RE: BRUSHES - I've read Eco-Tools brushes are really good. I went to Ulta yesterday to grab a couple and they were completely sold out. :headache: (My first time in Ulta and I struck out on everything I wanted to buy. Not liking that store too much right now!)

RE: MONISTAT - I used mine for the first time yesterday and I really liked it! I only used it on my nose and across my cheeks where I am oiliest and my face tends to melt off first. That area still looked great at the end of the day - even thru a few oil paper blottings! :thumbsup2

The downside is - my boyfriend was reading the tube and what it is actually used for - he gets really bad rashes on his inner thighs when it is really hot and he is working outside at WDW. He plans on testing out the Monistat to see if it helps him! I told him to get his own bottle - not highjack mine!!! Oh well.

Hi ladies! For those of you who use Lancome, it's free gift time at Nordstrom! It's a good one this time: 3 lipglosses, a lipstick, bronzer, eyeshadow quad, mascara, eye makeup remover, and renergie lift cream. :thumbsup2

Hey everybody. I'm enjoying my new makeup purchases (I was strictly blush, lips and liner before). I just ordered a ton of new shadows but I'm noticing that some of the colors are making my deep set eyes look even more "hidden" instead of popping them out.

Anyone have any techniques for making them stand out instead of retreating further into my head?? :rotfl: DF actually said what I had on today looked a little "hard" - and I barely had any on! :scared1:

I really am a newb - 35 years old and I don't know how to put makeup on! HELP PLEASE you crazy monistat face wearing ladies!!! :worship:

Remember that NO AD brand sunscreen? They USED to make a self tanner, and can I tell you how great it was??? Wonderful and CHEAP!

I wish I could still find it.

I'm Greek & Italian....so it's not hard for me to find a self tanner that doesnt work okay - since I'm already a bit darker.

But I like Loreal's Sublime Gel for my face and any kind of 'airbrush / spray' one, for my body. It's just easier - but Ill tell you, Ive gotten a couple duds that stop spraying and that irks the hell out of me.

So far Banana Boat's smells the best (doesnt smell starchy) BUT BUT BUT that one fizzled on me quick. ALmost a full can.

OH - and then I use that Jergens stuff on the back of my hands, cuz hands always seem to grab it more, and that way theyre not weird looking.

That's how I do my mascara! :thumbsup2

I paid about that much for mine at CVS. It's still worth it, though. :goodvibes

First.....I KNEW we were more than just make up sisters..I am Greek and Italian too(mostly Italian). However I have fair skin ( I know how did that happen, my dad's family are blonds)so I have a problem finding a self tanner and I have tried them all. Are you sure they do not make the NO AD anymore.

Went to the Costmetics Outlet today. I had never gone in there b/c I thought it was just Estee Lauder and I do not like EL. So
I spent 44.oo Tube of Paint, Make up stick for contouring and Gold cream Eye Shadow. I could have spent a fortune but since I got another order from BC coming in the mail I had to make sure the bag was small enough to fit in my bag.

OMG I go away for a couple weeks and we're talking about putting Monistat on our faces?! :rotfl:

I miss talking with you gals--just life got really, really crazy. And I've been spending a lot of time at Epcot. :goodvibes

I use the MAC Paint--someone just asked about it--I use it as an eyeshadow primer. I just put a tiny little bit on the tip of my finger and apply it to the lid. It evens out my skin tone there too, plus it makes the shadow stay on forever, and it really brings out the color. My tube has lasted me almost a year now--it goes a LONG way.

That was me LG. I got some today. Thanks for the info.

I have a few of the Sonia Kashuk brushes from Target--they are pretty good for the price. But I don't use them very often--I got them for specialty purposes. The ones I use everyday are either from MAC or Sephora.

MAC used to have a nice little set--I got one before they sold out, years ago--it had 5 short-handled brushes in a travel case. I don't think it was much more than $50, and they are WONDERFUL and have lasted a long time with good care.

Beauty Crunch had a set of Stila Brushes for 30 that sold for 75 if I remember correctly.

Go to Gossmakeupartist on YouTube. He is a make up artist and if you can get by him putting the make up on himself to demonstrate he is really very good. He has a tutorial on deepset eyes. He is really good and IMHO better than some of the girls on there who only think they are make up artists.

Anyone use MUD make up? I have been watching the makeup videos from Goss and he loves a lot of their stuff.

My sister went and got her Monistat on.
Her 17 year old daughter saw an immediate difference on her mom's face,
she is going out tonight and will report back how it held up.
She bought it at Kmart for $6.44, her husband would not stay with her while she searched the shelves of the ladies products and I coached her on her cell phone.

Belle what do you think of OxfordJasmine on youtube? If you have watched her tutorials.

Yeah - send him to get his own. And wish him some luck in finding it, as well. :rotfl:

I promise to reply to this tomorrow. Im REALLY tired for some reason (too much fresh air today - so nice out!!!)

Ill get to this tomorrow. Hopefully others can give tips, too.

What color shadows did you get?

.

Heeeeeeey! Another Greek & Italian girl. Awesome!!! I dont know how you ended up with fair skin. Im not DARK - but Im just .... I dunno medium, I guess, and a few minutes in the sun browns me, quick.

I go tanning - but I go in a medium strength bed, for 6 minutes - and that's all I need.

The NO AD - I can not find it ANYWHERE. I loved that stuff. It was a subtle one too....not TOO dark (and orange) It was so fantastic. :guilty:

That's another title thread worry change phrase... I shall change shortly, to that.

I just ordered my EM custom kit :woohoo: :dance3:

YAY! :yay:

I need to order another set, soon. I got some last summer - and I'm just running out, now (and I do my makeup everyday!) I love that stuff, too. :lovestruc

Thanks. I'll check it out first thing in the morning!!! That is a little weird though that he puts it on himself. :rotfl:

What color shadows did you get?

Thank you! I will check out this guy Goss too. I ordered a bunch of different colors. Pinks, highlighters, browns, bronze, lilac, etc. I figure I'm bound to find a use for them sooner or later.

I did end up redoing my eyes tonight with a lilac and nude. Came out much better. I did not go overboard with the black liner. Thatseems to make me look a little hard. I have pretty strong bone structure in my face as it is.

Glad you enjoyed a great day outside!

Belle what do you think of OxfordJasmine on youtube? If you have watched her tutorials.

I have not seen her tutorials but I will check her out. Goss likes MUD products I wish I had a store near me. I could order on line but I cannot figure how to get the pallet he had but then again there were 8 pans and at 27 per pan ...YIKES we are talking over 200 which when I think about it is a lot less than I have spent the past two weeks.

Thanks. I'll check it out first thing in the morning!!! That is a little weird though that he puts it on himself. :rotfl:

In a way after you get used to it it is better. You look at what he is doing and do not compare his looks to yours the way you might with a woman.

Hi there, it is so nice to see the DIS is back!

I've been wanting to share since last night that www.toofaced.com is have a sale. They brought back a bunch of last years items at beautycrunch-like prices!

I have heard that the original glo is a tad lighter then the intensive in the everyday minerals, is this true?

if so I just ordered the buff-natural medium in the original glo but the sample I got was intensive and I like it but I think it is a tad too light but I thought a bronzer would work. what do you think and what should I do? thanks

I have a sample of buttered tan but is a tad to dark should I mix them to see if that would work?
