Which day is better? Last year she went on Sunday (I think). Some vendors were shutting down, but others were lowering prices so they did not have to pack things up. Is it crazy crowded on the first day?
Any suggestions would be great.

I go Sunday.... why, you ask?

I get their AT opening, and dont leave until theyre closing up shop - and I STILL dont get to see it all. Sunday has the longest hours.

If you see me on Sunday - say Hi!!! Ill have a wheely black suitcase (like every other person in there!) But mine has a pink painted Mickey silhouette on it. (I was bored one weekend afternoon... )

When you talk about the OPI top coat are you using the quick dry top coat?

I find it dries in a quick time but it is hard to use up the bottle because it gets too thick to quickly and it is expensive. It is over 9.00 on transdesigns and in the store I think it is like 12 or 15.o0.

I have used Seche Vite and was not impressed maybe I will give it anohter try because maybe I am missing something.

I got the top coat from some promotion that Ulta was having, purchase $8.50 of OPI (one bottle of polish, I got "Your Such a Kabuki Queen") and get a free top coat and free base coat. It was too good to pass up. But I guess I got their basic base coat.

When I was first starting to learn to do my nails, the first place I came was here of course! Made a search and a thread from two years ago popped up and a nice poster recommended Seche for top coat and CDL's "Stickey Start" for base coat. So that's what I bought. My nail color lasted much longer with Seche Vite. And it dried in minutes. Seche can get thick and stringy when it gets too old too. Must be the same thing that makes it dry fast on your nails.

Speaking of jewerly, I'm going to get my ears pierced sometime within the next few days. Can you believe it - at my age? I had them done when I was younger but developed horrible allergies to metal so I let them close up. I've heard titanium works well for people with allergies so I'm going to give it a try again - keeping my fingers crossed that I don't have any problems. I have 3 daughters and they've all gotten their ears pierced within the last few months. We're keeping Claire's in business.

I dont know.... I dont use anything, either.

Ive never used any of the Dermologica line - however I got the face lotion for my husband at the last show, and he loves it. Wants more....

Dang, I caught the last thirty seconds. My daugter was reading her story for homework and I couldn't turn the TV on until she was finished. Darn homework!

Anyway, I saw they put the pink leopard bronzer on the older model and I so wished I had seen how they put that on her. Here I have the snow bunny bronzer sitting in my box, never getting used because every time I put it on, my skin takes on a shiny tanned leather appearance. Why does she look so glowey with it on, and I look like my brown leather coach handbag? Maybe I'll play with it some more.

Girls dig Pearls look super-de-dooper fun.... in the tube.

I put it on my lips. Yucko. And so gritty! Apparently there is real pearls all smooshed up into it - and you can tell.

Ew yuck I HATE the feeling of something gritty mixed in my lipgloss. Guess I'll have to find something like that in another brand. I saw the bourjous (sp?) when I was in Ulta the other day. Maybe any of those colors would be a good match?

I saw this product at Costco last week, but not this color. I'm going to go back this weekend and see if they got new colors in. The one they had left was browner and I was looking or pink for spring!

I'm going up north so I need WARM clothes that I will never, ever wear in Florida. Well, it's an excuse for a Macy's day. And the shoes have to match. Now, my big problem will be keeping my suitcase below 50 pounds!

Today I bought a Neutrogena 14-day skin renewing kit and some new eye cream...I shall report on how well it works.

I use a brow powder from three custom color specialists (threecustom.com). I use one of their stock shades but they will actually blend you a custom brow powder if you send in a sample of your hair. I put the basic Ulta brow gel over it.

They will actually custom blend any product. Do you have a favorite discontinued lipstick color? Send it to them and they'll mix up a new one for you. They'll do this for eyeshadow, blush, concealer, etc. Pretty cool, huh?

I was just thinking of asking about brows this morning!
I have the Benefit brow wax/powder kit which is OK, but I'm not crazy about having to paint on my brows with a brush every day; for me it's kind of sloppy. I've been using the L'oreal brow pencil duo (fill with the dark shade and blend with the lighter) and I like it because it gives me more control. Then I use a brow gel (Boots No. 7 right now) to comb them and hold them somewhat in place.

Brows - I have a matte shadow from Tigi that matches my brows really well. I use that, with an angle brush.

Now: do you wax, thread, or pluck?

I shave. With these (from Sally's or Target - wherever):

I couldnt take the pain anymore. I used to have them threaded. I just couldnt HANDLE IT anymore. My eyebrows are crazy sensitive!!!

So, I started doing this a few years ago - and am more than pleased with it.

I get them waxed at a salon and pluck at home in between appointments. I only have them done about 4 times a year, but it just helps me keep the right shape.
