Awww, I hope she's not. I think sometimes it's really hard to get your true feelings across with written words. I am so sarcastic and have a dry sense of humor that I'm afraid I come off as a witch sometimes.

I hope not too...............she pmed me and I pmed her back, but I'm not sure how she was feeling at the end. And she's not here, and she usually is at this time. Shoulda kept my mouth shut................

Dh's father came here illegally..........he is a legal resident alien now but not a citizen..............this one is close to me.

I don't have any bad feelings about the people themselves.
I know they are all real people and just trying to do the best they can for their families.

It's the Mexican govt that makes me upset... it just seems they let their people live in abject poverty and do nothing to change it. The Mexican people shouldn't have to choose between their country and a decent life.

Does that make sense from your perspective... It's such a complex issue... I wish there was an easy answer.

RB, I wasn't offended so much as disappointed when I read the post, and yes, a little saddened, but not really about you, just being reminded that sometimes the people you love most, don't always see things the same way as you.

But that's okay. Friends can think differently and still be friends.

I'm glad you clarified how you feel, and I'm glad you're not mad at me for saying something. I think it's important to tell folks when something bothers you, or it will keep on bothering.

You are right it IS a complex issue, and I wish more people would say that, rather than throw down on one side or the other, and you DID say that in your original post.............. .

I think it would have been easier for me if there weren't already other "hot button" threads out........and a friend of mine having a bad time.........and it's bill day, which always gets me unhappy anyway.

As I always say, it's all good............

I was but didn't see anything interesting. I try to avoid some of the threads and I'm pretty much planned out, so I haven't been reading any of those types, either.
