Woohoo! Delswife - how wonderful to have you here! Mai Tai say that YOU are the one who got me addicted to the Trip reports board? And Mai Tai say that my sister, who is 4'11" and has issues with her height, is a PRIME candidate fot you and Zurg's website?

Anyway, good EVEning, Maelstromers! I have been spending the day with my family, as well. We has soccer (tied game) and then went to eat seafood. I haven't had raw oysters in almost a year and we found a place here that sells them. Very Louisiana themed. They sell ive crawfish, which is great beacause my parents are coming on Good Friday and that's the one day in Lent that we REALLY can't eat meat. I am SO excited. They also had REAL French bread, which was sooo good I almost cried. (I'm a bread girl. I could NEVER go on Atkins. I'd be a TOTAL witch.)

We are flipping between LSU and the Kids Choice Awards here. I have not DISsed all day. Gotta say I'm proud of my restraint. What is everyone else up to???

It has been so quiet. TG. I finally got back to my life! How cool to see all these coffe shoppers here. They were so nice to me in my hour of need. I hope they feel the love right back.

Congrats on your game. Girl, I don't doubt you were loud, but you have such panache you can get away with cattle calling.

I have stayed away from this computer for a whole day. And what happens. Free dining. Wonder if it will get dh to sneak an extra trip in!

Gotta love it....I am so hoping it stays all in the SEC but the way UCLA is rockin' I don't know.....My Bad Girl little 21 year old sister is in Vegas right now and actually bet on UF like she's a pro or something! We were a sight here...both girls in UF cheerlading outfits and Charming and I were decked out in Gator Gear down to our 'foundation garments'....

Not much happening, saw the free dining...but being a FL resident and AP holder I don't think we'll ever be able to choke, choke pay rack rate to get the free dining. I mean, maybe at the values.....but August is definitely not our favorite time to go and September....well that's FOOTBALL season! Can't travel then!

Well, I better get back to planning our May itinerary. Charming is actually in a listening/contributing mood!

Hi tink- I love oysters! You made me think of this incredible recipe we make every christmas- a type of oyster rockefeller with spinach and parmesean. Good for you for staying away. It is addictive, isn't it?

Anyway, we've had a pretty good day. Family wise, you know. We were at the ballfields this morning at 8:30 and just got back a couple of hours ago. I wish they had a tired smilie cause I sure would stick him in right here.

DD had a good day cause she got Nachos and a Ring Pop. She's been looking forward to ball season starting for weeks just so she can get some of those darn Nachos.

They lost their last game by two runs, but that's okay. They played their hearts out. And I do have to say that although I cheer for my team, I am encouraging in my craziness. Not discouraging. There's a big difference. Why some parents want to cheer and scream and act like idiots when the little guy on the other team strikes out is completely beyond me.

Yeah, judging from the slow pace of the Maelstrom thread the last couple of days, I think everybody has been spending a little more time with the family. That's always a good thing.

I have to say that I'm really glad to see some of the other coffee drinkers over here posting. It's really kind of cool.
