I don't blame you for not waiting! It's been a while since I had time to update, but we had a bump in our road to WDW (discussed it in my pre-trip report) and that together with the end of the school year kept me from getting back here earlier.

Tom has had Shrimper's Heaven several time. You need to get there hungry or you won't have a chance of finishing it - it's huge, but so worth it!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow the food at Miller's Ale House looks soo good!!

Have been reading reviews of off site food and some of the places sound so good. We would probably not go off site for our first visit but will def keep it in mind for a possible future visit

That's the blessing of staying for 4 weeks like we do, we get time to eat offsite!
As much as I LOVE Disney food, we sometimes need to head out into the real world for some "regular" US food!
Are you on the DDP for your visit? If so, you'll find that there are lots of yummy opions for your first visit!

Yummy! That food looks delicious - especially the shrimp!

It was really very good and so much fun to eat outside the "Disney bubble".

That review is one of the main reasons we tend to eat off-site on our trips now. The food looked great

There are so many yummy options outside of Disney too and for us it is all part of the vacation. We can't have any of the offsite goodies during the year, so they are treats as well!

Hi, Karin! I'm guessing that for you school's not done yet, either? the Ale House looks yummy. Your baked potato looks particularly yummy. I know...all that and the potato is what catches my eye!

Our trips are getting so close! I can't wait and I'm sure you can't either.

One more week of school to go. But not much longer and we will be off for 9 weeks, can't wait!
You won't find baked potatoes on menus here in Austria, so I usually have one if they are on the menu!

Yip, our trips are getting VERY close - you will hit the single digits soon and we are less than 6 weeks out! I can finally say NEXT month!

I can't believe your rooms weren't ready even after 3pm! Good thing you had your own car so you could go out. Get any goodies at the mall?

Your meal at the Ale house sounds fantastic! You TR always makes me hungry....but it's not my break yet so I can't have any food! I need to always be snacking on something when reading your updates...

We got used to our room NOT being ready by mid afternoon and it became a running joke. And yes, we did get a few goodies during our shopping trip. Watch out for them in my trip report!

We loved Miller's Ale House! It was recommended to us by a friend here on the DIS and he was spot on ....... the food was yummy!

Oh, I love hamburgers too! We picked up some really yummy seasoning while we were there in February and I guess we will just get back to WDW in time to stock up on it again!
Cooking IS a chore - well, not actually the cooking but the cleaning up afterwards!

Day 6, February 24

Starring Rolls Cafe

We wanted to get out to the parks early to pick up a FP for TSM so we just had a bite to eat in the room.
And after some touring and a few rides we felt hungry and decided to pick up something at the Starring Rolls Cafe.

We got a bottle of water to share and Tom decided to get a

Black Forest Ham Sandwich. These are HUGE and filled with lots of meat. He actually had to devide it into two open sandwiches and the bread was fresh and soft.

It came with a bag of

Potato Chips. Isn't it neat that they bag their own chips now? These were just regular chips, but they came in a nice bag!

Now I had to cater to my sweet desire. I wanted a

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcake.

I can tell you this is an enormous cupcake! I cut it in half so I could see what's inside (and you too! ) and there was some moist cupcake with lots of peanut butter chocolatey filling. I LOAD of icing on top and shavings of dark chocolate. It was VERY good and VERY filling. I had to give up after eating about 3/4 of it.

We were both full and able to go on a few more rides before we left the park and headed to the car. We wanted to do some shopping and have a late lunch at one of our all time favourite restaurants.

Love that chocolate on the cupcake it looks so good! I love chocolate.

We would eat at Bubba Gumps when we visited Kings Island amusement park in Cincinnati, sadly they are no longer there in the park.

I think I need to try one of Starring Roll's cupcakes next trip. Maybe I stand a chance at finishing one if I have just a cupcake and not a whole meal there.

Your Mickey Mouse Sundae is the perfect size. As good as the other sundaes are you really need someone to share with if you want to finish one.

DH ordered the Orange sunshine and didn't like it I thought it was okay, but I guess he expected it to be sweeter maybe? I liked my No Way Jose much better.

Miller's look very good. I love when restaurants have steak and fried shrimp together. Not too many Disney places offer that so we might have to head offsite next time.

Can't wait to hear about BG's. We have never been there but I hope to change that one day.

Catching up. I can't wait to try that caramel popcorn. And we have been to Beaches and Cream so many times, but I have not yet tried the orange slush that Tom had. I will order that in a few weeks when we are there.

I'm planning on grabbing some CS from Starring Rolls on our way out on our DHS day....that sandwich looks great and we all know how delish those cupcakes are!

Sounds like a great meal at Starring Rolls! Those sandwiches are HUGE! But they look delicious!

That cupcake has been calling my name for a VERY long time now, but I've gotta try the red velvet one first.
