....Hi J and R's mom - long time since i said Hi. But I asked about you when you were AWOL...

HI! Thanks for thinking about me while I was out on vacation.

I've been away from the computer for about 3 hours and 4 pages popped up. By the time catch up I typically need to go tend to a kid....and them come back and catch up and time to tend to a kid again...makes it hard to post as much as I'd like to.

Where's Mel and what is this about mommyp and a fire?

I saw that thread when only a couple of people posted on it. I didn't reply cause it was indeed creepy dee!

I've only partaken in a locked thread, but not because of what I said. That was back in the day when the Debate Board existed. Now that was some entertainment

Grammy - Great tips about the perimeter! My problem is I was one of those annoying skinny 20-somethings who could eat what they wanted all day long. Now that I'm in my 40's - payback is a real witch with a "b"!!

I just raided the Easter Candy. I ate all the taffey last week, so today it was a marshmallow easter egg. It was good going down, but now.............blah. Major, little throw up in my mouth! And a few notches on my backside!

No grits. Fried Chicken, Ham, Green Beans, Mac N Cheese, Broccoli casserole, coleslaw, deviled eggs, rolls, congealed salad (which, to me, is just Jello, but they felt compelled to call it congealed SALAD b/c there was fruit in it). Tea, both sweetened and unsweetened and water to drink. Cake, brownies, or apple crisp for dessert. Everyone was stuffed.

I asked about the boxes, because I didn't know you could make Mac and Cheese from scratch.... I've got the kids trained to eat the microwave stuff

Again - WOW - that's a lot of noodles!

Like most kids, mine prefer Kraft over homemade. Even worse, they want the super quick kind that they now market to make in the microwave. 3 1/2 minutes and it's done! They bought me a bag of noodles at Sam's Club - 96 ounces of elbows. I didn't use them all, but did use about 3/4 of the bag. Criminy!

Yup, he did. And then there was that post this morning that resulted in the *poof* thread, so I was really glad I did.

Honestly, I just removed them from my siggie. They are actually still in my member gallery here on the DIS. I don't host mine at other sites, so there is no account information that I have to worry about (I don't think.) And I didn't remove them from where they are posted in the thread, so it is a small concession to safety.

I'm sure I should be more safety-conscious on a daily basis, given what I do and what my husband does. Everything is a question of degrees, though.

YAK, I hear ya, sista!! I can't decide if I was lucky because I got to eat all I wanted until I hit 35, or if that gave me bad habits, and I should wish I was like so many of my friends who always had to watch their weight!! The 40's ....those dogs suck.

Frickles -- Yum, we'll have to try the tomato pie recipe. And I don't think I told you how cute your avatar is. We have photos of our little Merryweather in dh's shirt pocket, as well as both Merryweather and Merlin going cruisin' in the barbie vette. I'll have to see if I can find them.

JW -- Nobody could stalk me by posting pics of my kitties, right? They're both gone now too, making the kitten-based stalking all the more difficult. But seriously, I appreciate your gentle reminder about internet safety. Sometimes even if you're just putting a little out there at atime, it's easy to forget that there are wackos out there who might take all those little pieces and put them together.

Ash -- About renting points ... the F&W Festival is one of the more popular times of year for DVC owners, especially at the Epcot resorts. Maybe that's why you're having trouble? Another option is, if you know a DVC member that you trust, you could arrange a points transfer. Essentially it boils down to the same thing as renting, except that the points are transferred to your DVC friend and then are in his/her control for your reservation. (as opposed to being in the control of a stranger)

DisneyMommyMichelle -- What have you DONE? Venturing over to the dark side ... we're lucky we got you back alive from the CB. I must be looking at the wrong times, because whenever I go there none of the thread topics seem to interest me. Dark or otherwise. People put the most random topics over there.

zzub You are one of the most eloquent and tactful people I've ever (not) met. I'm glad to know that you are still around!

Alrighty folks - gotta share a happy moment. Y'all know how much I love my kid and family. But I am still in official they stink mood for going to Disney without me. But, Wesley called me a little while ago. I gotta tell y'all about it.

We've shared before that we have been able to meet cast members - by mere luck - on a couple of occasions. Mostly because we have been so much, I think, and that Wesley is such a cute little stinker, the cast members have remembered him which has brought some really neat moments.

So anyway, they were able today to have a private meet with Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip. I haven't got any pictures to share cause RHonda has the camera, but apparently it was a long thing. He danced with her and talked with Prince Phillip about his horse Samson. Apparently they were together for quite some time. Getting lots of pictures etc.

So he called me a little while ago talking a mile a minute about what had happened and how cool it was and that he gave his leftover carrots from lunch to Prince Phillip so that Samson could have a little snack, and that he bowed to Princess Aurora and kissed her hand all on his own. He is just the man!

Anyway, I had a little magic happen and I'm 5 hours away. Thought I'd share. Cause I'm here, by myself and have no one else to share with. CAUSE MY FAMILY IS AT DISNEY WORLD WITHOUT ME!!!! heee hee.
