OK, so update on the Neutrogena skin-renewing kit:

I LOVE the way it makes my skin feel. Now, whether it keeps working and at the end of my two weeks I have rejuvenated skin, we'll see. But the day cream makes your face so soft and the cleanser has scrubby beads in it and smells very nice.
Stay tuned :goodvibes

Someone was asking earlier about wrinkle cream. I've been using a retinol cream for several years now. It is an exfolilant and does a great job at retexturizing and evening out my skin tone. Now I don't know if it's due to the retinol cream but I am 46 (almost 47) and have no wrinkles yet.

What I do need help with is the sagging. I've tried several firming products and none of them really work. Yet still, I continue to use them hoping that they are making a subtle difference. Does anyone know of anything that REALLY helps with the sagging? My plastic surgeon refuses do anything surgically and I'm so frustrated with it.

I use Bliss Thinny Chin I think it is called. It really is not that great at 50 bucks a small container. I do think the Susan Wexler Deep Wrinkle serum does good things for a sagging neck but let's face it no make up is going to take care of sagging......that is somthing only Dr. Plastic can do.

GOOD MORNING QUEENS!!! :wave2:

Your thoughts on the Too Faced MOOD SWING Lip Gloss!!!

KIMR: Ask anything you like as often as you like, that is why CathrynRose started this thread...so we could all exchange as much make-up advice and ideas ALL DAY LONG!!! :teeth: This thread is very addicting!!! Once you stop by you cannot leave!!! :rotfl2:

Modd Swing - looks nice when you have a tan - but it can get awfully dark, and if you dont have one - it looks like you smeared a red popsicle all over your mouth.

So I was at Krogers today (no hot guys there :sad1: ) and I saw that all Revlon was 50% off so I got something new, liquid eyeliner! Since I had just come from working out, I tried to use it before I showered. It looked horrible. I know I need to work on my technique.

So, how am I supposed to use this stuff? Am I supposed to put it on BEFORE eyeshadow, and let the shadow cover the wiggly line? Or am I supposed to practice more, get really good at putting on a smooth fluid line, and put it on AFTER the eyeshadow? I'm sure there are better liners out there, but since I never used the liquid liner before, $3.50 for a bottle seemed to be a really good price to pay for something I may never get the hang of.

I use it AFTER shadow.... it's another thing you get used to. Once you get the hang of it, you can do it with your eyes closed.

You can take an angle brush, and go over your line with a dark shadow, so smudge it out a bit. I do this.

Have you guys used the kind of eyeliner that comes in a little pot and you apply it with a brush? I think it looks cool but I wonder if it's hard to do?

:cheer2: YIPPEE SKIPPEE :cheer2: I went to ULTA and bought the LASH INJECTION, QUEENS, and I LOVE it!!!

:thanks: THANK YOU CATHRYNROSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also bought OPI nail color "Suzi & the Lifeguard" from the South Beach collection for Spring '09. It is in the PINK shades. I only do my feet. My fingernails I just have the nail tech BUFF!!! ::yes::

Now I did not get the Pink Leopard there, I wanted to check it out at Sephora. I believe it was $28.00 at Ulta and $28.00 on HSN (but you would have to pay shipping & handling)!

What do you guys think of the Too Faced Eye Shadow Insurance Policy Palette and Primer? I thought the Primer was awesome as I watched HSN on Tuesday!! They put the primer on the models first and the eye shadow looked awesome w/the primer. :goodvibes

That's actually what I prefer....that's what I use, by MAC.

I tried Smashbox's version.... and couldnt stand it. I returned that one. Way too dry.

I almost bought the Stila one to try it, but you know what? i like the MAC one - and I dont feel like messing around.

So, I need to go get that one this weekend. I have a brown - but I ran out of black. I might just order it online... Im too lazy to go anywhere.

I got the eyeshadow primer at Sephora on Monday and I have been loving it! Also, because I have something new I have been getting out all my shadows and doing a lot of fun eyes this week. I get stuck in a rut with makeup sometimes and it is amazing how one new product can get me excited about all my old makeup again!

So I wonder if I would rather have that or wait until you go to the show and get a pencil by Tigi?

