Who can tell me what really happens if you put someone on ignore? This is a real question.
I have often wondered this myself. Would you like me to put you on ignore just to check it out? I think I will, but if I suddenly can't see your posts, then I'm removing it immediately. Send me a PM in about 10 minutes and we'll see what happens!

Okay, I tried it, and it hid all of your posts, so I took it off immediately. I assume it would block any PMs from you also.

Hey Vikings! The following was forwarded to me today and when I read it I immediately knew which of my friends to share it with. Enjoy!

ONE LITTLE LETTER MAKES A DIFFERENCE -- The Washington Post's Mensa Invitational once again asked readers to take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing one letter, and supply a new definition.
Here are some of winners:
-- Cashtration (n.): The act of buying a house, which renders the subject financially impotent for an indefinite period of time.
-- Ignoranus: A person who's both stupid and an a$$hole.
-- Intaxication: Euphoria at getting a tax refund, which lasts until you realize it was y our money to start with.
-- Giraffiti: Vandalism spray-painted very, very high.
-- Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn't get it.
-- Inoculatte: To take coffee intravenously when you are running late.
-- Hipatitis: Terminal coolness.
-- Karmageddon: It's like, when everybody is sending off all these really bad vibes, right?
-- Decafalon (n.): The grueling event of getting through the day consuming only things that are good for you.
-- Glibido: All talk and no action.
-- Dopeler effect: The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly.
-- Arachnoleptic fit (n.): The frantic dance performed just after you've accidentally walked through a spider web.
-- Caterpallor (n.): The color you turn after finding half a worm in the fruit you're eating

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

These are great! Thanks for the giggles, Sher.

Which one is me? I'm liking the Decafalon. Especially since I just stepped on a scale at the gym and nearly fainted from the horror. :scared1: I'm back to the "grueling event"...effective immediately!!

Oh, and all you banana-crazy ladies better cut it out, or you're going to be in BIG trouble with Mel when she gets back!!

I do, too! I have the Miller bag (good-sized carryon tote) in Java Blue, I absolutely love it! And I have a cosmetics bag, too. My sister has 3 or 4 of the purses. I love Vera Bradley for traveling!

You have JAVA BLUE!!!! I am so jealous. I love that print! I want to get that in the Little Betsy! I have a collection of VB as well. I love them so much. But they are soooo addictive as well.

I just knew you guys would have the LOL

Amy put me on ignore. This is a test of the ignore button. I also PM'd her.

Ash - today I bought a pedometer that measures steps, distance and calories burned. Geez, I even had to enter my weight to set it.
I also bought one of those body balls. Down boys. It comes with exercises for your buttocks. If it works Chris I will let you know :rotfl2:

Grammy, Well, the good news is that I was at the GYM when I weighed myself. Since vacation, then my business trip, my exercise and diet regimen hasn't been working very well. I am back to business as of right now, though. I have my yearly physical on the 15th, and although my doctor is always very nice and diplomatic when I'm a little overweight, I would be horrified for her to see me at this weight. So, there's my incentive!!

POLYMOMMY - I need your inspiration!!! Maybe I should hit my local WW this weekend - if only I had the time! (I AM a lifetime member, but have done better with South Beach in recent years....)

Ash, I am a SB girl. Let me know if you have any questions or need ideas.

Thanks Chris. I had lots of success with it the 1st time, a little less the second time. In between, I took a nutrition class that used the Exchange System (Diabetic ***'n), which is similar to WW. Somehow, it didn't work this time for me. When I started cutting carbs/following SB again, it worked better. But, it is certainly getting harder and harder to find anything that delivers results as I get older. Can't bring myself to go to Phase 1 again, but I'm going to follow the Phase 2 rules as well as I can to get back on track. Love me some mini breakfast quiches and chicken salads! Do you have any other favorite recipes?

Well - we made it to page 400! :cool1:

Maelstromer...........is a fastpass?

DH and DS left a little while ago for Georgia. DS was sooooo excited. They didn't tell his best friend he was coming, so it'll be a surprise for when they arrive. The whole thing actually brings tears to my eyes. I gave him a throw away camera and told him to take lots of pic's (he's 7 so that'll be interesting!)

