Wow! I just found this thread, but I haven't had a chance to read all of the posts. I hope to learn about make-up from you all. :worship:

I've decided to make more of an effort to put on make-up everyday. Usually, I wear a little bit of it to church or school, but that's it, lol. I just get so overwhelmed by all of the choices. I've been looking for a good foundation or powder for my face, but I am so overwhelmed by all of the color choices. I have dry, light to medium skin and I have a little bit of redness (like around my nose). How do I find a good shade? I've been looking at the Everday Minerals site.
Can anyone offer me any suggestions? You'd think that at 32 I'd know all of this.
Thanks for reading. :goodvibes

I have been following this thread since it started. I am going to be in biggggg trouble because I have ordered the everyday minerals $50.00 kit, the dhc skincare-essentials kit and velvet coat, and the too faced mascara layering kit. I do have a question about that one. Which one do I put on first? The big tube or little tube? So, anything else ya'll want to recommend? :lmao:

First of all, Hello and :welcome: Queens to our little Kingdom!

Next, I was watching the guy who heads up Too Faced Cosmetics on HSN and he said to put the little tube (the pinpoint) on first. Start at the base and work up in a sweeping motion to really pull those lashes out for length. Then you follow up with the Lash Injection to make em really fat. I had been doing it the wrong way at first. I love the look I get, better than putting on false eyelashes.

Speaking of eyelashes. I have to give a speech tonight for speech class. We had to chose something to demonstrate. Me? I'm going to demonstrate how to put on false eyelashes. I'm nervous. I hope I don't mess up. Truth is now I'd just rather throw on my lash injection and go!

On the box of stuff itself - it had 2 different 'looks'. One was little first - and big 2nd.... and the other was vice-versa.

I do the little then big.

And your last question....have you been to www.beautycrunch.com yet? :lmao:

Wait a minute - what's this about layering the Lash Injection? How did I miss this??? I thought the mini tube was just for those who didn't like messing with the larger applicator but am I to understand that the two types do different things? If so, I see yet another trip to Ulta in my future.

Bad, Bad Makeup thread!!! :rotfl: Oh yeah, I forgot to say I do love the everday minerals. I got a butt load of stuff for $50.00. Way cheaper than BE. I just did not like BE. I've used Philosophy's mineral makeup - I like that better than BE too. But everyday minerals is great and reasonably priced. Ok, I will try my new mascara tomorrow. It just came in today. I'm gonna look like a moooovvvvie staaar.:lmao:

CathrynRose, thanks for starting this thread (um, I think)

momrek06 ~ I'm hoping you can tell me it is going to be nice and warm down there at the end of the month! I looked at temp averages on weather.com and it looks like 71. Is that it?

Xena, Yeah!!! Are you coming to SoCal to Disneyland??? I will keep an eye on the weather for you. I will say it is ALWAYS nice here. On occasion we have showers but that is mostly Jan-Feb. Now all that being said I only moved here in July...so I have not been here in March yet!! Like today, this a.m. a little cloudy, than sun, than a downpour which did not last long and now bright sun. It is cool today 62. This past weekend was amazing. DH & I rode bikes all day Sunday!!! Actually, 71 will be very nice...not to cool and not to hot! :thumbsup2

Oh and please call me KAR!!! :goodvibes

Hey Kar! I am going to Disneyland! So excited to get out of our cold weather! I have been to Disneyland many many times, but for the life of me I don't think I have ever been in the spring. Weird! So I hope it will be in the 70's at least! Thanks for keeping me updated.

Oh, and Xena is my funny Disboard nickname that Cat and some other girls game me on another thread. But I pretty much answer to it now! :lmao:

Hey ladies!

First off, I did not forget you! My supplier is down with the flu. I was hoping she would list tonight, but I just got an email saying she is going to try to list tomorrow. We shall see, but I am still looking out for all of you.

Second - how expensive is the Smashbox Halo Foundation?

Ciao for now!

DO me one favor - dont but their stuff. I'm telling you - just trust me. It's low quality makeup they use (if it's the Mario brand)

Just pay attention to everything else. :thumbsup2

Seriously, between my lash injection layering kit and my new liquid eyeliner, which I loooove :lovestruc I've got some really pretty peepers. Don't really need the falsies.

I'm back from giving my speech. I got a good grade on the speech. But I was so mad because I couldn't get the second set of lashes to stick! Darn nerves. But overall it went well.

Makeup news. Did anyone else get the email from www.narscosmetics.com on free shipping for any NARS purchase? No minimum purchase? Just thought I'd pass that little bit of info along. :rolleyes1

I'm on the Everyday Minerals site and I found that they have a kit of 5 items as free samples. I'm picking mine out. They have so many foundation shades I can't decided.

Cat are you on? I forgot what finish you get normally for your Everyday Minerals. I like to cover freckles so not the lightest one. Matte or Intensive maybe?

OK thanks for the tip. I guess I'll get one intensive and one matte and then I'll be able to see the difference.

Oh, and one more thing. How long does it take them to ship the samples because I'm going on vacation in three weeks and I hope I'll get it before that!
