Hey Zzub, the best Peter Pan interaction is with a Grand Gathering. You need to have 8 people, but there are always groups at the DIS that form to do this... or just find 5 friends/relations to go with you...

The Magical Voyage is a Wishes cruise, they tell the PP story and then you get a special meet and greet at the end.

If you call the WDW phone number there is a Grand Gathering option on the phone tree. They can fill you in.

This has been the strangest, oddest day. I just finished de-briefing my wife on this day and what happened here and, as many of you know, it sounds even stranger when you say it out loud to someone who doesn't post here. As strange as it was to watch most of it unfold before my eyes, it sounded even more bizarre as I tried to explain it to my wife.

I am reminded that the world is made up of all kinds of people.

Like many of you, I hope Mel doesn't leave for ever. There are other boards of course, but I believe this one has the largest audience for her work. I'd hate for it to be restricted to just a handful of people.

Mel: if you are lurking (I hope like heck you are) maybe we can all agree NOT to run commentary on yours (or anyone else's) trip report thread. Maybe we can all agree to limit our comments on that thread and post our gloss on your trip report over here. Yes, it will be a bit of a pain in the tuckus to have to read on one page and comment some place else, but it beats the heck out of having to find your trip report someplace else.

It aint a perfect solution, but it's workable. I hope you'll consider it. We can't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

Finally, I want my Maelstrom friends to know how much I enjoy y'all. I just spent some time praying and I asked the Lord to minister to each of us. It's odd feeling connected to almost complete strangers, and yes, it feels silly to pray for Horsegirl and Mel, Sheridac and Momofmnm, Master G and LaLa, AshClan and Loubon, Pooh and Hoop, but I reckon if He can raise His Son from the dead, He knows our real names. I think this is the first time I post in this thread, and if not, I don't think I have posted here often because it's too difficult to follow what happens on the CB from in the office. (that is, my office, not THE office )

I am not quite sure WHAT happened on the TR-board, I saw a comment about riding GS and then a very short TR and then a locked thread and and and... did I miss something?

I tried to send Mel a PM, but I think many people before me have done that too, Mel's inbox is full.

This past week, I experienced about the same thing as Mel, namely the narrowmindedness on Disney discussion boards, whether it's the DIS or another one. Apparantly, although we all love the rat, the chicken and some other characters, some people can't stand that others have fun or so, which I think is very sad.

Mel, I really really hope we'll get to read the rest of the second never-ending TR somewhere. I tried to give you another venue through a PM, I'll try again later on, maybe by then, you will have deleted some other messages, and mine will get through.

You know, I knew from the vettechick threads that it isn't a good thing to start a "conversation" on the TR-board and I try to not do it, but at some point, you just have to answer and then you get a reaction and you react again, just because it's so fun.

I feel bad because probably my posts also contributed to the whole thing going on.
This is already the second or third "incident" this week on different Disney forums, and well... it's not that fun anymore...

I too tried to somewhat explain this to my DH last night and he was shall we say confused. I must admit as I tried to look at it from his prospective, it does seem very odd I have a bond with people I have never 'met'. But I do and.....

Oh, Sandra, please don't feel responsible. You are the LEAST guilty in this crowd. We all contributed. As usual, the warnings were given, then the lock down happened about 5 minutes later, with no opportunity to correct the error of our ways. But by no means should you feel badly about it.

And sorry you feel that it's not that fun anymore. We're trying our best to continue making it fun (especially Lou!), but I agree, it's tough at times.

Guess we can all agree that Hot Snot, Cheese, Gary, and Disney (?!?!) are things that we can't talk about anymore..........

It may sound silly to pray for people you have not met face to face, but when you pray, you pray to one who not only knows our names but has accounted for every hair on our body.

The lead counselor knows exactly how to represent his clients. This counselor has no office hours and the only fee is to love him. I believe that in some degree we are all connected by this love. No Moderator, nothing, no one can turn off that thread. When one door is closed another will be opened and I can bet my friend, that it will be better than the one before it. Please keep praying for all of us. I too prayed last night and will continue to pray. The outcome may not be what we hope for, it may be better!
