. He had me cracking up.
006-1.jpg

It was so windy which made it a little chilly. I was freezing. I didn't know Tim was taking pictures of me here lol.
013-2.jpg

Now I did haha

015-1.jpg

It was time to go line up. Ok look at how white I am compared to everybody else LOL!!! The dude in the yellow won. He had like an Olympic running body lol. You could so tell he was going to win. Everybody nicknamed him Flamer because he had flames on his shoes lol.
017.jpg

And we're off haha. Tim said every time he tried to get me people got in the way haha, oh well.

019-1.jpg

Man this race was tough. It took all I had. I just kept the music pumping in my Ipod and just kept going. There were a ton of hills and a lot of wind.

Here is the guy who came in first and his time. He did such a great job.
033.jpg

and here is me trucking along lol.
034.jpg

035-1.jpg

YAY I finished!!! Such a great time!
036.jpg

Oh man I was pooped...I like guzzled the water down lol.
037.jpg

Trying to cool down my head lol.
038-1.jpg

YAY I did it!
039-1.jpg

I went and grabbed a banana and they had some of those energy fruit snacks. I had 2 of them. The package says you should have 2 every ten minutes while you are running. I'm going to get them for the half marathon. They are good, taste just like gummi bears.

Ok this was so so sad. This little girl sang a song, "Dance with my daddy again." She said that her father was diagnosed with ALD when she was 3 and he died when she turned 5 :( She was adorable and had such a pretty voice. Tim and I both got choked up, so sad.
040-2.jpg

041-1.jpg

After she sang they started announcing the winners. I came in second place in the woman's group aged 20-29!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Over all out of the women I think I was fourth or fifth place.

I was so excited when they called my name. They gave me a little prize haha. It was a beach towel, cooler, and a picnic blanket thing. Cute.

044-1.jpg

All the proceeds are going to Jefferson Hospital. They want to start screening babies for ALD when they are born.

Yeah we will see where I end up after I'm done with school.