Master Gracie: Welcome! I see you have passed all the tests! I was gonna tell you you just have to edit every post (as some of us who try to catch up sometimes only read the edits....hee-hee) but Sheridac beat me to it - the secrets in the edit!

Tink - good luck on your move and I know how you feel about not being on line. When we moved I was offline for about 3 weeks. However the Maelstrom thread didn't exist then - so I guess it wasn't so bad :thumbsup2

MarkyMark - have a great 80's party! Sounds like fun.

Poop - I'll just say you are too funny! Your posts make me laugh out loud and throw up a little in my mouth.

Ashc(l)an - great initiation overview. We won't tell him about the secret ones though......

Sheridac - Skaters change directions :rotfl2: and Glibido: All Talk no action :rotfl: :lmao:

DMM - spicey taco's - those are good for a few :moped:

Speaking of which.......great post Zzub. and this one's for you.... :moped:

Exellent   Pongo - loved it, mean it!

Grammy - 14 or 24's the limit...... (I think)

Lillygator - Hey! Nice to see you!

GA - WOW Mac and Cheese for 75! You da Queen! :cheer2: I might be able to do PB&J for 75, but anything that involves cooking/heat - no way!
Question then - How many boxes of Kraft Mac and Cheese does it take to feed 75?? Ask GA - she'll know!

Lil Grumpy - again another great post!

Ok, going home for the day.

It was nice to meet, re-meet, or otherwise fraternize with you all.

See ya over the weekend.

Hmmm, as I reflect, I think the more disturbing question is what we thought we were doing feeding Mac N cheese to all the local bigwigs.

Answer: it's GEORGIA. Mac N Cheese is it's own food group. (BTW, it was homemade from scratch. With the roux base and everything. It was GOOOOD!)

Tax question for those of you who think you are taxed to death in the US:

How much does it cost for two FREE airline points tickets to Georgia from Canada? (please note the FREE in the above sentence)

:confused3

Give up?

See the edit......

Amy, STOP IT! I love love love homemade mac n cheese, and I make a really good one. :stir: You are sabotaging my diet before it even begins!!!!

Girls - Diet plans. I have read every diet book known to man. Eliminating carbs does seem to work for me. BUT and this is a big BUT. The easiest diet to follow and believe me it works is as follows:

When you go to the grocery store, only shop the perimeter of the store. Do not go near the center. Fruits, Veggies, Meats, Dairy.

The farther you go towards the interior of the store, the more additives, preservatives, etc, etc, etc. That is the bad stuff. You don't need to count anything. Eat only fresh and don't fry it of course. Whole grain bread, you all get the drift. This plan is nutritionally good as well as better for all your inerds(is that a word). The theory behind this book partially had to do with the fact that 100 years ago there were no processed foods and less overweight people.

My DH and I tried this 2 years ago and both dropped alot of weight very quickly. And felt better instantly after removing alot of preservatives, etc. I used to live on stomach medications (RX and OTC) and stopped needing them completly within about a 2 week period.

My work is complete for the day. That is all the knowledge I have. Going for a walk with Hayley.

Were there grits too???

I asked about the boxes, because I didn't know you could make Mac and Cheese from scratch.... ;) I've got the kids trained to eat the microwave stuff :teeth:

Again - WOW - that's a lot of noodles!

Okay, so I just figured out that I've had a post disappear. It's the first time it's happened to me (I missed all those on the TR board.)

Did anyone see the thread this morning about an asian school girl in uniform? It was creepy-dee. So I replied on the thread that I thought it was creepy-dee. Now the entire thread (and my response) is *poof*

You are so right, Grammy. Of course, that kind of fits in with South Beach philosophy, too (except, perhaps, the new Kraft "SB" products!)
Unfortunately, I have two young boys who would have nervous breakdowns if I stuck to that for them. Actually, they would probably starve. I admit it, my children are too picky for their own good. (But they are both really skinny, so at least they're not part of the overweight youth culture!)

Grammy - are you talking about Schwarzbein (spelling uncertain). My mom swears by her - eats lots of grains (oatmeal, etc.) nuts, veggies. Nothing processed or preserved. Only whole-grain bread. She looses weight, her cholesterol drops. Her doctor is astounded.

Have a nice walk with Hayley!