I was in Ulta today to look at some of the things we talked about. I went over to the Girls Dig Pearls lip gloss and tried a little on my fingers. I didn't feel any grit but it was super stickey! I was trying other lip glosses today and these were definitely stickier and goopier. I was rubbing the gloss between my fingers so I probably wouldn't have noticed the grit but I don't think I like it. I'll tell you one thing though, they were super sparkley. I emailed Too Faced the other day and asked what the model on their webpage had on. I never would have guessed, it was "mermaid". But I think I am going to pass on this.

I tried a couple colors from Bourjois that CathrynRose talked about a few pages back. I liked them! Especially #3, Rose Idyllic. I didn't buy it, but I may just have to go back for it. I just bought two Buxom Babes lip glosses (at 18 bucks a pop) I couldn't bring myself to spend any today.

I come home and in my mail was the Ulta flyer for next week. Here are some specials they have starting March 1st through the 14th.

I do like the Bourjois glosses. Theyre not all sticky-icky. I have #16 Beige Theroic on, right now.

Thanks for the heads up on the ULTA stuff. :thumbsup2

Did you TRY that stuff on your lips? The stuff I tried - was so gross. :scared:

ah sephora, my beloved sephora. i'll be going to chicago in march & I always go there!!

Hi! :wave2:

Tell us what you get!!! :yay:

Okay - that hair show Im going to, will have this booth: http://www.medusasmakeup.com/

And Im really excited....but where in the heck am I gonna wear this stuff??? No where!!! But it's so very FUN FUN FUN!! I'll wear red eyeshadow around the house on Saturdays.

You know those girls who have lots of tattoo's and piercings and hair color, in all sorts of shades?? They live in a loft in the city? Those girls?? I am one of those - but it's stuffed deep deep deep down inside me. Stinking kids cramping my style. ;)

 I know what you mean. My class was cancelled this morning and when the last kid left for the bus, I went to the mall...all...by...MYSELF! I got to stop and look at everything I wanted without someone begging for stop at Limited Too or Build a Bear.

So incredibly pretty Miss Park!!! :goodvibes

Those of you MAC lipglass users - what's the 'plushglass'?? Plush as in puffs them up?

What was the stick base coat someone mentioned earlier?

I cant find it.

Oh my-I MUST have some of that new MAC collection!!!
I have that MAC liquid eyeliner too, I don't wear liquid often except onstage and when I'm really making myself up, and it's the only one I really like. Once you get the hang of it, it's not that hard to put on--someone was saying about the squiggly line? If you pull your eyelid out horizontally to make it taut with one hand, it's much easier to make a neat line. It took me lots of practice and crazy eyeliner-jobs :scared1: before I could do it!!!

Ok--going to Sephora AND MAC tomorrow. NARS blush, I think, for me!

I have it and I like it. It is like a gel and I have the brown bronze. I think it is from Stila but I do not remember. BTW, I used my new Essie From Hollywood with Love polish with genuine 24 K gold in it today. My color is red (I LOVE RED) and it is fanstatic. It has just enough shimmer but the shine is fantastic.

lol

I need an opinion, Who has tried both the Too faced and the Urban Decay
shadow primer. Which one is better. I was going to go back to UD but then I noticed the Too Faced was in a tube and I figured I would get more out of it. HOnestly I do not have the energy to cut open the container of UD to get it all out. I do bang it on the sink (and for that I got a nice chip) to get it all out but cutting ...that is a different story. I ended up in the ER a year or so ago for trying to cut a bag of frozen veggies open with a knife. I got 12 stitches in my finger!! I try to stay away from difficult to cut items now.:rotfl:

Whats that packaging made of?

I wonder if you could microwave it and pour it into (think like the MAC liner pot) ??

Or I guess you could even boil it, with the top on.

Hmmmm....

OH - and no, I have only used Loreal's , Tigi's and Too Faced's primer.

I read that UD had the best primer - but after the Loreal one not being able to get to the bottom, I went with the tube you can squash every little bit out of it.

You could do what I did with the Loreal one.... take off the little stopper top - and stick a small concealer brush into it, to get the stuff at the bottom.
