OK Cathryn,

I will check out the Mineral Veil and Smashbox brushes. Are there any brushes in particular? The Bare Escentials is pretty much a given with lipsticks and such, and I will go ahead and pick up the Mineral Veil if it's on the list.

FYI, the last Bourjois I saw was the 3 pencil eyeliner that was Club Contour.

Also, there is always a lot of Philosophy. I will let you know Wednesday morning what I got.

What kind of Philosophy stuff?

Where are you getting this stuff?!?!?

Good morning ladies!

Oh, such a busy weekend! I went up to Downtown Disney to meet a couple of gals I haven't seen since junior high school--we fell back in together just like it hadn't been 13 years! Anyway, good times. This doesn't mean I didn't go crazy MAKEUP SHOPPING though!!!!

OK, so here's what I picked up this weekend:
Saturday, the MAC counter at Dillard's called to me. I had been looking at the Snow Bunny by Too Faced over at ULTA but it looked too orange on me--so I got the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Degrade in Redhead. Not too shimmery, and can do highlights/lowlights with it (plus it's not so brown like a bronzer is):
MCJ902.jpg

Also the new Cremesheen Glass in Ever So Rich (and no, it's not sticky!)
ME6H.jpg

As if that weren't enough, it was off to another mall on Sunday, and at the MAC store I picked up a brow finisher pencil (the wax ones) and shadow. Then Sephora got me with the NARS 'O' blush and a new angle brush for my brows!!!!

So yes, my card is smoking  That's in addition to the $$ I spent at Basin at DTD....

Oh, and did I mention that MAC's website is offering free shipping on orders over $60????

It fell off a truck :rotfl2:
Just kidding.

I have a friend who has a buyback contract with some of the companies.

:wave2: bunkkinsmom I am looking for a great blush brush and large all over brush if you happen upon any!

Thanks!

Cathryn, is the smudge pots similiar to Mac's fluidline. I love love my fluidline in blacktrack and I use it to line the bottom of my eye (I can't manage the brush on the top). I'm pretty much out. I'm going to check the Cosmetic Company Outlet to see if they have any. But I'd rather get the smudge pot if it's similar in product!

It's funny how that happens, isnt it? I got in touch with a very, very close g/f after many years - and was really kinda *nervous* to see her again (how silly) but it was instant 'back where we left off'. :thumbsup2

Smoking Card = Good Times! :woohoo:

And I loooooooove that Lipgloss!! :cloud9: Love it!!!

Out of curiousity - did you try Pink Leopard (instead of Snow Bunny)? Way more pink... but what you got is fun!

Well, thats what what I was thinking - but I wasnt gonna say anything. And - And - And - when I heard about it, and even if I thought that - I couldnt have cared less. All I saw was "CHEAP MAKEUP!"

I love - and I mean LOVE Mac's Fluidline in Black Track.... and I'm plum-out. So - I was going to order some online (for free shipping) and never got around to it this weekend, when I stumbled across that link.

I am HOPING it's quite similar. The reviews for it on makeupalley.com are good. I figured for the price - it would be worth trying.

That being said - I tried a Smashbox one (just like these) and returned it. I hated it.

So, we'll see what happens.

What kind of brush are you using? I dont have a problem with my top lid.... youre doing it after shadow / before mascara, right?

OK between bunkkinsmom's list (I'm dying to try out Smashbox foundation primer, but it's so expensive!) and now beautycrunch's sale, I'm so tempted. :bitelip: But I have made two HUGE purchases last week from Sephora and then Ulta the next day (went in for the lash injection layering kit, came out with that AND a stand mirror, Chanel #5 :cloud9: , and some other stuff). So I think I am going to live vicariously through you all.

Oh, I didn't mention that I went ahead a bought the Bourjois lipgloss. I got #4 "Rose Emblematic". It's sort of similar to my Buxom Babes "Trixie". It's pretty! OK, so now I have two lipglosses that I love, Buxom Babes and Bourjois 3D. Buxom has a more translucient color with slight plumping tingle where Bourjois has a stronger color with sparkles. I may have to go back for the Rose Idyllic.

So for those keeping score that brings my wishlist to 3
1. NARS: Outlaw
2. NARS: Angelika
3. Bourjois: Rose Idyllic

Now, nobody recommend anymore OK??? :thumbsup2 j/k!

I have the Smashbox primer, the BE Primer and the Makeup forever primer. I like Make Up Forever the best. The other two are basically the same and feel like some sort of silcone but the MF adds some neutralizing color so I like it better. MF is more expensive but it is made in France and is used by professionals. Just tell me it is used by a professional and I buy it.

Two questions
First does anyone use Avon?

I just cannot get myself to buy it. I am a snob I guess but it seems like it is the worst make up in the world...the K Mart of make up.

Second When you go to a make up counter or to Mac store doesn't it bother you when they do a make over that they use the same brushes on everyone. I just cannot do it. I do not care that they spray that cleaner on them it just does not seem sanitary.

No Avon and no makeovers at counters, makeup separated at birth, sister. :goodvibes ;)

No - BUT before I ordered I goggled them, and found nothing but pleased patrons.

Theyve been doing this a long time (WTH have we been?!?!?)

:Lots of makeup blogs mention them as well... I found no bad reviews.

Hi all!

I noticed at mua there is talk of a discount code at sephora.com if anyone wants to try it out.

J89LM for 15% off. Good till the 7th.

If anyone wants to try and see if it works, report back. I may have to get those NARS blushes on my wishlist!

Cathryn, I noticed you asked about the Buxom lipgloss. You might want to check and see if they aren't the lipglosses you tried before. I remember you mentioning before that you didn't like them.

one more question although I am afriad of the answer...are there other brands? I cannot seem to find any pages but Stila. I am about to order but want to be sure that I am not missing out on anything else since I have enough for my free shipping. Also I cannot find the single pans of color maybe they are gone.

They were... but if theyre cheap. :lmao: :rolleyes1

Okay so now I am really upset I had a whole bag full of make up and my computer virus program will not let me buy it because the site is using an outdated incripition program and it is not secure. DAMMMM.

Disable it for now.

Ok, so far I am looking for

Smashbox foundation for Miss Park Avenue
Smashbox Buxom lipgloss and brushes for Cathryn
Blush brush and all over brush for Kimmie.

I will get the list at 9pm tomorrow night (Eastern) so if anyone else has a request, I will take a look. I cannot guarantee anything, but I will look!

Also, Cathryn asked about what kind of Philosophy stuff. Gosh, all kinds. The 3 in one stuff a lot, and lots of different kinds.

Ya'll have a great night!
