Today is my day for relection in light of the recent whirling dervish. This meant to be uplifting, so with apologies to my most recent favorite TR'er, hucifer for stealing her line, there's no crying in Disney World, or in the maelstrom. Words cannot express how much you all have come to mean to me. So, I will let one of my favorite cuties, Ryan Cabrera, do the talking for me.

I don't know if anyone remembers my post about the shirts that I ordered from disneyshopping.com, but I got a really lame email from them today?

Because I used Mickey's name in the text, they won't process the shirts. So, I had to call them and have them change the name Mickey to the word Merry instead.

I bought these shirts for all of us specifically to wear to the MVMCP.

Now you'd think they would be more worried about me using a version of that phrasing more than just the single word Mickey, at least I would.

So now the shirts read:

Very Merry 17th Birthday Party instead of Very Mickey 17th Birthday Party.

The funny thing is that I chose Mickey over Merry to keep it from sounding too similar to MVMCP to begin with...

silly imho...

Hauntie and I talked about her role in bringing the group together. She humbly said "You don't need me over there. I just broke the ice". Indeed she did, but she also continued to play a pivotal role in the life of this little community. Her loss represents a terrible void.

It is not a matter of needing. Needing and wanting are two different things. I really hope mel reconsiders. I need (um, i mean want) to read the rest of her trip report.

P.S. Our one terrible fateful night at the All Star Movies also drained my will to live. Along with Maelstrom. And Living With the Land.

Oh yeah... and eating at the Biergarten. Twice.

I don't post much, I'm more of a quiet lurker and I don't check the board daily. The above makes me sad that I may not read the rest of Mel's trip report. I just want to add my name to the petition to bring her back! I read many many trip reports and, no disrespect to anyone else, but Mel's really are the most entertaining; its a sad day if we can't continue going to Disney thru her eyes......Just my 2 cents.

OK – so the moral of the story is – there is no moral. Obviously. Just wanted to tell you I went to the beach. And got a little sun. And 2 old guys got a thrill. And cause DH really loves me we stopped for ice cream on the way home. I had 1 scoop of chocolate chip mint on a sugar cone and he had a chocolate vanilla twist.

Everyone feeling distracted. My work is done. Got to cook now. Later gators!

y'know I've lurked on this board for a long time and I'm sure I'll get flamed big time for saying this...but sometimes this place is a lot like high school. There are the "cool" people in charge and the rest of who feel intimidated and afraid of being made fun of we say something that the rest of you don't like. You send people "PM'S" if they are on the "YOU OFFENDED US" list and reassure the rest that they aren't on the "BAD LIST" and those people are actually RELIEVED!! WHO CARES what a name on message board thinks?. Who are you people anyways? You don't OWN this thread...free speech people. I don't know, it just seems silly to me all this boo hooing over one person. She's a grown up...if she wanted to leave, get over it. Nobody asked her to leave...and I find it funny that when the "cool people" are being offensive you jump to their defense, but if anybody else has an opinon, GOD HELP THEM. You seem to be like a pack of sheep...the Queen bee gets offended and the rest of you jump on the bandwagon.

I say, grow up...if Mel happywhatsit doesn't like the rules she can make a choice, and she did! Good for her...she was being creatively stifled...
