The MAY freaks! Celebrating 1 year of marriage! PTR STARTED!!

Oooh, I like both dresses! Very cute. :thumbsup2

And...I'm very jealous of your awesome new camera! It takes some really great photos. I really like the details you can see on the flowers. Just think of all the cool pics you'll get at WDW in a few weeks!

Great pre-trippie Lynn I love your outfits and new camera looks great. Hope you have a great time you must be getting really excited now not long left.

Hey Lynn I love your dresses and those pictures of the flowers are beautiful. I can't wait to see what your pictures will look like from your May trip. Also congrats on registration. We are on our way real soon.:dance3:

Thanks. I'm learning how to take good pictures of the fireworks. I'm told I need a tripod. IDK how the heck I'm going to walk around the park with a tripod.

I'm excited for registering. Thanks.

The dress is pretty well both of them. I love those flower pictures what a camera. I want one now.

Thanks. I was trying to get a picture of the rain drops.

Enjoying your per-trip report a lot. Sounds like you guys are going to have a great trip!!!

AHH you have no idea lol! 17 days!

Great pics!!! Those dresses are so cute! Looks like I might need to check out American Eagle! ;)
I actually took a photography class last fall (you should try and take one if you can!) and I took some pics of flowers! Sure could have used yours! It is really good!!

Isn't that what DH is for?? :goodvibes We just took a long weekend trip to DC and DH carried mine for me the whole weekend, even though I didn't end up using it once :lovestruc Most come with some sort of carrying bag with a long strap and don't weigh much (maybe 4 pounds or something) so it shouldn't be too much trouble. Or, you can always stash it in a locker until it's fireworks time so you don't have to carry it all day!

Here is the type of case I was talking about. It's soft with a zipper and a long strap to wear messenger style. (That's DH in DC wearing it).

OR---if you are really opposed to the tripod, you can get a Gorillapod SLR Zoom or bean bag and use them on top of the trash cans on Main Street. $50 or so, flexible, small and very lightweight. Here's a pic---they are supposed to support up to 6.6 pounds, but I wouldn't be on that. Your camera with kit lens will weigh much less anyway.

You got it I love the rain drops so dramatic. The flowers are there but the rain drops caught my attention. I just love the detail in that photo. I used to have a tripod but let a friend borrow it for a wedding and never saw the tripod again.:sad2: I guess it was that good lol

Yeah go! They have a great sale going on.

I wish I could take a class before disney lol. I need it.

That is such a nice picture. Yeah I can get Tim to carry that lol.

OOOH so that is what those Gorilla things are. Ok. I think that would work out better for us for right now. I have to talk to Tim and see what he wants to do. Carry a tripod or get the gorillapod. I could carry that in my purse.

Thanks I tried lol!

OMG I can't believe they didn't give it back lol!

The Gorillapod SLR Zoom is awesome. I have a regular tripod and the Gorillapod and will be bringing both to WDW. Just make sure you get the "SLR Zoom" model, since it is made for larger cameras with interchangable lenses.

This photo of the Canada pavillion (taken by Quicklabs here on the DIS and in the final for last week's photo contest on the Photo Board) was taken using the Gorillapod.

I took this one of our Christmas tree in 08 with the Gorillapod as well.

It is not THE BEST thing you can ever get, and it's not going to replace a real tripod---but it does get the job done and is much better than not using anything at all. If you aren't interested in spending a fortune or lugging a tripod, I think it would be the perfect solution. You can use it on a table, you can wrap it around a tree/fence and it's very light and CHEAP! The only word of advice is...if you are going to wrap it around something, make sure it's secure. It would be horrible to leave your camera dangling by the Gorillapod and have it fall off of the fence onto the pavement. Talk about a trip spoiler. :headache:

Hi Lynn!
Love the new dresses, very pretty! Is the 1st one (the anniversary one) a greenish color? Love it....it's too cute!

Great flower pics.....I may need to get me one of these cameras....uh oh!! Damn Dis...I spend more money everytime I log on...heehee!!:lmao:

HI! Thanks for coming out of lurkdom LOL!

Thank you very much for the compliments. Hope you enjoy this TR.

Hey Lynn! I am still working on the TR's but I am caught up on your PTR! :goodvibes

Your wedding was beautiful! Your Oct trip so far is looking great! I cannot believe you guys got that picture with all those characters! omg! :wizard:

I :lovestruc the dresses! I am sooo jealous of the camera purchase! That is an awesome camera!

Your plans all look great so far! I hate that our trips just miss each other!

Oh! And all the donald duck pins! :rotfl: That is hilarious! I have gotten a few pins for our trip, but now I think I want to focus on one character or theme. That was a good idea!

popcorn:: love it so far!

Good flower pics! Nice DOF on them; good to see you're enjoying playing with it. :thumbsup2

If you haven't already, you might want to think about getting a UV filter for the lens for protection. It's worthwhile to spend 15-25 bucks to protect a 200-2000 dollar lens!

One question; is it expensive to get the Boardwalk Bakery to make an anniversary cake? We'll probably head back next March to celebrate our anniversary, and it seems like it'd be a nice thing to do.

Hi Tarah!!

Thank you very much. That character picture was insane LOL!!! I could have never imagined it happening. You know what I should post the video that they took with our camera. I don't think I ever posted it.

Thanks I love the dresses. Oh and the camera is great. I really recommend it.

Aww that stinks. When do you go?

HAHA Tim is so funny with his Donald pins. I can't wait to see how many more he can find lol.

Hi!! Yeah I bought the UV filter!! Thanks for the heads up anyway :)

Our anniversary cake is only like 40 bucks I think. Not bad. I can't wait to eat it lol!

Hi Lynn! I just noticed your PTR. Yes, a little late! :rotfl: I saw that you're going on the Segway Tour. I just took the tour on my last trip. What a blast!! I loved it! There's a pic in my TR. The only problem was that I wished it would've lasted even longer!! You'll have a great time!
