Yeah! I don't even know where to start! I put some on my 2 yr old today, and now I know what NOT to do :lmao:

Anyone in the market for makeup brushes? Check this out - this looks like an incredible deal to me: 24 MAC brushes for $28.99

http://www.brush111.com/product_2.html

ETA: I don't know, this seems to be too good to be true???
I

I think they msut be fakes. I saw that at the bottom of the screen on YouTube and figured that why or how could they sell like 500 worth of brushes for 28.99 anyone check it out on MU? I will admit I was tempted.

Gosh this is really OT well it does involve shopping. I was diverted today while shopping. Not sure if you guys have Filene's basement where you live. I have one around the corner from me in the same complex where I grocery shop. I ran in to get a new makeup bag, I see racks of Vineyard Vines with signs $16.99, as Scooby would say, Rut-RO??
I ask a girl who works there what is this all about. She said they came in this week half is already gone. This is the real stuff, not fake. $16.99 for a $298 cashmere sweater, polos, hoodie, shorts, capris, dresses. Everything $16.99, this stuff retails from $100 on up. I am not a preppy dresse but a like to throw a lil bit into the mix. If you have a Filenes basement near you and can get to it you should. Promise last time I do this, give me a point if you want or a temporary ban on posting here, I had to share.

Okay Monistat Faces - tell me what you think (CR? Where are you?)

Had my Smashbox makeover today. She tried several different products to get a good base and the only one that worked well on my skin was the Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P228100&categoryId=C10905 It is $59  (the most I've spend on foundation or powder is $4). However, she did a moisturizer, primer, and just this stuff and it covered fine :confused3 So I figured if it lasts a long time, and allows me to just use one product, maybe it's worth the extra cost? :confused3 A free sample bronzer was included in their promo which made me feel a little better.

Anyone use this and what do you think?

I also picked up some Too Faced Lash Injection mascara that was part of a two pack with the pin point stuff. Anyone use that? I tried it in the store but am not sure it's worth the extra $.

If you like it, then sure it was worth it! :thumbsup2
Seriously though. If you find something you like, and you're only using one product instead of 2 or 3 to achieve the same effect, then that is less $$ in the long run.

I have been using the Lash Injection for about a month now and I really like it! I think it's worth the money.

YOU re right. You know the first time you spend more than say 25 for make up you feel a little oh I don't know...nervous? BUT the more you do it the easier it gets. See I told you guys that make up is addicting. I bet the manufacturer puts some sort of drugs in it and we just cannot stop ourselves. At least I know I can't.
:rotfl:

Hello ladies! I got home from the Dr's office around 5:30 this evening to find that I had left my Lash Injection unscrewed on my dresser (I was running a little late and rushing). I hope it's not dried up! :sad1:

On the plus side, I came home with some Replenix Retinol Plus 10x smoothing serum. Guess it's time to step it up a notch from the Oil of Olay age defying with beta hydroxy. Everyone at the office says it makes your skin feels like silk. And I got an email saying my beautycrunch order has shipped.

Hey Miss Park Avenue, could you ask at the office what would be a good under eye moisturizer? I just can't find anything that takes away the wrinkles and crinkled look for the entire day. I am wearing the Monistat under my eyes so everthing stays in place sorta, but starts to look dry later in the day.
Thanks!

Hey Ladies,

So I tried out ALL of the makeup in my freebie bag, and I must say, When putting on the BE, I was not impressed. However, like 30 minutes later, I looked in the mirror and liked how it looked. I dunno, does it take a while to settle or something?

Out of everything I got, I believe my fave is the Buxom LipGloss and the Idol eye color. I have REALLY blue eyes and that color just seems to set them off.

At any rate, what are your suggestions for cleansers and moisturizers? I have this really dry patch above my eyes, you can't see it when I'm not wearing makeup, but the minute I put foundation on it pops right up? Also, I am pretty sure I shouldn't be washing my face with Dial.:confused3

Any help is appreciated!

Anybody seen Cathryn?

Did you get some Monistat to use as a primer, before using the BE? A primer really makes a difference. I don't know about the Monistat, but the BE Prime Time has really helped with the dry patches on my checks and I don't normally need an additional moisturizer. Also, try to exfoliate, it really helps with the dry patches.

Dial? :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: that may be the cause of the dry patch you mentioned.

My favorite all purpose facial cleanser is Philosophy's Purity. I get this at Sephora or through drugstore . com. It's expensive but you only need a drop or two so it lasts a long time. It's very gentle - cleans the face but doesn't dry it out.

Another good one that you can buy almost everywhere is Cetaphil. My 10yo is starting to get a shiny face so I've started both girls on a Cetaphil face washing routine.

I also picked up Costco's version of facial cleanser/makeup remover cloths for the girls to use during dance recital time. Of course I had to try them, and I really like them. They will come in handy. There's a coupon in the booklet that ends this Sunday.

I think foundation is definitely something to splurge on. The other stuff I pretty much experiment on. I am sooo loving my monistat primer!! Thanks ladies!!

Dial? :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: that may be the cause of the dry patch you mentioned.

Believe it or not, the dermatologist I saw a few years ago recommended Dial- said it is gentle and does a great job cleansing. He said as long as I moisturized after washing, Dial was great. Now, I have very oily skin, so it might not be good for those with dry skin... :confused3

I get dry patches on my skin when I stop using something with Alphy Hydrox or Beta hydroxy in it. It's a fruit acid that takes off the very top layer of skin.

Yeah, I plan on getting an eye cream at the Dr's office. I put the retinol cream last night and I kept feeling my face; it was so soft! The cream was a weird texture though. It came out of the jar looking like dijon mustard. I was afraid it was really old or something. But I could feel a difference that night.

Okay friends - I played with makeup this afternoon

I tried the Everyday Minerals samples I got last week. I watched a video on YouTube. Put a few drops of water to mix with concealer and applied that under eyes and where needed. Then put on base, as it came. It took quite a bit, IMO, to get it to even out but my face is blotchy. Then I put on some blush and powder over all of it.

I wasn't impressed when I finished but a few hours later, it seems to look better :confused3

But let me tell you I am SO impressed with the Lash Injection and Pin Point. The box had instructions for now to apply it to get a "false eyelash" look and my eyes look so good!! My lashes look a lot longer and my eyes look larger and brighter.

I haven't even opened the Smashbox halo stuff. I got an email witha coupon last night and I'm tempted to return it and repurchase. It did come with a free sample that I have used already so I don't know how that would work? :confused3

HI Guys,

I went to the Company Store to get some MAc brush cleaner at discount. Well theydid not have it so did I leave empty handed? NO! I got Clinique eye make up remover and then I got MEGA Rich pigment (sublte bronze) for the eyes and a cute compact with plums and purple eyeshadow. Cost...56.99 When I got out of the store my husband asked what it cost and ...I lied! I said I got the make up remover for 2o but I did not tell him about the other. Well I did not lie, I simply told him I was going in for make up remover and figured he wanted to know how much THAT cost. I mean he did not ask about other items...right? I guess I did not really LIE I guess I just misunderstood his question.

What do you all use to clean your brushes?? I am going to use baby shampoo. I have not been all that faithful to a regime to clean them but I have some new ones and I want to keep them cleaner. IN the past I just used soap and water.
